The Jets had their hopes absolutely shit on (like what happens to them every year) but the biggest disaster in the league rn is definitely the poor panthers.
The only thing better than seeing Rodgers go down after so much hype is seeing the whole team be bad next year when he tries to come back. Aaron is done doing anything significant and thats lovely.
Since 2013 the panthers have had 5 playoff appearances and a Super Bowl appearance. In that same span the jets have had one season above 500 and zero playoff appearances. I don’t think he forgot about the panthers.
@AnthonyLumia at least the Jets got a first round pick for the next 2 years and beyond with options to work on and fix roster wholes while already having alot of talent and a elite defense to help lighten the load for the young and growing offense.
Jets fans having to defend their team against the 2-15 anti-CJ Stroud Panthers as not the biggest dumpster tire fire in the league. That is funny. OK I will give you the Panthers are worse because of their pathetic owner, but that is all.
@adamderrick606 nah I'm not a jets I'm a falcons fan struggling to find reasons other than fantasy football to watch football but be 100% real the jets are not in hell at least at face value they can fix their roster holes have plenty of cap space. Have young talented defensive and offensive players. Experienced veterans, and 1st round picks to fix sed problems. The panthers don't have a wrist round pick for the next TWO years, no weapons oline, or good defense. They have a let's be frank shity owner and their most impactful defensive star who could at least be trade piece for picks are free agents in 2024 (Brian Burns) and a hopefully franchise qb that is getting crushed literally and struggling mentally and talent wise to develop because of his situation. If the end up breaking Bryce they now have no first for 2 years the need of a Franchise qb which are a dime in a dozen and so many holes to even get the roster to 8 wins.
Saleh sounds like an emotional wreck as a HC. Hate how they handled zach, he let the whole team rep that mike white gear and continuously put him/took him off and on the bench. That OL cant block for shit, they got rodgers injured the first damn drive of the season. Saleh should be the DC.
It's rough because even in the best case scenario, they get it all right, Rodgers plays great and takes them to the playoffs, do we really think they can beat Mahomes, Burrow, Allen, Lamar, CJ, and chain together a deep playoff run, let alone a Superbowl. They're screwed.
@@elscruffomcscruffy8371 lmao you're a clown if you think the NFL even can be rigged. Also Rodgers has generated probably the most negative press for the NFL since Henry Ruggs
If you’re a team that is entirely reliant on one player then you’re probably in trouble. Let alone if that player is a 40 year old with a recent injury history.
The sad part is that the Jets have a good defense but their offense is garbage. The money spent on QB's is, like some other teams, killing the ability to get better players on the O-line.
Throughout the season I couldn't help but just feel bad for Zach Wilson. He clearly has some natural abilities, and it showed at times, most notably during the prime time game against the Chiefs where he outplayed Mahomes. But he didn't want this, nobody on the team wanted this. The whole time its felt like he got thrown to the sharks and was expected to just figure it out. The fact that Salah had no confidence in him behind closed doors is just sad to hear. I really hope wherever he goes after the Jets surrounds him with good coaching like Darnold has
AR-12/8 is not the answer to the Jets although he probably gets them to the playoffs in 2024. AR-12/8 is great in the regular season (I’m a GB Packer since the Ice Bowl in 1966), but in the playoffs he finds a way to wilt, it seems. The last four years he became impossible for me to cheer for with his huge contract and endless talking. TB-12 never talked so much. So he may get the Jets to 11-6, the playoffs but the SB?? But MIRACLES CAN STILL HAPPEN! AR-12 SB MVP in 2025?
I really don’t get why coaches don’t see the success they have with their running game and then just turn into a running team. Are they blind? Stupid? Both? It’s just so frustrating.
You didn't mention in the story that Wilson claimed Rodgers basically abandoned their friendship after the injury. Stopped mentoring him, stopped helping him develop. Real deadbeat dad stuff. It's like a Weezer song.
Aaron is about Aaron. I used to love him and somewhere along the line he seemed to become a different person. Held GB hostage for years. Couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy but sorry for Jets.
Still waiting for bowling coverage . Why must u tease us with the bowling sounds in theme song ! Professional bowling and synchronized swimming are better way than football bro
The Jets, and to a lesser extent, the Mets, are the answer to "Can this city support two teams in the same league?" Most of the time, one of those teams is going to be historically competitive at the least, or winning regularly at best, and the other one is the runt of the litter. Both the Jets and Mets have had a day in the sun, but that's almost been exclusively it. Both reside in the "good enough to get their fans' hopes up" as a ceiling, and more likely in the "will this team ever win again?" category. LA and Chicago both suffer from this as well. Clippers, Angels, White Sox...teams that can look good for a short period, maybe win a title, but then never get close to that peak again. When someone asks if there can be another team, the answer should be "Why would you want one?"
it's honestly impressive that they got even 7 wins with Zach Wilson and Trevor Siemian at QB. If that's what they can do with sub-par quarterbacks, than I wouldn't be surprised if they made a playoff run with Rdogers at the helm, even if he is a bit washed.
Before i even play the video. Yes. The jets have been one of the only teams to constantly destroy themselves on a consistent basis. Ive only been a jets fan a short time, maybe a couple years ago when i really started getting into football, but i already feel like ive aged 10-15 years everytime they make new moves, play and ultimately fail
What is wild is I thought Saints and Jets were going to have the most improved seasons compared to last year. Now they are each in a position where they basically have to next year.
On the "is Rodgers elite anymore" talk, people seem to overlook that his stats from basically 2015 through 2019 his stats were regressing. Then the Packers drafted Jordan Love and he got so ticked off that he basically went on a late career Linsanity run before seemingly reverting back to the trend he was back on after 2019. I don't think he's that guy anymore.
Robert Saleh makes me laugh, Jets fans were screaming cut Zach Wilson, it's time to move on. Robert Saleh is like, Move on? No, I'll make you continue watching him instead. What a terribly ran organization, allowing the rest of the league to see that, but Aaron Rodgers will save them, uh huh.
I feel like the other New Jersey team is in just as much trouble next year. Stuck with a bust at QB that they can't trade or move on from. No weapons to speak of on offense except for Saquon and they don't value him one bit, and a head coach who started off great but is developing a reputation for being "hard to work with".
They are stuck with the Bills and Dolphins. Have questions on the O-Line & a head coach that can't adapt the offense but yet brags on how good the defense is "keeping them in limbo" yeah, the Jets are just. . .The Broncos but green.
They have AR-8/12 and that’s enough said! I’m a GB Packers fan and was ecstatic when they decided to have someone else play: Jordan Love! The Jets will suck so bad in 2024 that they’ll wonder; “What just happened to us? I thought we were going to be better? This guy was supposed to be better than Zack Wilson? What happened?” Most inspirational?? Wacky to me?
The Jets are somehow dysfunctional with a HOF QB on the roster and a good head coach and good weapons, my question is how the hell does Rich Eisen watch them all year 😂
But the Broncos will get out of it first. Every single team has issues. The Jets hurt themselves more than anything. Fan since 1994. Thirty years of this.
One thing I’ll say is, the head coach usually doesn’t have too much say in draft picks, so blaming Saleh for Wilson seems unfair. Thats a failure of their scouting department, GM, and owner. I’d be frustrated too if I had an MVP QB who got hurt 4 plays into the first game of the season and was left with Zach Wilson 😂
It's hard for me to explain how I went from being his biggest fan to so glad he's gone, in less than a year. He's not the same man, like something is wrong, after 16yrs here, not the same guy.
I'll give my honest opinion on the Jets, as a Jets fan: Losing Aaron Rodgers really brought to light some of the bigger issues with the Jets 1. The coaching staff on the offensive side of the ball is horrendous 2. The offensive line is currently in shambles 3. We need a #2 receiver to take the pressure off of Garrett Wilson 4. The Jets assembled the worst QB room of all time behind Aaron Rodgers 1a. Will Aaron Rodgers mask some of the coaching deficincies on the offensive side of the ball? Absolutely......he won't fix everything tho. I'll take my chances with "pissed off, chip on your shoulders" Aaron Rodgers over Zach Wilson, the WORST QB in the NFL over the last 3 seasons 2a. First and foremost, can we get better injury luck on the OL this year?.......give me a healthy AVT at guard and Joe Tippman at Center who had a solid rookie year. Get a solid OT in free agency and in the draft and the OL can easily be average 3a. We don't even have to go too crazy at WR2 in my opinion.......a Calvin Ridley would be a nice cost-effective option. People shit on him but he had 1,000 yards and 8 touchdowns 4a. Get a proven backup QB just in case Aaron Rodgers misses a few games I'm not super optimistic about the Jets post-Aaron Rodgers........but I can't look at this team and predict them to have a losing record next season if Aaron Rodgers actually stays healthy most of the season and they do everything else I mentioned

Dude all that misery is on you, you are doing this to yourself. Do the best thing you can ever do and pick a decent organization
With the reputation the field at the Jets stadium has, I see Rodgers injuring his Achilles again.
When Bono wrote With Or Without You he definitely was thinking about Rodgers and the Jets.
The Jets o-line is so bad that Rogers didn't get through a whole series. That's not going to work regardless of the quarterback.
Emotional Support Coach! Perfection!
The mom bit got me 😂
Can someone make a shirt with the same font that says NY JEST.
Emotional support coach, thank you that is awesome.
16:58 How does Rodgers have a QBR of 39.6 after only playing less than 5 snaps?!
I think they dumped Mike White on purpose so that Wilson would be solid at #2. Boyle should not have been on an NFL roster. Look at his college stats. He had never thrown more TDs than picks. If you aren't good enough to play div 2 college then the NFL is not for you
So I wonder how he even gets a start in the NFL if his college stat's were garbage? Geez, there are dubbed 'mediocre' QB college QBs now that are written off before even being considered for the NFL...
@@elscruffomcscruffy8371 yeah I wondered the same thing. Played for a no name school against no name opposition and did not dominate, or even do well. I'm a Dolphins fan and before he started vs Miami I pointed out his pro stats and my friend said, for a good laugh check out his college stats. I could not believe it.
Only Perna could give us a reason to not buy his product in advertising it
Hiring Hackett was a stupid move.. everyone memoryholed just how bad he was as OC in Buffalo, the best thing Marrone did when he abandoned the team was taking Hackett with him
The Jets had their hopes absolutely shit on (like what happens to them every year) but the biggest disaster in the league rn is definitely the poor panthers.
I just remember before the season everyone being high on the Jets and just thinking, “Jets are gonna Jet”
Actually, it was Tyrion who used that tactic. He used it the Grand Maester, Little Finger, and Varys.
Yep, the man had a tough life, a hard row to sow, and now he gets no credit for his political skills from Perna. Poor show.
The only thing better than seeing Rodgers go down after so much hype is seeing the whole team be bad next year when he tries to come back. Aaron is done doing anything significant and thats lovely.
I think you forgot about the sensational 2-15 Panthers who were a easy 2 scores away from being the first 0-17 team ever
Since 2013 the panthers have had 5 playoff appearances and a Super Bowl appearance. In that same span the jets have had one season above 500 and zero playoff appearances. I don’t think he forgot about the panthers.
@AnthonyLumia true but he's talking about this football season and beyond which I'd argue the panthers are in a way way worse situation.
Yup. haven’t even watched the video yet - jets fan
Saleh sounds like an emotional wreck as a HC. Hate how they handled zach, he let the whole team rep that mike white gear and continuously put him/took him off and on the bench. That OL cant block for shit, they got rodgers injured the first damn drive of the season. Saleh should be the DC.
The only reason Manning won a Superbowl with Denver is because the defense carried him that year. All the previous years he couldn't pull it off.
It's rough because even in the best case scenario, they get it all right, Rodgers plays great and takes them to the playoffs, do we really think they can beat Mahomes, Burrow, Allen, Lamar, CJ, and chain together a deep playoff run, let alone a Superbowl. They're screwed.
And IF we get to the Superbowl, we gotta go against Goff, Purdy, Love, or Hurts. We really don't stand a chance here
Yea but Rodgers feels entitled to another SB...so...his relationship with Roger and the Refs...
@Babylonian-Cowboythey have a great oline compared to the jets
Right now? Theyve been a disaster for a hell of a long time.
Straight up. Tuxedo hoodie on Perna is the coldest fashion statement this year. Where can I find it?
Perna: You MUST look at the upcoming drafts for SF and ARI. 11 and 13 picks!!! They can move up and down at will for whomever they wish!
@@user-rw2em7kv7nyou could be talking about brett favre
Still waiting for bowling coverage . Why must u tease us with the bowling sounds in theme song ! Professional bowling and synchronized swimming are better way than football bro
Aaron was like, "get the BS out of the building" and Athletic was like, "we can have a dump truck here in 30 minutes. we already sent an intern."
The fact that Zach Wilson’s most positive attribute is that he sleeps with mothers is still hilarious to me
it's honestly impressive that they got even 7 wins with Zach Wilson and Trevor Siemian at QB. If that's what they can do with sub-par quarterbacks, than I wouldn't be surprised if they made a playoff run with Rdogers at the helm, even if he is a bit washed.
Defenses won't be allowed to touch him without drawing a penalty. He'll be a protected species just below Mahomes level
The MetLife turf will attack his achilles again. Expect a repeat of 2023 in 2024.
Run? No, they will get in playoffs and Rodgers will have a sub par performance, then he blames everyone else….
Especially as the Saints had the easiest schedule in the NFL🤦♂️🤷🏻♂️
@@FRANKSNAKE71 they make the playoffs instead of Buccaneers I think we see them in the championship over the Lions.
You need two more ads for garbage that people wont buy.
It may in some way, help the Jets next year.
I'm like 90% certain that Rodgers would not have gotten hurt on a grass field. His injury is the exact thing you see more of on turf.
Being 40 doesn't help either
When you rupture one Achilles isn’t it soooooo much easier to rupture the other one? Good luck next year.
I believe the reports were that rodgers wanted to keep wilson.
And since rodgers was treated as a gm they probably did what he said.
Sharing false details in Game of Thrones was Tyrion Lannister AND a great skill for catching a sneak.
I feel like the other New Jersey team is in just as much trouble next year. Stuck with a bust at QB that they can't trade or move on from. No weapons to speak of on offense except for Saquon and they don't value him one bit, and a head coach who started off great but is developing a reputation for being "hard to work with".
Joe Douglas is the real incompetent. He's been 'general manager' the last 5 years and still hasn't produced a single winning season. SMH
I don’t think they’re as big of a disaster as the Denver Broncos are.
Hey us Bronco fans know we suck, just bringing the Jets up to speed😂
They are stuck with the Bills and Dolphins.
Have questions on the O-Line & a head coach that can't adapt the offense but yet brags on how good the defense is "keeping them in limbo" yeah, the Jets are just. . .The Broncos but green.
The Packers won this divorce. Period.
Do not thaw shrimp with warm water.
Idk if we should be talking biggest disaster when Sean Payton let the Fish drop over 70 points on your domes.
Tyrion did that trick, not Varys
A Rod was/is excited because he was running the team!
The Jets are somehow dysfunctional with a HOF QB on the roster and a good head coach and good weapons, my question is how the hell does Rich Eisen watch them all year 😂
Good head coach? Wtf delete this
10:00 actually it was Tyrion Lannister but close enough
Sorry Perna, jets are bad but broncos are in a way worse position
But the Broncos will get out of it first. Every single team has issues. The Jets hurt themselves more than anything. Fan since 1994. Thirty years of this.
What goes well with the Jets? MAIL ORDER MEAT, THATS WHAT!!!
bro thinks we forgot about Denver
Why didnt you clean the shrimp vein 😢
Because, like any Broncos fan, he likes to eat shit.
Still giving props for such a diverse ad spot set, vs ALL GAMBLING ALL THE TIME
It's hard for me to explain how I went from being his biggest fan to so glad he's gone, in less than a year. He's not the same man, like something is wrong, after 16yrs here, not the same guy.
The mom joke was gold
In terms of wasted potential, yes. But any organisation with David Tepper in charge is doomed far more.
I'll give my honest opinion on the Jets, as a Jets fan:
Losing Aaron Rodgers really brought to light some of the bigger issues with the Jets
1. The coaching staff on the offensive side of the ball is horrendous
2. The offensive line is currently in shambles
3. We need a #2 receiver to take the pressure off of Garrett Wilson
4. The Jets assembled the worst QB room of all time behind Aaron Rodgers
1a. Will Aaron Rodgers mask some of the coaching deficincies on the offensive side of the ball? Absolutely......he won't fix everything tho. I'll take my chances with "pissed off, chip on your shoulders" Aaron Rodgers over Zach Wilson, the WORST QB in the NFL over the last 3 seasons
2a. First and foremost, can we get better injury luck on the OL this year?.......give me a healthy AVT at guard and Joe Tippman at Center who had a solid rookie year. Get a solid OT in free agency and in the draft and the OL can easily be average
3a. We don't even have to go too crazy at WR2 in my opinion.......a Calvin Ridley would be a nice cost-effective option. People shit on him but he had 1,000 yards and 8 touchdowns
4a. Get a proven backup QB just in case Aaron Rodgers misses a few games
I'm not super optimistic about the Jets post-Aaron Rodgers........but I can't look at this team and predict them to have a losing record next season if Aaron Rodgers actually stays healthy most of the season and they do everything else I mentioned
2020-2021 Green Bay's passing game coordinator was...Luke Getsy!!!!
Credit for the GoT insider-rat test belongs with *Turion rather than Varys. For sure. But def love the GoT analogy
