I'm making a 'free candy van' candy dish for my desk and to take to meetings. This chassis will just about perfectly fit my needs. I do wish there was a 2wd version, as I probably don't need 4wd.
I need to build one of these. My dad had a 1975 Dodge van that we would camping in. Lot's of fond memories of the whole family driving up to Yellowstone. I want to build a replica of that van. Thanks for this!
The rate at which you produce designs for all of these products at such high quality makes me feel a little inferior as a human and a lot inferior as a hobbyist.
@@AMPROEngineering The monster truck lunch box is cool and all but looks dumb at the same time, A street van would be wicked too. I want to get my hands on something like this again and think you did it!!! I had one when i was a kid so like 30+ years ago ruclips.net/video/TjWpockFF_o/видео.html
I love my lunchbox, now with your scale chassis from AMPro I’m going to build a mini one. Looking forward to more videos from you, great work and detail Thanks again
man... you made my rising fighter a weapon at the local short track with the trans mod and rear suspension mounts... now i'm like.... is this the lunchbox i've always wanted? yes..... but maybe in the winter when i have more moneys
I’m definitely going to do this to a pumpkin. I am at a bit of a disadvantage as I have never seen a lunch box or a pumpkin in real life. Are he two bodies the same width? Your wheels and these tires I think will look awesome on it.
Those added mounting points that you don't know what they are for. Could you use those to add body mounts so this could be adapted to a Pumpkin body, or other similarly sized lexan body?
Awesomesauce! Things are looking good there! BTW, did I happen to see magnet wire led wiring on the 36? If so, how did you like it? I, personally, fell in love with it while doing circuit board "rework" while working at Xerox.
@@AMPROEngineering lol, the wpl c36[?] - Land Cruiser. It looked as though some of the Lighting wiring was the thin enameled wire/magnet winding wire. Around the 3:54 mark
Now that's really clever! Scale Lunchbox.... Two words I thought I would never hear together!! 😳 THANKS Alberto, that just made my future list, and finally made those WPLs in their odd scale, a good option - IMO. Are those *1" Wheels??* I see lots of potential there! Carmine ✈🚂🚙
Jeeesh, stop man. I already have too many projects. Now I want to build this van. Already have ideas. My uncle had one back around 1975. It was black with a beautiful airbrush scene of a lady wearing a bikini and a shaw. (I know right, hey, it was the 70s). It had chrome SS cragers, which I wish someone would make in a 1.7size available for the retro look. It had a bed, bar, fridge, home stereo, and shag everywhere.
You should really stop altering vintage classics you are an incredible engineer and should develop your own rc. You wouldn’t have the limitations from flawed designs that you have to work around . I would be stoked to see what you would come up with.. awesome just awesome
Yeah I think I am done with a lot of that now. I have work to be done on the King Blackfoot but my next big thing is for the Hornet. No more stock gear case or chassis.
I didn't realize that you made them chassis. So I see the reason in u not drilling and tapping them parts if you're a one man show that would really be time-consuming
It would be nice whoever makes that plastic chassis clean the holes out for the consumer and they could probably charge a little more. U know that old saying? U get what u pay for. Lol
This really isnt worth it for shapeways as they are not aware of the design intent. Plus it is more like a model kit requiring the builder to be a part of the creation.

So awesome! I love hearing stories like this.
Lunchbox WPL style looks awesome, straight from a mini movie set, thank you for the inspiration and good humour, greatly appreciated 😁👍
I didnt think of that! haha!
Yes! now i can make my mystery machine! Thanks for another great video!
Man please send me pictures!
One A Team van, coming up. 😎👍🏻
LOL!

Haha, thanks man. I have a 1.5hr per day train ride so this is what I do when im sitting there.
Awesome work! I've got an A Team Van build ongoing with your lenses and a c24 chassis, thanks for enabling the rest of us!
You need to keep me posted on that build!
And where's the video?
I love the look of that build. Very cool! And scale
Thanks!
Brilliant work as ever. Thinking midnight pumpkin trail truck
That would be cool!
That is amazing can’t wait to build one
Thanks Mike. I love this thing.
I cant wait to build one That actually looks like a van!!!
I have wanted this since i first saw the lunchbox so i totally feel you!

👍 I love that van!!! Imagine it with the tracked chassis parts on it as a tracked van!
OH man....ahahha
@@AMPROEngineering I bet your thinking what I am thinking! LOL!!
kyosho made the heavy metal tracked van in the late 80s
Wow i'm going to get one, always wanted a scale lunchbox, superb job mate
Any time man. I also have always wanted one.
So dope how low can it go
I know, I am digging that.
Perfect video, lots of info.
Plans to make a mini lunchbox is on my list
Thank you! Sorry i couldnt get into more detail but these parts are hard to name and give part number to.

Thanx! This is exactly i was starting my self with a old hummer model. Was a bit stuck with some idea's. Subbed!
Glad you liked it!

Definitely a next project
It was a fun one for me!
Well, I have dove in deep and bought your whole set up---now just to find the sourced drivetrain bits.
Oh cool! Ebay was where I got it all.
So will those tires work with the wpl wheel? Or will it have to be your printed ones?
Nope, they are way smaller. You would need my wheels or adapt the RC4WD 1/18 scale ones.
Does this work with the 1/12 scale van body or is it smaller scale
I dont know of a WPL van but this chassis is designed for the Tamiya Lunchbox
Amazing build
Thank you! Interior set is close to completion.
have you tried to do it with wpl d12 frame?
No but I have plans for that.
This is epic. Great work (as usual).
Thank you Pablo!
Nice work. as usual you make great stuff
Thank you!
I’m definitely going to do this to a pumpkin. I am at a bit of a disadvantage as I have never seen a lunch box or a pumpkin in real life. Are he two bodies the same width? Your wheels and these tires I think will look awesome on it.
Weirdly no, the lunchbox is much narrower. In fact, I would venture a guess that they are different scales.
Those added mounting points that you don't know what they are for. Could you use those to add body mounts so this could be adapted to a Pumpkin body, or other similarly sized lexan body?
You totally could do that. I had not thought of that at all.
Impressive!!👍😎
Thanks, this was something I have wanted for decades.
I’d love to do a version with some 1.55 tires on it! A little upgrade without being ridiculous.
Oh absolutely. Bigger tires would be nice too and just make an offroad look van!
AMPRO Engineering I’ve been doing a little research to see how I can print a decal of an old 70s style van mural to put on the lunchbox
Someone actually left a marui big bear at my town dump "whatnot" shed. Good shape, any interest? Tires are bad of course
id b interested
No kidding!
Awesomesauce!

Thanks man. Yes, 1" wheels for sure. They are 1:18 RC4WD tires on my wheels.

haha! It was an awesome build and I run this a lot.
awesome! I've been waiting for this vid
Sure thing!
You selling the chassis already printed or only the files?
You can buy the printed chassis from Shapeways, or you can download the files from his mini factory and print the chassis at your own 3d printer.....
It's not available yet from shapeways already printed, I don't seem to find it on their page.
Correct, they will be soon. Links in the description coming.
They are posted!
Woah..... that's awesome!!!!
Thanks!
Brilliant!
Thank you my friend! Message me, I have stuff to send you!
Looks like depending on the chassis cost, shouldnt be too expensive to do this build. Might do this rather then stock lunchbox chassis.
Due to the size the chassis is pricey unless you do MMF if you have a large enough printer. The chassis is rock solid though.

Well shapeways prints the parts. They are only the printing service, not post production.
I like this
Thank you Chris!
@@AMPROEngineering no sir thank you I'm going to get this part and the lunch box for my tf2!
I love the idea. But $138. No thanks.
$11 on myminifactory but yeah, SLS printing is expensive. Still better than $4000 for a mold.
