The back zipper method reminded me of a James Galanos Vogue Americana pattern 1888 I made in 1968 using a heavy bottle green knit. The directions had you allow the end of the long zipper to hang down inside the dress. That is when I learned that couture designers achieved their looks/ends by any means possible.

Many of their secrets are so easy, but they really make a difference.
