Great review! I resisted buying Harmonies for a long while, waiting for the hype to slowly die out. I must admit the game is rather decent at what it does, shining at two players in a way Cascadia doesn't do. Yet in solo I found the game to fall a bit short. One thing I liked about playing Cascadia solo were the challenges (reach X points with Y coming from your foxes, and so on) which really drew me to bring the game over and over to the table for a great cozy experience. I also found Harmonies's art, while beautiful, to be less engaging than Cascadia's. As you pointed out, it's more abstract, and much less immersive to me. In the end, I decided to keep Cascadia only, but I do reckon Harmonies's qualities.
For me it became a total miss and I sold it on. All my usual gamers I played it with thought it was average. It’s funny cause I know it’s got a lot of love with other reviewers. It’s all good. It just never felt as much fun as Cascadia in all the playthroughs I did, solo or multi. Cascadia is also still in my collection!
O wow I was watching the video as I was making food and I though it was from a large channel. I went to comment that I personally adore the art style and I actually like the animals are handled, when I noticed that the channel only has 38 subs at the time of me watching. I'll be keeping an eye on the channel and if I like what I see I'll be subbing. I did like the production on the video too btw. Here is to hoping for large growth for your channel 😁😁
Thank you. Yeah art is always a personal opinion and like I say it doesn’t ruin the game for me at all. Thank you again. That’s very kind I’m trying to make decent quality vids!
