@@GODSWORD11 To be honest, there are very few cons with the Fat Bob. Maybe the two things I'd mention if I'm getting picky, the stock tyres are not great and sometimes in a sharp corner it wants to stand up a little but not in a big way. The other thing which is a personal preference I'd prefer the speedo on the handle bars as opposed to the tank. These are small things and can be fixed if you really want to. Butt just head to a dealership and test ride both, You'll soon see what you like

Maybe that's a difference between UK and USA riding, I had cruise control on my Goldwing back in 2000s but even then I only used it perhaps for about 10 miles a month. Meanwhile we're fitting the 131ci engine, heavy duty clutch, sundowner seat, pillion pegs and a few other cosmetic changes. Nice to see I'm not 'out of date' before I swing a leg over it. Not that that really matters, this bike is, for me, a 'lifer'.

@@jaredwehr1431 if you are going to put forward s on then it’s the probability buying the wrong bike as that setup negates the sporty capabilities ... I have a heritage OEM shock on mine and it raises the back of the bike maybe an inch...you steer the bike with your but cheeks as apposed to most other Harleys... it’s a great handling bike. Good informative video, a tad long but good. I think this bike would make an excellent platform for an updated FXDXT which was a real riders motorcycle for those that didn't want the heft a touring bike but still needed functionality. Also although the gauges look great on the tank mounting them behind the nacelle would really by much more functional and I think is one of the number one complaints of this bike. I also find it funny that this bike only has 30 degrees of cornering clearance meanwhile back in 2001 my FXDX had 34.5. The problem is what makes a good bike and a bike that sells are totally different. Since you seem really dedicated to the brand maybe you could pass some suggestions along to the higher ups. Thanks

Heres the truth! The low rider s is at that mid point bike that tries to be a do it all bike but has its flaws. Its not a tour bike for longer distance and its not an iron 1200 which is perfect for around town. My Yamaha raider was the same way. It was too heavy for around town and too uncomtable during longer trips. Like he said in the video if all you do is mainly city riding buy an iron 1200 like me, yes i can ride on the highway just fine but its not a tour bike. Matt as a Retired Harley Dealer GM and a HUGE Fan of Harley, have owned over a dozen in my 54 years of riding , i couldn't disagree more, Harley's to even be mildly Average for some DOES require Upgrades, As a Past owner of an FXE, FXR,FXLR, and 2 FXDC's they all needed minimum stage 1 upgrades and dyna's needed progressive shock and spring upgrades, and my wife like to ride with my if i was to buy the Low Rider S at $17000 i'd have to buy a seat, and passenger pegs to start, and the new Heritage softail OMG harley took away the Engine Guard and the sissybar that the bike came with for years, now you have to pay for them as an upgrade, i have long since thought harley should knock down the models to 4-5 and then offer options like the auto industry does with a base model, then a S model with a minimum of upgrades, then an SV with more options, and the SR with top of the line, and finally the CVO at the Custom model of the 4 or 5

Harley is going to put itself out of business soon! Everything should be water cooled with triple disc brakes! This rejection of technology is the final nail in Harley’s coffin! The idiots that want air cooled dinosaurs are literally dying off! So stop catering to morons! The new kids want performance for a good price. The Silly Sportster needs a skinnier front tire, a longer tail section and mid controls! Forward controls shouldn’t be on anything with the word Sport in it! The longer linkage equals more throw in the shift lever. Buy the way, the engineers that came up with that stupid brake light concoction must be proud of it as they keep using it!

I've had a Sporty for 6 months and I'm already looking at a Softtail. I love my Sporty but having more comfort, 6 gears, and something bigger would be nice. I can't decide on which Softail I like the best. Very tough decision.

The fat bob would look awesome in that red color 🖒 can't wait to see that color in person, still believe the s models should come with the 117... then the s has meaning...

On point, both of you. All legitimate reasons and another great overview on the Low Rider S. Love it! Coming from a sport bike that would be my choice for sure. If they would ONLY have it in Denim Black:) But, vivid black its good enough. Awesomeness

@@MattLaidlaw That sucks , the low Rider was a beautiful bike with all that chrome. The only thing I did not like was the AMF Graphics. Which I was hoping would have changed for 2021

Watching this video again two years later is crushing - I bought the midnight crimson FXLRS in March 2021 in part from this video and it was my dream bike. Now I'm stuck in Africa while my Low Rider S is stuck in the U.S. and can't be realistically shipped here to live. One day we will be reunited! ruclips.net/video/PjdNplVYiK8/видео.html

Sir I have taken exception to your remarks about the 88 twin cam. At the time the 88 was a big step up from the EVO power. Now with a stage one and a good aftermarket exhaust power improves just like all Harleys. If you go to a stage 2 with a good cam the 88 tc steps up power to a very respectful level. If you go to a big bore kit 95 the twin cam becomes a beast. It's short stroke makes rpms much quicker. It almost turns the 88 twin cam into a drag racer. I like the M8 but of all the twin cam motors I like the 88 best bang for the buck.

I paid 10,400 odd for a z900rs cafe in July I don't see what you're paying for here for almost 19000 and this is the "performance" model? I don't see anything close to the kawi even looks the z900rs is the best looking bike on the market

Regarding all the negative talk about the 'death of the Dyna' etc, if H-D had just said that both the 'old' Softail and Dynas had been replaced with a new mono shock chassis to compliment the new four valve per head engines in their bikes then the negative comments may well have just not happened. How many comments do you hear about the old softails being better ? - none because it is a different bike.
Don't get me wrong, I ride a Dyna and it has it's faults, engine mounts etc but those faults were there from the first Dynas - the Evo's and before that people said the rubber mounts on FXR's were bad news.... but Shovels had rubber mount FXR frames as well, so if you follow all that way of thinking, anything other than a side valve engined rigid frame bike is sacrilege - Yeah right, see how far riding one of those bikes will get you in this day and age !

I don`t like the bulgy plastic shit on the tank. And the stock tires. And the very close foot pegs. Why the fuck would you put the foot pegs this close to the seat, on a bike which is supposedly a premium cruiser, where even short guys get 90° knee angle, or worse. "Indian chief bobber dark horse" does everything better than the low rider s. For the same price.

Like your vids and discussions guys, but probably need to unsubscribe... You constantly put that other guy's life in danger because instead of concentrating on riding and keep awareness over his surroundings, he rides with 1 hand and constantly do not look on the road in front of him instead looking at what he films? Madness and bad example. If you ride, ride, otherwise, please get a pillion passenger and let him/her concentrate on taking video?

So isn’t it cheaper to get the low rider s and putting bags and a new fairing on for touring rather than buying the road glide? The customization on the low rider is endless. I love the road glide but the LRS seems more agile and performance based.

Yeah buddy, get it in! Those new Softy Lows are the business and being an 02 Night Train owner it's so refreshing to hear that the new ST frame is the best handling frame to date after 20 plus years of Dyna Bros rubbing it in haha. Also, I feel bad for the hater's, they have know idea what they're missing, including a rich history and long standing community brought together by the most beautiful bike in the world, Mr. Harley Davidson. Great video Matt.
