I appreciate mistakes being shown and spoken of, as well as how to fix them. Like you said, so many people only show polished results, and so people get discouraged. I haven't done block printing in many years, but now I do want to give it a shot with cheap erasers!
These would be cute enlarged as bookmarks!
I was thinking how cute it would be to have bookmarks hand-stamped with several of these designs on it.
Or gift tags!
Thank you for making personalized stamps so accessible!
YOU GOT 48 ERASERS??? 😮 that checked design would be perfect to add to a sketchbook spread, like you would with washi tape to decorate 🥰
That would be perfect for a sketchbook spread!! Now I might have to try this today!! Thanks for the idea 😁💜
I love watching you carve eraser stamps! you inspired me to start myself ❤❤
Ohhh really?! That makes me happy to hear you started doing it too! What kind of art do you carve into them? :D
@@MiraByler I love carving animals and food items!
Omg, im in love with the yellow checkered and the "hi" stamp combination 😮
Block carving can be dangerous. For instance if you’re an idiot who does it with the block balanced on their lap. 🤔 I wonder if I know anyone who’s done that …….😂😂
Lol I just did that yesterday....shh don't tell anyone I was being dumb 😅
@@Sparklove1 😂😂 glad I’m not alone!
@@bluecobaltsteph2689 🤣🤣🤣 nope!
Was that u by any chance?
@@sarahwells8978 🤔 🤔🤔
I learned block printing in a print shop class in high school in 1970! I still have that block! I've been crafting my whole life. My current interest is bookbinding and creating junk journals. I also enjoy creating collage papers and mark making. I'll have to drag out my carving tools and grab some erasers. Thanks for the fun video. You reminded me how much fun carving is! Hi from sunny Connecticut.⚘️🦀⚘️
Hi Mira! These turned out so cute! I love the cat, with and without the face carved into it! Thank you for creating another video like this... I have loved the others where you carved stamps either into erasers or with the regular lino cutting supplies!
This is something that wasn’t even on my radar but now I want to get together with my girlfriends and make stamps for Christmas cards. This is such a great idea.
That sounds like such a fun way to hang out! I might just ask my friends to do the same!
I'm always surprised at how cute some people's art is. Even those who think they "can't draw" make charming cartoons.
Fun! But watch your fingers. Always keep your fingers behind the cutting tool❤️
Hi Mira thank you, I've not done stamping in years. Though I'm not starting now, I have too many hobbies as it is. I'm currently working on a sketch book with Sea Slugs in & then a variety of Sea Leaf Dragons , Sea Horses & Turtle just finished a bioluminescence snail. It's not as transparent though but it'll do, then 2 fishes & a Jelly fish. Though when it comes to it I'm chicken with doing Jelly Fishes, I have only tried once & it was spectacularly Crap but I'm going to try again. I've got 2 Christmas Gifts left to do & I have the entire Summer for my Fall Felt Mugs & my pebble snowmen & Bead Snowmen. Though today I have found my plastic Christmas baubles that I bought with my Birthday Money, at least I can now say I have enough Christmas Crafts for a Few Years ahead. Not to forget the Wooden Owls, Nutcrackers, baubles & 2 onion shaped Baubles & Christmas Santa & Elf Cross-stitching to do that are cone shaped , oh & 20 of my own Christmas Cross Stitching to do. Let alone what else I have forgot to mention. 😊😁😂😂🤣🤣😭😭
I love this idea. They are adorable! The cat is so cute but my favorite is the green flower with pink checkerboard. I'd like to see more.
You really do have to focus so you don't cut the wrong pieces out! Good mental practice 😄 I appreciate that you left in the mistake. It's a good reminder that we all make mistakes during the process and not to give up or be too hard on yourself.
My art teacher should have gotten us erasers to carve...then maybe there would be a few stamps created within the whole class...my teacher decided to introduce linoleum carving to us, and made us get a block of pretty expensive lino about A6 size each. Most of my classmates gave up within 10 mins of trying, but i was truly interested, even staying back after school to carve. Until I had a slip of the hand and gave myself a decent cut on a finger.
I was 11 and I still remember how I had soaked through all the tissues I had on me despite applying pressure, and dripped blood all the way to the toilet to wash the wound and get more paper to press against the wound. I was pretty impressed I managed to handle all of it without panicking, asking for help or passing out. Fast forward more than a decade - became a doctor, not an artist. Totally makes sense now 😂
Your erasers are so cool, well done 😊maybe try taking the stamp to the ink pad and do lots of light tapping, can help with ink coverage xx
These came out really pretty. I liked the background with another stamp over it. I would love to see more videos. I liked the inn pads, but it would be fun to mix it up with mixed media again.
I really like these videos you should make some more often❤
Glad you enjoy these kinds of videos! I will definitely try to make them more!
Love your videos. Thank you for beeing you. You are my inspiration ❤
Aw, thank you! 💜 Glad you enjoy the art videos!
And if you make a mistake, you can just erase...err wait...ummm.
These were great! My favourite 2 are the green flower with the pink check and the Hi with the yellow check
Such a great idea 😊
What you said about wanting to try something out before committing to spending a lot on a hobby you may not enjoy is probably the main reason I love subscription boxes like Scrawlrbox and Artful (Artful actually has a lino printing box, I think you can still buy on their website.
Wow, she is carving directly towards he fingers!
These stamps are a great idea! My favorite one is the flower. 🌼
Your editing was especially fun in this video 😊 And I think the flower and cat stamps have to be my favorites
Please do more cute cat art!!! I love all your drawings can you do a doodle day?❤
So cute! Love the idea to do the checkerboard background to add a second color!
I *love* doing this.
I usually use the white erasers, and sometimes make multi-eraser pieces. (Good for cardmaking.) I've also made mini sketchbooks to hold a bunch of different prints so I can give them out.
I think creating your own stamps and pads is a great idea!
Now, I want to do some more Lino cutting, I have all the tools. Thx for the inspo In my craft store in my area (Belgium) , there are some small flexible Lino squares for less than 2 EUR per piece.
Hi! from JAPAN. cat stanp is my favorite one. your cat stanp remind me my cat past away 10years ago.thanks wonderful video😊
You can kneading the shavings together to make putty or a kneaded eraser, sometimes you have to rub them over masking tape to make them just sticky enough to blend together.
What a great idea! I think I might try this. I'll need to use larger erasers because I don't see as good as I used to, but that's ok! Thanks for the video.
Omgggg Mira! I’ve been wanting to do this too. What a cheap way to try it out!! Thank you 🙏🏼 😊
Oh my goodness I just ordered stuff to do this yesterday! ❤❤ watching with my full attention
This looks so fun 😄 I’ve seen that my local art store has the supplies I would need for this, maybe I have to try it sometime. I love how the flower turned out, it looks really good both alone and with the checkered pattern 😄💖 you should definitely do this again in the future!
I just started Linocut… I am in love with the process ❤
OMG that cat is so cute ❤ I love Lino cutting but so small is nothing for me. With arthritis in my wrist/hand it is also impossible. I would have head less cats 😂
Haha, head-less cats doesn't sound fun! That is totally understandable that it would be hard to carve such a small surface. Do you do a lot of lino cutting on larger surfaces? If so, that's really cool!!
Fantastic love the cat best
I mean this as a compliment so please don't take offense: this video gives off Rainbow Sponge Lady vibes ❤❤❤ all your gasps and reactions, I loved it so much!
My favorite was the pink checker with flower on top 💕
I do not know who that is, but thank you lol! 💜
This is a fantastic idea, I will try this out, thank you!!
Oh those checkers made them so good!!!! ❤
I LOVE these vids
So glad you like them!!
I have the stuff to make them but when I make them I never use them
I love these eraser stamp videos they are equally satisfying to watch!! Always love your styles of creativity !!❤❤
It eas so much fun. I have it all. Just afraid to give it a try. Definitely, now I will. Thank you for being such an inspiration 💛 💗 💖
In elementary school I used to carve pencils and erasers with paper clips. It kept me from going insane from undiagnosed ADHD. It kept my hands busy so I wouldn't chew on my fingers and nails as much. I guess I was like a puppy?
I'm so glad that there are better tools now, but I would spend hours in school carving flowers into pencils and erasers. Never thought to use them as stamps, I just had pretty erasers.
Thanks for sharing. xoxo
Very cute aRt❤
You should take your eraser shavings and make something cool out of them, like a mixed media picture!! Then nothing would be wasted!! 💕💕
This was so cool and so satisfying to watch! You should also use the eraser shavings for another art project (if you haven't already thrown them away lol). I also really enjoyed the music in the background! You should do more videos like this!
Really wish the Pink Pearls came in larger sizes just for this. The company knows we do this with them. They are missing out on a market. :-) Also, try inking the stamp instead of pressing the stamp into the pad. Sometimes that works better depending on the stamp pad. One last thing, a brayer over the back of the eraser can sometimes give you a smoother print. (I want to get these and make an alphabet set!)
in school we used to trace our drawings on top of styrofoam with pencils and it would create a stamp that was pretty cool.
We did this in college, carving tessellations! And I STILL HAVE MINE, after more than 20 yrs!!
This is magic=3 Your stamps are so-so cute=3 Have a wonderful week=3
These are my favorite erasers.
I like the hi! 👋 And the flower!! 🌻
What if you "print" the flower on two other erasers. Then you could carve away so you have the flower & the stems separate for infinite color mixing! You could even have several different flowers and stem designs! Mix and match as you want both with colors and designs?
That’s a cool idea!
@@MiraByler I'm so glad you liked my idea! Also I love your content! ❤️❤️❤️ Can't wait to put up my latest art haul from you on my walls in my sewing studio! *Excited* 😁 all the water art! 😍
Try making kneaded erasers with the eraser leftovers
Definitely…more, more, more! ❤
7:12, Yes that tool is a clay tool it can be used for anything, And I think it's awesome you're using tools from different sets and different things but you have to be really careful because that glue does not stick very well I have 1 of those and I have the clay that goes with it and the spike fell off on my bed and then I could not find it. Please be safe
I loved them all! ❤❤❤
💙💙
Cute! I look forward to you doing the other 45 erasers =P
cool. 😎👍
I was waiting for you to restamp the checkerboard and move it one square for a two tone checkered look
I wanna tryyyy it looks so cool😢😢😢😢😢😢😮😮
Could u use the eraser shavings to make a kneaded eraser?
She made something out of an eraser nicely done byler. 😊🎨
very cute!!
I've done this before its lots of fun : )
Like the idea. But i was wondering how you clean the erasers?
Baby wipes.
I tried this the last time you did it. I still have some erasers I might do more too! ❤ cute designs
Thank you! So glad to hear you tried this last time I did a video on them!!
I did this once in art club in middle school. We made our own stamps on linocuts when emojis were becoming a real big thing.
We made emoji stamps and I chose the purple devil, but I misunderstood, that when she said to draw two pictures, she meant two of the same emoji.
I chose both the devil emojis instead of just doing two of the one devil emoji😅
I love this Mira!!!
Sometimes it takes 2 ink Adding because it can kind of need priming
Could you use anything else for the carving part
I did this at school with my scissors and fingernails
Lol
I didn’t want this video to end! I stole this idea last Christmas and made Joy and simple holiday tree stamps…and yes, also used the stamps to make my own wrapping paper from old packing paper.
I’m a copycat😻
I used to do this in art college.
Make a video of waste of erasers making them to a erazer with a mode
I’ve had these same ink pads for about a year and they’re still very juicy
I kind of want to make one for each letter of the alphabet so they could be used to make words.
That is a brilliant idea!
What do you use to clean the erasers? Alcohol? ^^
I haven't actually cleaned them yet, LOL. I've been so lazy. But I have done this a few times in the past, and Dawn Powerwash or just regular Dawn dishsoap works AMAZINGLY!!
@@MiraByler Hihi, I'm just as lazy cleaning my art supplies too 😂 Thank you, amazing video and art. I'll subscribe! ❤
WAIT did you just say eight is enough that a that’s a old title from a tv series from the 80 that me and my grandma love watching 😂
The seconed one slederman cat
Not in a rude way😊
Cute. May Jesus continue to bless you and your family
oHIo
So you listen to anything when you're making art?
Not if I’m filming something where I’m talking live. But if I’m just creating, usually an audiobook or I’ll have a show on in the background.
def cheaper carving up erasers, well sort of lol i would prob spend a small fortune on band aids😝
lol, totally understandable!
wow what's next is she going to make a bird nest or something? by the way I draw a nice picture of her. 😄😄
навіщо вона нам?
This is not the right eraser for block carving. There are white vanilla fones just for that.
Uhm, that’s why she used it? Pay attention next time she said it in the beginning. Stop hating people before you even watch the video.
I find this so satisfying and soothing. I really appreciate and enjoy your content. You are such a beautiful soul. I hope you are enjoying your summer and your fam! P.S. You also inspired me to plant strawberries this year! They are so lovely. Fruit AND flowers! @mirabyler 🍓 🌼
So glad you enjoy this! Also makes me so happy you planted strawberries!! They are so fun!! 🤩
Hi! I love these ideas! Thx for showing the cheapy way of doing it!! Since I retired this year, my craft room has exploded!! 😂. And to @bluecobaltsteph2689, thx for the tip!!😛😂
I loved this…. Gives me tons of ideas🩷
