I have a 2yr old model which I love, but the newer unit has features that I wish that I had. For example the thermo control knob and the newer controls. It is a great tub.
i would have left the door on the left, installed more straps on the pex-it will rattle as it is. Notice how few jets are on this tub. Watch out for the thermostatic mixing valves. They restrict water flow, and the complicated mechanism needs a technician to service. They get clogged by hard water, galvanized pipes, and iron. The skirt needs access panels. This unit requires a process including re-caulking to get access to the mechanics. Watch out for gel coats on fiberglass. Gel coat is brittle and proan to spider cracking and chips...repairs require a professional. I wish this unit had hip jets and bidet jets. These jets add major value. The half-inch supply lines and single 1.5" drain will not be setting any record fill or drain times, notice they did not show or talk about either of these. I love reviewing tubs, I hope this helps!! Late to the game here but how do you replace the hose to the handheld shower head if you get a tear in the hose, not where it connects to the shower head but in the actual hose.
