STUNNING SUNRISE landings at Zurich Airport

- 05:50 AM local time at Zurich Airport. The airport is still closed as I set up my equipment on the new spotting hill at the west side of the airport. It's almost silent, only a few cars and singing birds are hearable. Then I hear the sound of an aircraft. As I look up I see an Edelweiss Air A340-300 overhead, inbound from Cape Town. It's supposed to be the first aircraft movement of this sunny Saturday. On the right hand downwind of RWY 34 I notice another aircraft. The silhouette looks like a B777-300ER. It will be the second airplane to land this morning. The airport opens its doors daily at 06:00 AM, and at 06:01 the Edelweiss A340-300 is cleared to land on RWY 34.
The early morning is one of my favorite day times to do plane spotting. It's a very unique ambience to experience an airport waking up, and the traffic is quite nice as well as a lot of heavy aircraft are inbound during these hours. Everything together doesn't hold me off to get up at 04:30 AM to capture these airplanes touching down right in front of me. And if you get a beautiful sunrise on top of it, it's even more exciting. I hope you enjoy this compilation :)

Unbedingt, gerade im Frühling ist es super, Sonnenaufgang und klare Luft, dadurch ein herrliches Bergpanorama.
Das geilste ist, dass die flugzeuge über meinem balkon fliegen. Im sommer einfach der hammer!

Evertything is perfect about this video, top notch work! The info and lovely description was a nice touch. I definitely must try the new spotting hill while im in ZRH. Finally able to catch the first arrivals of the day proprerly before they switch to rwy 14 ;)

Zurich is a small airport and easy to get around.

It’s “Delta Air Lines” not “Delta Airlines”
oops, didn't know that.. thanks for the input. Similar like Swiss Air Lines before they changed to Swissair in the 60ies. Looks like Delta has kept this classic spelling.
