im interested on doing this on my own, but i did hear you clearly what you said, the thing that need to go 3times?and the fan is full blast and to full heat as well?
What If my car never reaches operating temp and my over flow reservoir is spilling out fluid due to being full. Radiator is kind of low everytime I check after driving.
Fans never kick on but I don’t over heat.
I’m in a 2008 civic si Fully stock just upgraded radiator and mishimoto thermostat
I don’t see coolant in my oil or oil in my coolant. Head gasket leak ?
Could be head gasket but that’s last thing u wanna rule out did u change thermostat? It could be stuck open if it’s not reaching operational temp
This sucks, change the title. There is no flush just empty and refill.
This is not flush? This is just empty and refill
There’s more coolant trapped by the thermostat You either disconnect the hose to the water pump or put step coolant change
Sam Mehrez we do working accordingly to labor if customer decides it’s their call also if we do labor to remove thermostat housing it would be recommended to replace the thermostat but this is good comment. It will let every one know the further work that can be done to make 100% flush. Please subscribe
he didn't touch the reservouir? or did i miss something?
and how about the coolant reservoir?did you fill it up after?how long do you have to run the engine?
It was empty at end I can fill it up run the engine for 10-15 minutes wait till the fans come on two time that will cycle the coolant and open the thermostat fully
@@RBTheMechanic thank you so much.
More faster , thanks bud
do you turn the heat on while bleeding the air?
Yes turn the heat on that way it circulates through heater core
@@RBTheMechanic hey is there another coolant you can recommend for a ‘17 Civic? The dealerships here are closed on Sundays (alotta times the only time I can work on my cars). How about the Peak blue coolant for Asian vehicles? It is rated for the Honda standard, and also the ASTM D3306 standard - same as the Honda coolant. But for how particular Honda is about their specialized fluids, would this Peak be a good alternative?
@@carlovanrijk4039 yeah peak is my choice and if I can find it in blue go for it
@@RBTheMechanic thanks!
