I agree. Most of these character swaps I was so-so about. Thinking that if it ever happened I would be saying to myself, yeah but they're not as good as "insert the classic character actor's name". When I saw Alfred Bester pop-up I was thinking Walter Koenig turned basically a one-time "special guest-star" role into a kick-ass reoccurring character and no one is going to come close. You said it simply - Burn Gorman would be PERFECT for that role. I would not even blink if he was portraying the Bester character.

Would it be a complete reimagining with them or sticking to the same styles, e.g. human ships are bricks with guns and an engine cluster at the back (they better not alter the Starfury, though), Minbari ships are blue crystalline fish, Centauri ships are opulent cutlasses and footwear, Narn ships are basically bifurcated daggers, Vorlon ships are mottled industrial tentacled crustaceans, and Shadow ships are spiders made of undulating black liquid flesh.
Love the suggestion for Vir. I was thinking a shaven Jack Black, even if his age is wrong. But you nailed it. My only issue with your choices is that it can never happen. The costs would be extreme. Too many "brand" names.
I think Koenig was better at being Bester than he was at being Chekov, and I don't say that to take anything away from Chekov either... he was awesome as well.
For me it really depends on each character. Garibaldi's looks don't really matter for me but his personality and story arc are what matters. Vir's looks and personality are what makes Vir him.

I found how Walter played Bester perfect, his eyes even his mannerisms showed it, everything was Arrogant Disdain. Walter was Bester, but Benedict Cumberbatch.
There are B5 books that cover events after the series that could be made into its own series. Other events eluded to during the show but never shown 'the incident with John and Delenns son etc.
Ardwright Chamberlain was not one person. It was a name made up for the two actors who played Kosh. One was in the suit and the other did the voice. I think both are still around.
Funny thing about the David Colwin (?) character was that His character was a Studio Mandate that the Show have a Pilot Character....cause Its a Space Show... JMS was not happy with it but did it, and managed to give a character he didn't want to do a Good Arc and cool death.

The character that Joe didn't want was Warren Keffer, not David Cowin. Corwin lasted the full run of the show, whereas Keffer was killed off after 1 season.
You are confusing David Corwin with the pilot character that got killed at the end of Season 2, Warren Keffer. Lt. Keffer was the mandated pilot hotshot character that JMS killed at the first chance he could get away. Corwin was initally only credited at Technician #2 before his role got a name and was expanded a bit.
There doesn't need to be a Talia Winters at all, the only reason this character exists is because the actress who played Lyta Alexander got another job offer between the filming of the pilot, and season 1. She's one of MJS's "trap door" characters, much like Sheridan replaced Sinclair when O'Hare started thinking the CIA was talking to him through the newspaper. If you want to see what the show would look like with the real story on Sinclair, Then you have to not pull that trap door switch, and if you're going to do that for one character, you should do it for all of them. Just make sure to sign everyone to a 5 season contract.
You just made the only point I would subscribe to ANY streaming service: a short-story type continue of B5. Anything else, including a reboot, no (ok, I already made one exception and was for The Expanse)
Some choices were probable but some were way out there and didnt fit. There's no way Levitt would play a secondary character like Lennier and I just dont find he fits the role same for Talias choice.
One character you didn't include was Talon, Talon was a minor character that kept returning throughout the entire series. Finding someone to play Talon; you'll need someone trained in either law enforcement or military training. Quite the tall order. Another character that would need to be brought in would be Zack Allen; for Zack you need someone who was much like Vir, he starts out being rather innocent but as time goes on he matures into a thoughtful leader, the actor for Zack is going to be controversial I would say that Brenden Foster would be a great choice. He's done comedic roles and has also done serious acting. He's controversial only because he's been blacklisted by most major studios. But, that makes Brenden to be the perfect choice, he's work hard and be happy to be working as serious actor again. Another, minor character who grew into a major character arc was Marcus Cole, you would need someone with major acting chops; someone who can do Shakespearean work but also someone who can improvise with a dry English wit. But also someone who could fight quite convincingly if the need arose. This choice is difficult for me but I think someone who could do Marcus Cole justice is Alec Newman. Alec is a serious actor; he did the Dune reboots and did both dramatic roles but proved he could fight if that's what was required. He's another controversial choice because with his previous role as Paul in Dune and Children of Dune. Most people can only see him playing one role. Alec has gone on to do British films and could bring in more of an international personality to the Babylon 5. Those are choices I'd like to be considered.
Thisbiggest issue in this is that the majority of the original actors had played roles like that. They grew into their roles. Also, sorry to burst your bubble, but no one ever saw JMS' true vision of B5. He used quite a few trap doors and so, hopefully, the reboot will provide that.
I'm lukewarm about most of your choices here - but a couple really shine. When you suggested Cara Gee for Na'Toth, I didn't think you'd be able to come up with a better actor for any other character. Then you said Burn Gorman as Bester and of all your choices for all the different roles, this one could not be more perfect!
Ohhh, so many interesting choices. Babylon 4 story is very interesting, but it wiil be hard to watch the show without human characters. Maybe they can write the story like somebody was left on the station accidentally.

So basically you continued the insanity from the first video. This cast would never be assembled. You would be spending all of your budget on actors. This group would be impossible for even a B5 movie.

Doing a continuation of the characters after they left Babylon 5 with the same actors would be impossible since many are dead.

Chekhov was an ascended extra, basically TNG era O'Brien. Then again everyone but Kirk, Spock and McCoy were on that level.
Your reboot is faithful but seems stifling. I'd prefer mixing up the looks and personnel and focusing on the character traits more than the looks.

Characters do not need to look the same or even be the same sex for many characters. Some of these characters never had enough lines to matter.
