the people protecting these beautiful animals are HEROES
Their eyes are very human-like.
Yes! I thought that they looked like robots at first lol. Very beautiful creatures
Sumatran rhino and Sumatran elephant are both hairy
@@Randomname235 And humans are not?
@@Randomname235 Because they're actually the closest relatives of the woolly elephant and woolly rhinoceros. Woolly rhinos and woolly rhinoceroses evolved into Sumatran rhinoceroses and elephants.
Interesting. It makes me feel as if they are humans in the afterlife
In 1905, there were only 75 Greater one horned rhinos left in the world. At that time, the Sumatran Rhinos numbered a few thousands, even found all the way from NorthEast India, Myanmar into Malaysia and Sumatra. Today, after a century of conservation, Greater one horned rhinos have recovered to 4000 individuals while the Sumatran and Javan rhinos are on the edge of extinction. It's a sad reality.
Yes but that means that just as the Indian rhino was saved the Javan and Sumatran rhinos also can be saved. The Javan is actually increasing in numbers.
Which rhino was most in Laos
It's no longer true the Javan rhinoceros is increasing in numbers. I just read an update on Sumatran and javan rhino populations by Margaret Kinnaird, an internationally noted wildlife authority.
Recent reports indicate the Javan rhinoceros has completely disappeared from parts of its range within Ujung Kulon NP and its numbers are now lower than in decades. That is, if it's population had been reportedly accurate, which has been called into question.
The Indonesian govt in recent yrs has deprioritized conservation and the rhinos and other species of wildlife have now apparently been written off by the Indonesian govt. The sumatran rhino has not been seen in Southern Barisan Mtns in at least a decade and is believed to be extinct there.
There are no new conservation priorities coming out of Jakarta. Everything is infrastructure growth and escalating deforestation to make room for oil palms. The Aceh govt is making plans to eliminate Gunung Leuser NP. That's Indonesia today.
And people thought panda is endangered and hard to breed.
Sumatran rhinos: "Hold my beer"
All joke aside, ngebreed mereka emang susah soalnya mereka masih suka pilih-pilih pasangan & ngga mau langsung kawin :(
Weh bubu ka nmn hahaha
@@taengfever ngebreed? Oke
Khalisya Anjani what?
Khalisya Anjani not the place for that.
We must save and protect this animal for the children of tomorrow
Her name is "Ratu" which means "Queen"
Yes it's Indonesian language.
This smallest Rhino is the only closest living relative of the now extinct Coelodonta species or the Woolly Rhino. It's a living history right there so it must be protected at all costs
That´s exactly what I thought. People think of recreating the mammoth (which is almost inpossible) when we still have those ancient rhinoceros left. We should do all efforts helping them.
@@tosche774 We likely WILL eventually resurrect the mammoth. All in good time. We can still better the world again.
@@CoreyMillionaire2029 It'd be nice to see a mammoth but fr, we should be trying to preserve the wild life we have now instead of "ignore" them and try to resurrect a long dead animal.
Hmmmmmm.
@@kinggecko503 Hopefully we can do both! Mammoth's played an important role arctic ecosystems, so bringing them back might well help other species that are still with us
We need to protect these beautiful creatures ❤️
Sumatran Rhinos are ICONS.
Must be saved.
PERIOD.❤
*We must protect the rhinos at all costs*
i think the Rhinos think quite the opposite when they see us human beings lol
I agree! We need to hire guys to protect them like they do in Africa.
So no rhino steaks?
why?
Yes, even if it wipes out every other species!
Few years ago we lost the last Rhino in "White Rhino" pieces. We should not loose this too
I think theirs still two female White Rhinos left
White Rhinos are "fine". Of all 5 species of rhinos, the White Rhinos are the least threatened species. There is 20 thousand white rhino in southren Africa
@@CalladoBrothers sadly only two northern white rhinos are left and both are female
@@JustaDislikeButton
Well if thats true , why don't they make them pregnant? Its not that hard to fertilise them and the species could be saved.
@@JustaDislikeButton Yes, I know. I was just saying like that because people talk like the White Rhino species is extinct, and that's not the case at all. The northern rhino is only a subspecies. Of course, the fact that they are functionally extinct is extremely sad and a loss to wildlife
The 2019 report said, the number of the Rhinos currently is 72 (based on camera trap). It increase 4 from the last year and it's the highest number since the last 2 decade, which is a really good news, ofcourse we hope the number keep increasing for the future
Unrestrained greed in an individual can lead to callousness, arrogance, and even megalomania. A person dominated by greed will often ignore the harm their actions can cause others..
Well said.
Yup....most people have some negatives about their personality....some have few positives
@Frost Rusher We will all die one way or another. Knowing that, most people don't care enough about the world.
Reminds us of Ebenezer Scrooge.
@Frost Rusher you first tho
OMG they are soooo cute. We must protect them at all costs. They deserve to thrive. It’s unfair humans capture their habitat areas
They are very adorable and innocent. Poor animals 💕🦏
The babies are too cute. Thank you for helping this special species of Rhino 🦏❤️
This is so sad for humanity .
Humanity is the reason of extinction of almost every species.
Well put Aman
@@Rafayel06 How are we the cause. 99% percents of all extentions were not cause by humans. Your statement is very vague also humans are a very successful species. Animals just need to adapt to be honest. If you can't survive or adapt you will die off. That's is just cycle of life. I know I sound heartless, but it's the truth. Don't know why I am telling you this. Your just some arrogant person who preaches stuff they think is correct, but won't actually do the stuff they preach.
@@Shruikan1696 thank you for seeing my point. Since I wasen't adapted the superior specie came out on top.

@@DBT1007 You hit the nail on the head, I'm afraid. Last month in Bali the only wild birds I saw were kept solitary in small cages. And on Indonesian television I never saw anything of educational or real journalistic content. Just superficial entertainment only. Keeping the masses uninformed so the rich can continue to profit from them seems to be daily reality.
HOW WONDERFUL TO SEE THIS EVERY SINGLE ONE COUNTS ! GOD BLESS YOU FOR SAVING THEM.
Wow that's one of the most beautiful creatures i have seen🥺🥺☹️
I smile to see these two baby rhinos.
This is great. People did this and with some effort people can undo this! I love it
They are the closest relatives of the woolly rhinoceros. Conserving them also means we can bring back their woolly cousin
Hey that's tru!
im phenomenal
Let’s save what we got first...
Don’t put the cart before the proverbial horse.
Just how do you propose to bring back the Woolly Rhino?
@@andrewzepf7510 cloning
@ im phenomenal - Assuming we have decent DNA material from a woolly rhino. Another problem might be that the woolly rhino was somewhat bigger than Sumatran rhino - would a female Sumatran be able to carry to term a woolly rhino fetus?! They're better off trying it on similar size animals first - using elephants for cloning and bringing to term a mammoth.
Stop buying rhino horn people

Only a video like this can have me in tears of sorrow and at the end joy, I'm glad there's hope 😊💖
Omg, I didn't know there were forest rhinos!! 😍😍
Wonderful programme. Great hope. I wish these efforts will pay in the future for a steady population but the deforestation 'll never stop.
Goodluck for the team... Your work is awesome....
As humans it our responsibility to protect every single animal out there. Let’s not let them down
No it's not, if they can't adapt they will die out. Same as us humans and any other species in the next millions of years
@Conan R maybe he means to the new environtment when human civilization grew more and more occupying more of their habitats.
@@odra873,
Due to human greedness we are changing (destroying) the enviroment on a rate that mostly animals can't adapt. All organism need time to adapt. So as we are responsable for these distructive change, we humans are also responsible to take the right actions to protect our World.
Yes, the World enviroment change by itself, but we humans are accelarating this change. That is the problem.

STOP KILLING ANIMALS UNNECESSARILY GOSH DARNIT :(
Are you vegan?
@@VixenAurora Talking about rhinos not cows.
keno nggo lawuh
@@VixenAurora This is an issue of killing critically endangered animals, which is particularly egregious due to their severe threat of extinction. Of course the animal agriculture industry is a huge part of why animals are going extinct though. Another main issue is overpopulation. Why does there need to be 7.5 billion human beings? Why does every dipshit feel like they need to have 4 children?
I never new that kind of rhinos existed until now wow where have i been
Adorable creatures 🤗
This might make me cry
