I dont mean to be so off topic but does anyone know of a method to get back into an instagram account..? I stupidly forgot my password. I appreciate any help you can give me!
@Austin Edgar Thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im in the hacking process now. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
I've watched hours of youtube vocal production tutorials over the years, and not one of them has told me about setting your milliseconds on your reverb to match your bpm using the equation and using the predelay. Tried it on some vocals right after watching this video and it absolutely changed my vocals. THANK YOU.
Try that: 7500/bpm = pre delay of reverb to sit in your mix. you can also divid the result by 2 if its too much. Add a eq BEFORE the reverb with: low cut: 600hz / hi cut 10k (known as the abbey road trick) and there you go. Source: Bobby Owsinsky
Your explanation was a bomb drop for me. Reducing high and low EQ is a game changer. I did this going the long way around but I’m now going to use EQ settings with the reverb plug-in itself. A BIG thanks
OKAY WHATTT!!!!!! MAAM, THIS IS AMAZING!!! i usually just tool around like a doofus with reverb settings...fiddling into it just "sounds good" - i followed your instruction, albeit painfully, because I have some serious ADD, but it was so worth it!! thank you!
I bought your waves, and stock Logic presets. They definitely make you sound amazing! I hope the waves platinum bundle has all the plugins in your chain, because that’s what I have.
I'm just getting into producing and your channel is amazing, I will definitely watch more from you, you explain things very well and focus on one thing at a time rather than giving too much information! x
Awesome. Now I know why my vocals always sound echoey or not enough echo. It's the millisecond formula no one teaches when during tutorials on reverb and delay as well. Thank you so much for the gems...you are awesome. Stay safe stay well.
Excellent explanation of Reverb. I just got an Apple Studio iMac. I had no idea that an Apple computer was so much more than the price, and Logic should be the industry standard. I like it so much more than Pro Tools.
Ive got a really new 80's sound mixed with newer tech sound and little pop and funk mix......you just helped make my music...sound alot more up to date....really appreciate you
Great ear Valentina! Congratulations. I am not interested in ultraprocessed voices, but I enjoyed a lot this reverb master class! Thanks from Barcelona
You make very good vids to explain how things are done. I setup my reverbs similar to you, but I did not know the 60000 trick. So now I will incorporate that it my workflow, thanks.
All great points, thanks for sharing. Learning more all the time. Two easy tricks you could add here: 1. Open any of the logic delays and click on the sync note and logic will show you the equivalent ms. No calculator needed, at least to get to the first answer. 2. You could experiment with a longer reverb (e.g. 750ms here) and then simply "duck it" with the compressor side-chained to your original vocal and the compressor release set to your 187.5ms preference. Will obviously sound different ( effectively an "opposite" ), but, also "in time".
Thank you I really love what your doing here, I also am a producer and its so nice to see a lady like yourself laying out some awesome tips I have subscribed
i just got my first mic with no setup so i’m trying to figure everything out on my old hp. I really appreciate you queen! no hate keeping you really educated us and i’m definitely a fan of your music 💞
Nice! A couple of things thou, logics reverbs also have the ability to eq. Also there is a part you say 94 seconds but you meant milliseconds, no big deal, you are still awsome!
Your videos are amazing! I'm new to mixing, and I'm learning so much from your videos! I'm not quite sure yet what order to watch in but I'm piecing it little by little :D
I love the song and once again I've learned something new to use because I had a app that did it for me but that actually handicapped me when it came to understanding reverb delay. I'm about to enjoy my lockdown time fixing reverb on some of my songs I tried to mix without the engineer...lol...👍
I really enjoyed the song Valentina! I had a quick question: Will the high and low pass filters on the reverbs that come with Logic accomplish the same thing as the EQ feature in the hybrid plugin? Thanks for the video. I am a rank amateur but thought your explanation was very clear!
I use automation markers to get a consistent level throughout the tracks I record. I’ve found that once I set my track markers I don’t seem to be able to use the volume sliders for each track on the mixer sliders because they are defaulting to the inconsistent levels of markers I’ve set inside the tracks. I would prefer that once I set the markers inside the track to a consistent level the mixer slider would not read all of the fluctuation inside the track and let me adjust the track levels without reacting to the marker fluctuation. I’m sure there is a simple setting to get there, I just haven’t found it yet. Ive tried turning automation off before opening the mixer. The marker settings still work but the mixer sliders still jump around to the marker levels. What’s the magic switch? I love your tutorials and your music. Thanks, KY fan
Heya! Quick question: If you had of kept your reverb at 750ms (quarter note), would you still have divided it by 2 to achieve your pre-delay time as you did when you you divided the 750ms down to your 16th note?

Same! This is definitely a life saver.
This was one of the BEST tutorials on how to apply reverb to a vocal that I think I've ever seen. Ty so much for the clarity!

Skip to 04:30 if you want to save some time. Very good explanation of parameters that can be used on almost any reverb.
Super clean! Love the song!
Thank you for sharing your wisdom and talent. Blessings. 🙏🏽❤️
Denise's 'Perfect Room' is pretty good reverb-wise. Been using 'Punisher' from them quite a lot lately.
Thank you I really love what your doing here, I also am a producer and its so nice to see a lady like yourself laying out some awesome tips I have subscribed

I love the song and once again I've learned something new to use because I had a app that did it for me but that actually handicapped me when it came to understanding reverb delay. I'm about to enjoy my lockdown time fixing reverb on some of my songs I tried to mix without the engineer...lol...👍
