Tech N9ne, I hope your reading this. You were talking about a concert you first toured with ICP, Bone Thugz and KMK. That tour was called the Wicked Wonka Tour. I was a flat out Juggalo and have never heard of Tech N9ne at the time. I bought tickets to the show in Des Moines, IA where I was from. Apparently, you sprained your ankle the night or 2 before in your hometown of Kansas City. I showed up at Seven Flags Center in Clive, IA 6 hours early. A van pulled up early and Tech N9ne hopped out by the front door in crouches. I was standing by the front door in Violent J paint when security opened the door and when Tech walked by he stopped, looked at me and said, "I like your face paint. My name is Tech, but you can call me Aaron". I said thanks and shook your hand. As Tech walked by the door and it shut, everyone said "OMG you just talked to Tech N9ne". I had no idea who Tech was. When Tech opened that show, he rocked that show. He was the livest part of the show even though he had a sprained ankle. This was when Angellic was coming out. I'm a huge Tech fan today and I'm proud to have personally met him.
For whatever reason I never got into Tech and I'm not even sure why? I went to that show mainly to see KmK and Bone Thugs even though it was only 3 of em. I had been to a few ICP shows so I knew they atleast put on a good show. But I started loosing respect for them and their music after that tour. That's when they started getting soft and wack af. I atleast got to see their last great tour which was the psychopathic all stars tour with Blaze, ABK, Twizted, ICP and Dark Lotus. atleast I got to see wk before they lost that magic. But I remember that tour and when Tech came out he rocked the place. no denying his talent, but around that time my love for my local Texas shit outweighed everything else. I was stuck on that and old skool triple six, otherwise I would of given Tech more of a listen. but I did associate him with the whole psychopathic thing that I obviously outgrew.
manbearpigneil84 hahah yup you can tell the dumbass in the grey hat is waiting for tech to dog on the juggalos, but he simply won't..probably doesn't realize that tech is a juggalo too hahah

KnKDarkLotus tech is nice but he did bit ICP style just with painting face an his following is just like ICP he just needs 2 stop frontin about that hes not acknowledging them because of all the bad press of the jugaloos
He would have icp on the show but they are white... right !!!! this would be considered white privilege plus this chocolate is a racist. So I hope they never go on this assclowns show.

I agree that Desiigner sounded British on Panda He really did sound like he was part of Rollin Deep hanging with Dizzy Rascal or So Solid Crew. I love it. It's all G, I so love that London sound and all that Grime. Tech is a BEAST!!! He has an authoritative, although, very humble way about himself. Like.. he knows he is good, but is grateful to those before and since who have given him direction and inspiration. Tech9 WE Love You! Great interview! Thanks for it guys! Q
Tech been trying to distance himself from the juggalo world. but at the end of the day before the Wayne/Kendrick Co signs he got his surge in popularity after that icp tour
Will Davis I own it on vinyl I've also heard the other references in past albums. I'm just talking bout dudes demeanor in the interview he brings up gang bangs but knows damn well some juggalettes that aren't trashy like that, and a no longer existent drug bridge and cops are on site at legend valley I went this year.

i don't know much but i know this.... i was at the wicked wonka tour stop in CHICAGO and it was the 3 or 4th stop of the tour, and these are 100% FACTS!!!! NO ONE CAME TO THAT SHOW TO SEE TECH, NO ONE TURNED THERE BACK ON TECH, AND ON THE WAY OUT OF THE SHOW ALL OF US JUGGALO'S BOUGHT HIS CD. and juggalos have supported him ever since.....MMFFL
It's funny how these folks talk down on Juggalos but I have been at a million shows put on by ICP and Psychopathic Records and never not once have I heard anyone talk about racist stuff the way these people do the good thing about being a juggalo is your not apart of these types of ppl who judge and separate. Its sick and sad because of ppl like this music and mainly hip hop has been held back because of this closed minded way of thinking. It's funny and very hypocritical if you really think about it. Here these "hip hop heads" are down talking a group they obviously know little about and yet they feel like they can talk about there music and fans like they have ever gave them the time of day yet they somehow can talk shit. Idk it's talk like this that Americans were saying about hip hop back in the 90s and what's funny is ICP had been around longer than any of these ppl and still put on a great show to this day... Not everyone has to have a billion fare weather fans and tour once every 10 year's to be relevant
I respect the fuck out of Tech. Dude is humble, successful, and hella nice on the mic.

Scary dodging 2 liter bottles of faygo while strobe lights were flashing though.
Ayy can't wait to work with Tech+
Proud Technician & juggalette. Whoop whoop & 3 owoos from me. Can't wait for The Storm man. Holy fuck. Tecca never disappoints his technicians. ^w ^
"Check it I ain't tryna do no early interviews
Unless it's Sway, Johnny Dare, or Bubba of the Love Sponge
Comfortable"
"From Rocked Rhyme sessions
The top I'm stepping
But I'm no longer stepping in Hot 9-7
To the powers that be
Travel to see the spot N9ne's repping, yeah, comfortable here"
-Comfortable by Tech N9ne
Check it out he goes off
I agree that Desiigner sounded British on Panda He really did sound like he was part of Rollin Deep hanging with Dizzy Rascal or So Solid Crew.
Q
Talk about a fucking legend and underrated
yes 90s hip hop is where it's at... we just need someone to bring it back with a couple modern touches
Man I fucking Love that man.
Tech N9ne is technically the best rapper alive
Tech been trying to distance himself from the juggalo world. but at the end of the day before the Wayne/Kendrick Co signs he got his surge in popularity after that icp tour
Hypnotized Ninja I agree
Hypnotized Ninja fuck no he ain't listen to strangeulation vol 2 the first cypher. "give me three AAWWOO'S and two whoops " so fuck off with that
Will Davis I own it on vinyl I've also heard the other references in past albums. I'm just talking bout dudes demeanor in the interview he brings up gang bangs but knows damn well some juggalettes that aren't trashy like that, and a no longer existent drug bridge and cops are on site at legend valley I went this year.
I love when a Artist knows the history of hiphop/Rap and can keep up with them ...its so entertaining 2 me.... makes me want to be there talking with them swear!!!😃
Tech been goin forever now and hasn't slowed down like most rappers do. Album after album. Tour after tour. Keep inspiring tha underground G! A lot of us look up to you!!! All you true hiphop heads give my channel a visit if you lookin to discover a dope artist on Tha rise 🙌🙌
love this. beautiful interview /conversation with. tech n9ne! thanks hot 97. :)
I'd be good on that raw dawg line lol
big respect to tech9
Tech is the bomb. Hip Hop is awesome from all ages and times. From Lil Yachty to Biggir and Lil Cease to master P
Nah
pay some respect to ICP and their fans because when nobody was listen to tech 9ne or supporting him the gave Him a format to shine what up doe
Tech N9ne always Underrated but can Never be duplicated!!!
Kottonmouth kings getting shouted out. Love it! Tech9 has a couple songs with them too.
I wish I could meet tech I may be a juggalo but I listened to tech long befor I heard about icp so mad respect and wish I could afford to come to one of your concerts in colorado
befor i saw tech n9ne back in 2009 i never heard of them...saw them on tour with icp and got hooked on thier music bad fn ass
i bump both of their shit
tech n9ne definitely one of the best!
i don't know much but i know this.... i was at the wicked wonka tour stop in CHICAGO and it was the 3 or 4th stop of the tour, and these are 100% FACTS!!!! NO ONE CAME TO THAT SHOW TO SEE TECH, NO ONE TURNED THERE BACK ON TECH, AND ON THE WAY OUT OF THE SHOW ALL OF US JUGGALO'S BOUGHT HIS CD. and juggalos have supported him ever since.....MMFFL
Liked this immediately!!!!
If you loving this tech n9ne give me three aooh's and two whoops
i seen him live when he come to new zealand, one of the best shows ive ever been too!
As always I commend you guys for great interviews!
I'm no longer steppin in hot 97 to the powers that be traveled to see that spot N9NE'S reppin 🔥
A lot of truth in this interview
Gathering of the Strangiens... LMFAO NOW THAT would be a great festival.
Kansas City native!!
Name for tech n9nes festival? "Strangefest"
Labels like Tech's Strange Music or the Suburban Noize Record label would flat out not exist without the business model that ICP pioneered.
Now that i actually watched this, Tech does kind of play off his connection to ICP.
Much luv bro
for sure unique and dope fast barzzz
Did this dude really pull the race card on jugallos? LOL 4:36
I was like 12-13 I believe literally cried because I missed that concert with bone thugs & Kmk when you came to Las Vegas 😂
I wouldn't mind signing to 9 since my style crazy
humble brag much?
