We might have told you already but it might help you to know Tuomas uses several pseudonyms to refer to himself in various Nightwish songs which he writes from experiences, observation or imagination, he says he is a man with a boy's heart, a grown-up Peter Pan, and you will see that directly in places even when he uses boy narrators sometimes in place of himself. Digging into his lyrics is almost a second bite of the cherry. He will also use poet, dreamer, writer/song writer or ocean soul - Tuomas has an affinity for the ocean, he was studying to be a marine biologist. So here, "A writer by a fire. . . . . ." Tuomas is speaking to you directly, he is the story-teller, the “writer by the fire” - "Took a journey into a child-man’s heart" would be Tuomas remembering the childhood stories, the Peter Pan escapades of his imagination and fascinations, but the boy has grown up from being a Peter-Pan, the crib is empty. Floor sings the bridge "Neverland, innocence, dreams of every man. . . . . ." in a high operatic head voice, a pitch you might expect from a very excited small boy. Now, go look at all the lyrics and the references to the childhood classic stories and it all drops into place; it's one of the songs where it is easy to dig inside Tuomas' metaphoric lyrics and unravel them. I am from Holland and a 68 year old Nightwish and Floor fan, probably the worlds best female singer right now. You should also listen to her solo album, and her performance at the dutch tv show Beste Zangers(best singers). And last but not least and thats why we also love her so much she a very kind and sweet and humble person.

Not that long ago Floor appeared on a Dutch tv programme called Beste Zangers (best singers). A small group of diverse singers got together in an intimate setting and sung each other’s songs or songs that meant something to them. It kick started Floor’s solo career alongside Nightwish. Check out her version of Lady Gaga’s “Shallow” or her singing Phantom of the Opera with the original Dutch phantom. They will blow your socks off!
Absolutely concur. The other professional singers watching her were blown away by her singing as well. She also sang a beautiful song in Spanish that one of the other singers wrote.
@@ecbftlMy favourite of hers from that show was 'About Love I Don't Know A Thing', yet it doesn't get suggested too often. Surely I can't be the only one that prefers that performance over the others that she did. The way that she softly finishes that song is magical. Lots of heart and warmth in that performance. Lets be honest, they were all fantastic in their own right.

I am 69 years old and discovered Nightwish in 2019. You are experiencing the same thing I did. There is a quality to Floor’s voice that, for me, is undefinable. But it grabbed my soul the first time I heard it. Thankfully, Floor was fronting a tremendously talented group of musicians with a brilliant composer as their leader. The music of Nightwish is just as captivating as Floor’s voice. For me in the 2000s there have been many songs by a variety of artists that I’ve enjoyed, but Nightwish is the ONLY band that has captured my solid interest-to the point of buying albums, concert DVDs, and finally seeing them live. You are very lucky to have now discovered Nightwish for yourselves. It’s going to be really hard for you to pace yourselves to allow for reactions production. I had the luxury of going on a binge; there is a lot to enjoy from a band that’s been performing for more than 25 years. And every song they perform only solidifies their greatness. My recommendation: stay with the performances from this 2013 Wacken concert for a while. This concert was magical. Floor had been with band at this point for only a matter of months, after she replaced Anette Olzon in late 2012 (you can delve into the reasons for this on your own); Floor was not an official member of the band during this performance. Wacken is the largest metal festival in the world, and Nightwish was headlining the final night. And, NW was capturing high quality video and audio for a Blu-Ray DVD production (which you can get). This concert encapsulates what is, essentially, a “Best Of” collection of pre-2013 NW songs. Watching this concert you can witness the joy on the faces of all the band members as they know for certain that they best female singer on the planet now in their band. Every song is a winner. My favorites (besides the two you’ve already done) include Song of Myself, Romanticide, Everdream, Nemo, Last Ride of the Day, Ghost River… hell, they’re all good! Enjoy!!
Great comment. Yes, we have said on several videos one of the most difficult things is refraining from going off and watching all the videos of some artists and groups we've done. @@CoachCastTV A word of "warning/heads up" Floor doesn't sing the studio versions of the songs you reacted to, since they were sung by the previous female leads. Tarja the OG singer who recorded Ghost Love Score is as good as Floor, just in a different way. However the second singer Anette is a more traditional pop/rock singer and her studio version is pretty horrible when compared to this amazing live version from Floor. Tuomas (the composer/writer/keyboardist) rearranged Storytime for Floor to be more like his original vision, and it is so much better. So especially since you heard this ultimate version first, don't be shocked/surprised that the studio version will sound very different and a bit lackluster due to the pop bounce in the chorus. Anette has some songs like Amaranth that she absolutely nails, just not this one

Thanks for your reactions... yes, as you say, there is "something" radiating from Floor Jansen, her whole persona is overwhelming... and if you watch the interviews of her, or things like Learn the setlist in 48Hr or Reconnections (Dutch TV about Floor meeting with her classmates from Rock academy) then you will see she is really kind person, even shy, nothing like the godess she is on stage...
Floor Jansen is a true sensitive empath. What does that mean? She feels the feelings of others and these have a direct effect on her. This is a blessing and a curse. Furthermore, she also seems to give off these feelings back to her listeners through her appearance and her singing voice and speaking voice. That's why a lot of people feel their song on a completely different level. You feel for her when she speaks and sings. She has an huge warm radiance.This all sounds more esoteric than it is in the description.
In a recent song Tuomas wrote for Floor to sing called "How’s the Heart?" has lyrics referencing Floor when she met her husband after joining Nightwish. The lyrics initially described her as "a mother with no child". Since then Floor has had 2 girls, and I have seen her husband Hannes, Drummer for Sabaton, literally start bowing to her in an interview when talking about her skills as a mother.
That she is an empath does not surprise me at all. The first tell is that her horses LOVE her just as much as her daughters do, you can see it and just feel it through the screen if you watch their body language when she is by them. She's a gentle soul most of the time and she loves the peace that comes with living on that farm, the furthest thing from touring, almost diametrically opposite. Can't help but fall for that awesome, big-hearted lady.

She at other times also talks about the 2 sides of her personality, the wild wolf while out on the road, and dog when relaxed, happy and comfy at home.

Great Reaction, I'm watching from Helsinki Finland and being the same nationality as the most of the band members and they founded the band in Finland, so been a fan of Nightwish since the very beginning of their Live shows or Recordings. Seen all singers and they are all great, but like you said Floor's voice and techniques just mesmerises me every time!

It has an unearthlike quality which is why we as fans are in the believe that she is secretly a Valkyrie that has been send down from Valhalla to capture the minds and hearts of humanity. NWA chapter Thuringia/Germany reporting 🇩🇪 Mrs Coach is right, Floor's voice is something else, it touches me emotional like no other singer ever did. You will come across to songs where you will tear up for no reason, just because of the voice. I entered the NW rabbit hole 4 years ago ( lock down time) and haven't left ever since. I own now all of their albums and dvds. I was lucky enough to see 2 of their shows in December 2022. Having seen them three times now, I can assure you that you are correct. Floor has an extraordinary stage presence and command of the audience! It doesn't hurt that she's 6'1" standing barefoot in sand. Those stage heels put her closer to 6'5"!!!
Yup. In those heels, she's up high enough to be able to see over Marko's head and he must be somewhere around 6ft, 3in...I will go look it up... According to Wikipedia (so don't put too much stock in this...) Marko is 5ft, 11in. I really thought he was taller! I knew that Emppu is shorter than I am but I really thought Marko was closer to Floor's height than that! lol

There's something about her voice...I don't know what it is, but Floor's singing triggers an emotional response inside me, and I love it. I'm a Nightwish fan since the late 90s, been through all the line-up's and, for me, Floor is the ONE.
Hello I have some info on Floor Jansen for you here. She is married to Hannes Van Dahl, drummer of the Swedish power metal band Sabaton. Together they have 2 daughters (Freja & Lucy) Floor Jansen is a soprano, with a range of more than 3 octaves (C3 to F6). Re-singing style ranges from opera to screams and grunts. She usually sings in English, in addition she has also sung songs in Dutch, German, Spanish, Finnish, Latin, Italian and Swedish. Jansen was the singer of the Dutch metal band After Forever from 1997 to early 2009. From 1999 she studied at the Rockacademie in Tilburg with classmates Jacqueline Govaert and Danny Vera, where she graduated in 2003. In addition to her activities at After Forever, she cool singing lessons. She plays guitar, piano and flute. On May 5, 2010, she presented her new band ReVamp, which was disbanded in September 2016. From 1 October 2012 Jansen replaced Anette Olzon as singer of Nightwish during the Imaginaerum World Tour. On October 9, 2013, it was announced that she would be the group's regular new front singer. In 2015, Nightwish released the album Endless Forms Most Beautiful with Jansen as lead singer. A big Hi from London in the UK. I discovered the band completely by accident in a music review during lockdown. I've been in love ever since, and took the first opportunity I could to see them live in concert with my 18 year old daughter (I'm 49). It was a fantastic evening. My whole journey with discovering the talent and variety of Nightwish has been enchanting, and I do hope you continue to do more reactions to this band. As a side note, if you;re up for documentaries on Bands, then on yourtube there is a nightwish documentary called "Learn the set list in 48 hours". You don;t necessarilty have to watch it live on the channel, but it will give you a great background into the band and its members, and how Floor came to join the band. Kind Regards from the UK.
I saw Nightwish in 2012 on a double headlining show with the great Kamelot. The singer for Nightwish that night was Anette Olzen, and they opened with "Storytime." A lot of people don't like Anette because her vocal style is so than that of Tarja and Floor ("Floor" translates to "flower" in Dutch), but I like her and she was great that night. A week later, however, it was announced that Anette and Nightwish had parted ways.

Hello, NW Army reporting from S. FL, U.S.A. 🫡 Yeah NW’s music is SO good and Floor’s vocals are SO POWERFUL!!! A person would have to be DEAD inside to NOT get a reaction from their music, trust me, I suffer from emotional detachment disorder (or emotional numbness) and the combination of the music composition, the lyrics AND the delivery by the Valkyrie Queen’s vocals makes me FEEL more than ANY other band I’ve EVER listened to (and ALL of Floor’s other bands and side projects and solo career too!!!) I think you both would enjoy “Ever Dream” and “Romanticide” next!
They are magic! One reactor could not remember the name of the bassist, Marko, and kept calling him Gandalf for several reactions! Finland has a lot of unique mythology and Tuomas uses his knowledge of it for the visuals and the lyrics as well as Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland and Mary Poppins (the chimney reference in this song). Floor has such a powerful voice and she controls it well. Floor is a really nice person and she does post personal things in Floorworld. Floorworld is for us fans to watch Floor and talk to her and other fans. She also has 2 things on her RUclips Channel and they are Story Time and Floor Finds and some Fan Friday's. Story Time is about her and Floor Finds she talks to a other person on one subject. Fan Friday's was during covid us fans texted her questions and she answered them. Her stage presence is awesome
Floor's voice is a strange thing, for some it's love at first listen, and for some it's just a talented soprano with a variety of styles. I'm in the first classification. I listened to Nightwish in the turn of the millennium but as Tarja was booted out I just forgot about the band. Just three years ago I first listened to the Ghost Love Score with Floor and it took only a couple of minutes to just fall in love with her voice. And a secondary thing is her stage presence, she coud hype me up like a puppy just by her audience interaction.

Awh, let him have the viking bears mrs😂 Nightwish started 30 years ago, this drummer, Yuka, suffered from insomnia and migraine and coud not go on. He brought in his friend Kai, who is also called the human metronome, also an awesome drummer. The first singer (drama story) Tarja was full operatic (too much for my taste, but many loved it) Floor is a part of Nightwish for 12 years now and I think it's the best thing that could happen for them, including Troy who plays a lot of instruments (Uilean pipes, flutes, Bouzouki, Guitar and sings beautiful) Thanks for your reaction, NW division Holland

I'm from Sweden, (neighbor of Finland, Nightwish's "homeland"); and I've been following this band since "the beginning", and I think FLOOR has the most "versatile" voice of the bands 3 female singers. Nightwish was the "first band" to successfully combine "Opera/Classical voices, to Rock/Metal". They've inspired NUMEROUS other bands to do the same...and WE LOVE IT! ❤ Btw...Their "main composer" is Tuomas, who plays the keyboard. He composes EVERY INSTRUMENT's notes, with some help and suggestions by London Symphony Orchestra and different "singers singing together"...(sorry, I cannot spell that word in english...lol). I have been a fan of Floor since way back when she sang in After Forever, lost touch in the Revamp era, and (re)discovered Nightwish in 2020. I had heard of Nightwish back in the 90s and listened to a few songs, but I preferred After Forever lol

I think when mrs coach gets to see more of nightwish and their versatality she will be even more impressed.also Floor sings several single songs on a program called Beste Zangers. Where you will see the versatility of Floors voice. From Opera style musical like Phantom of the Opera with a gentleman named Henke Port. To just Floor singing songs like Shallow, and the cover of Heart's song ALONE. Also Nightwish has several songs that send a message. Hopefully you will get to The Greatest Show On Earth. Which is very unique in representing the beginning to the start of life on earth from the big bang until present time. Night wish is more than just a musical group, they are an experience that is captured by their fans and audience.
The only singing I never could stomach much before Floor was opera. I stated that clearly many times, respected the talent of the singers but never appealed to me. Floor can sing anything to me, and I am sold. The whole of Nightwish is so great and versatile, any mood you are in, Nightwish has a song for that feeling. I’m a Nightwish fan way back in the Tarja days. It’s a big rabbit hole to discover, and enjoy. You may want to try a band of siblings called Liliac. Their covers, and original work is great. Going to see them for a second time later this summer..
This is just an overview of the three lead singers. First was Tarja. Side note, the "j" is pronounced as a "Y". She is one of the original members. She is magnificent & sings like a Siren. It is almost supernatural that her big, powerful voice comes out such a little body. The second was Annette. She is a world-class singer every bit as good as stars like Lady Gaga or Taylor Swift. Annette is cute like a Pixie. Currently, we have Floor & she is majestic. Most fans refer to her as Valkyrie. The Valkyrie are the Viking equivalent of angels. On stage Floor looks like a Viking Queen & she sings like an angel. Off stage, she is a wife, mother, & humble girl next door.
We might have told you already but it might help you to know Tuomas uses several pseudonyms to refer to himself in various Nightwish songs which he writes from experiences, observation or imagination, he says he is a man with a boy's heart, a grown-up Peter Pan, and you will see that directly in places even when he uses boy narrators sometimes in place of himself.
Digging into his lyrics is almost a second bite of the cherry. He will also use poet, dreamer, writer/song writer or ocean soul - Tuomas has an affinity for the ocean, he was studying to be a marine biologist.
So here, "A writer by a fire. . . . . ." Tuomas is speaking to you directly, he is the story-teller, the “writer by the fire” - "Took a journey into a child-man’s heart" would be Tuomas remembering the childhood stories, the Peter Pan escapades of his imagination and fascinations, but the boy has grown up from being a Peter-Pan, the crib is empty.
Floor sings the bridge "Neverland, innocence, dreams of every man. . . . . ." in a high operatic head voice, a pitch you might expect from a very excited small boy. Now, go look at all the lyrics and the references to the childhood classic stories and it all drops into place; it's one of the songs where it is easy to dig inside Tuomas' metaphoric lyrics and unravel them.

I am from Holland and a 68 year old Nightwish and Floor fan, probably the worlds best female singer right now. You should also listen to her solo album, and her performance at the dutch tv show Beste Zangers(best singers).
And last but not least and thats why we also love her so much she a very kind and sweet and humble person.
This is extremely colorful singing - there are sections where she is using a different voice / singing style for every word in a sentence! Switching this fast is really acrobatic.

Not that long ago Floor appeared on a Dutch tv programme called Beste Zangers (best singers). A small group of diverse singers got together in an intimate setting and sung each other’s songs or songs that meant something to them. It kick started Floor’s solo career alongside Nightwish. Check out her version of Lady Gaga’s “Shallow” or her singing Phantom of the Opera with the original Dutch phantom. They will blow your socks off!
Absolutely concur. The other professional singers watching her were blown away by her singing as well. She also sang a beautiful song in Spanish that one of the other singers wrote.
@@ecbftlMy favourite of hers from that show was 'About Love I Don't Know A Thing', yet it doesn't get suggested too often. Surely I can't be the only one that prefers that performance over the others that she did. The way that she softly finishes that song is magical. Lots of heart and warmth in that performance.

I am 69 years old and discovered Nightwish in 2019. You are experiencing the same thing I did. There is a quality to Floor’s voice that, for me, is undefinable. But it grabbed my soul the first time I heard it. Thankfully, Floor was fronting a tremendously talented group of musicians with a brilliant composer as their leader. The music of Nightwish is just as captivating as Floor’s voice. For me in the 2000s there have been many songs by a variety of artists that I’ve enjoyed, but Nightwish is the ONLY band that has captured my solid interest-to the point of buying albums, concert DVDs, and finally seeing them live. You are very lucky to have now discovered Nightwish for yourselves. It’s going to be really hard for you to pace yourselves to allow for reactions production. I had the luxury of going on a binge; there is a lot to enjoy from a band that’s been performing for more than 25 years. And every song they perform only solidifies their greatness. My recommendation: stay with the performances from this 2013 Wacken concert for a while. This concert was magical. Floor had been with band at this point for only a matter of months, after she replaced Anette Olzon in late 2012 (you can delve into the reasons for this on your own); Floor was not an official member of the band during this performance. Wacken is the largest metal festival in the world, and Nightwish was headlining the final night. And, NW was capturing high quality video and audio for a Blu-Ray DVD production (which you can get). This concert encapsulates what is, essentially, a “Best Of” collection of pre-2013 NW songs. Watching this concert you can witness the joy on the faces of all the band members as they know for certain that they best female singer on the planet now in their band. Every song is a winner. My favorites (besides the two you’ve already done) include Song of Myself, Romanticide, Everdream, Nemo, Last Ride of the Day, Ghost River… hell, they’re all good! Enjoy!!
Great comment. Yes, we have said on several videos one of the most difficult things is refraining from going off and watching all the videos of some artists and groups we've done. @@CoachCastTV A word of "warning/heads up" Floor doesn't sing the studio versions of the songs you reacted to, since they were sung by the previous female leads.
Tarja the OG singer who recorded Ghost Love Score is as good as Floor, just in a different way. However the second singer Anette is a more traditional pop/rock singer and her studio version is pretty horrible when compared to this amazing live version from Floor. Tuomas (the composer/writer/keyboardist) rearranged Storytime for Floor to be more like his original vision, and it is so much better.
So especially since you heard this ultimate version first, don't be shocked/surprised that the studio version will sound very different and a bit lackluster due to the pop bounce in the chorus. Anette has some songs like Amaranth that she absolutely nails, just not this one

Thanks for your reactions... yes, as you say, there is "something" radiating from Floor Jansen, her whole persona is overwhelming... and if you watch the interviews of her, or things like Learn the setlist in 48Hr or Reconnections (Dutch TV about Floor meeting with her classmates from Rock academy) then you will see she is really kind person, even shy, nothing like the godess she is on stage...
Floor Jansen is a true sensitive empath. What does that mean? She feels the feelings of others and these have a direct effect on her. This is a blessing and a curse. Furthermore, she also seems to give off these feelings back to her listeners through her appearance and her singing voice and speaking voice. That's why a lot of people feel their song on a completely different level. You feel for her when she speaks and sings. She has an huge warm radiance.This all sounds more esoteric than it is in the description.

In a recent song Tuomas wrote for Floor to sing called "How’s the Heart?" has lyrics referencing Floor when she met her husband after joining Nightwish. The lyrics initially described her as "a mother with no child". Since then Floor has had 2 girls, and I have seen her husband Hannes, Drummer for Sabaton, literally start bowing to her in an interview when talking about her skills as a mother.
That she is an empath does not surprise me at all. The first tell is that her horses LOVE her just as much as her daughters do, you can see it and just feel it through the screen if you watch their body language when she is by them. She's a gentle soul most of the time and she loves the peace that comes with living on that farm, the furthest thing from touring, almost diametrically opposite. Can't help but fall for that awesome, big-hearted lady.

She at other times also talks about the 2 sides of her personality, the wild wolf while out on the road, and dog when relaxed, happy and comfy at home.

Great Reaction, I'm watching from Helsinki Finland and being the same nationality as the most of the band members and they founded the band in Finland, so been a fan of Nightwish since the very beginning of their Live shows or Recordings. Seen all singers and they are all great, but like you said Floor's voice and techniques just mesmerises me every time!

Mrs Coach is right, Floor's voice is something else, it touches me emotional like no other singer ever did. You will come across to songs where you will tear up for no reason, just because of the voice.
I entered the NW rabbit hole 4 years ago ( lock down time) and haven't left ever since. I own now all of their albums and dvds. I was lucky enough to see 2 of their shows in December 2022. Next time they will tour, we'll take time off work and follow them through Europe for 2 or 3 weeks.

Having seen them three times now, I can assure you that you are correct. Floor has an extraordinary stage presence and command of the audience! It doesn't hurt that she's 6'1" standing barefoot in sand. Those stage heels put her closer to 6'5"!!!

I have some info on Floor Jansen for you here.
She is married to Hannes Van Dahl, drummer of the Swedish power metal band Sabaton. Together they have 2 daughters (Freja & Lucy)
Floor Jansen is a soprano, with a range of more than 3 octaves (C3 to F6). Re-singing style ranges from opera to screams and grunts. She usually sings in English, in addition she has also sung songs in Dutch, German, Spanish, Finnish, Latin, Italian and Swedish.
Jansen was the singer of the Dutch metal band After Forever from 1997 to early 2009. From 1999 she studied at the Rockacademie in Tilburg with classmates Jacqueline Govaert and Danny Vera, where she graduated in 2003. In addition to her activities at After Forever, she cool singing lessons. She plays guitar, piano and flute. On May 5, 2010, she presented her new band ReVamp, which was disbanded in September 2016.
From 1 October 2012 Jansen replaced Anette Olzon as singer of Nightwish during the Imaginaerum World Tour. On October 9, 2013, it was announced that she would be the group's regular new front singer. In 2015, Nightwish released the album Endless Forms Most Beautiful with Jansen as lead singer. Nightwish's second studio album with Jansen as front singer, Human. :II: Nature., was released in April 2020.

A big Hi from London in the UK. I discovered the band completely by accident in a music review during lockdown. I've been in love ever since, and took the first opportunity I could to see them live in concert with my 18 year old daughter (I'm 49). It was a fantastic evening. My whole journey with discovering the talent and variety of Nightwish has been enchanting, and I do hope you continue to do more reactions to this band. As a side note, if you;re up for documentaries on Bands, then on yourtube there is a nightwish documentary called "Learn the set list in 48 hours". You don;t necessarilty have to watch it live on the channel, but it will give you a great background into the band and its members, and how Floor came to join the band. Kind Regards from the UK.
I saw Nightwish in 2012 on a double headlining show with the great Kamelot. The singer for Nightwish that night was Anette Olzen, and they opened with "Storytime." A lot of people don't like Anette because her vocal style is so than that of Tarja and Floor ("Floor" translates to "flower" in Dutch), but I like her and she was great that night. A week later, however, it was announced that Anette and Nightwish had parted ways.

Before she joined Nightwish she was recovering from a burnout. There some videos of her discussing her burnout. Floor was a vocal coach. In the song Shoemaker at the end is Floor being operactic. She does sing O Mio Bambino Caro and Stabat mater dolorosa

Hello, NW Army reporting from S. FL, U.S.A. 🫡 Yeah NW’s music is SO good and Floor’s vocals are SO POWERFUL!!! A person would have to be DEAD inside to NOT get a reaction from their music, trust me, I suffer from emotional detachment disorder (or emotional numbness) and the combination of the music composition, the lyrics AND the delivery by the Valkyrie Queen’s vocals makes me FEEL more than ANY other band I’ve EVER listened to (and ALL of Floor’s other bands and side projects and solo career too!!!) I think you both would enjoy “Ever Dream” and “Romanticide” next!
They are magic! One reactor could not remember the name of the bassist, Marko, and kept calling him Gandalf for several reactions! Finland has a lot of unique mythology and Tuomas uses his knowledge of it for the visuals and the lyrics as well as Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland and Mary Poppins (the chimney reference in this song). Floor has such a powerful voice and she controls it well. Floor is a really nice person and she does post personal things in Floorworld. Floorworld is for us fans to watch Floor and talk to her and other fans. She also has 2 things on her RUclips Channel and they are Story Time and Floor Finds and some Fan Friday's. Story Time is about her and Floor Finds she talks to a other person on one subject. Fan Friday's was during covid us fans texted her questions and she answered them. Her stage presence is awesome
Floor's voice is a strange thing, for some it's love at first listen, and for some it's just a talented soprano with a variety of styles.
I'm in the first classification. I listened to Nightwish in the turn of the millennium but as Tarja was booted out I just forgot about the band. Just three years ago I first listened to the Ghost Love Score with Floor and it took only a couple of minutes to just fall in love with her voice. And a secondary thing is her stage presence, she coud hype me up like a puppy just by her audience interaction.

Nightwish started 30 years ago, this drummer, Yuka, suffered from insomnia and migraine and coud not go on. He brought in his friend Kai, who is also called the human metronome, also an awesome drummer. The first singer (drama story) Tarja was full operatic (too much for my taste, but many loved it)
Floor is a part of Nightwish for 12 years now and I think it's the best thing that could happen for them, including Troy who plays a lot of instruments (Uilean pipes, flutes, Bouzouki, Guitar and sings beautiful)

I'm from Sweden, (neighbor of Finland, Nightwish's "homeland"); and I've been following this band since "the beginning", and I think FLOOR has the most "versatile" voice of the bands 3 female singers.
Nightwish was the "first band" to successfully combine "Opera/Classical voices, to Rock/Metal".
They've inspired NUMEROUS other bands to do the same...and WE LOVE IT! ❤
Btw...Their "main composer" is Tuomas, who plays the keyboard. He composes EVERY INSTRUMENT's notes, with some help and suggestions by London Symphony Orchestra and different "singers singing together"...(sorry, I cannot spell that word in english...lol).
This song is from IMAGINAREUM, an Album as well as a movie.
You should watch it...., but bring tissues. 😋

I have been a fan of Floor since way back when she sang in After Forever, lost touch in the Revamp era, and (re)discovered Nightwish in 2020. I had heard of Nightwish back in the 90s and listened to a few songs, but I preferred After Forever lol

I think when mrs coach gets to see more of nightwish and their versatality she will be even more impressed.also Floor sings several single songs on a program called Beste Zangers. Where you will see the versatility of Floors voice. From Opera style musical like Phantom of the Opera with a gentleman named Henke Port. To just Floor singing songs like Shallow, and the cover of Heart's song ALONE. Also Nightwish has several songs that send a message. Hopefully you will get to The Greatest Show On Earth. Which is very unique in representing the beginning to the start of life on earth from the big bang until present time. Night wish is more than just a musical group, they are an experience that is captured by their fans and audience.
The only singing I never could stomach much before Floor was opera. I stated that clearly many times, respected the talent of the singers but never appealed to me. Floor can sing anything to me, and I am sold. The whole of Nightwish is so great and versatile, any mood you are in, Nightwish has a song for that feeling. Liked and subbed for your Nightwish journey.

I’m a Nightwish fan way back in the Tarja days. It’s a big rabbit hole to discover, and enjoy. You may want to try a band of siblings called Liliac. Their covers, and original work is great. Going to see them for a second time later this summer..
This is just an overview of the three lead singers. First was Tarja. Side note, the "j" is pronounced as a "Y". She is one of the original members. She is magnificent & sings like a Siren. It is almost supernatural that her big, powerful voice comes out such a little body. The second was Annette. She is a world-class singer every bit as good as stars like Lady Gaga or Taylor Swift. Annette is cute like a Pixie. Currently, we have Floor & she is majestic. Most fans refer to her as Valkyrie. The Valkyrie are the Viking equivalent of angels. On stage Floor looks like a Viking Queen & she sings like an angel. Off stage, she is a wife, mother, & humble girl next door.
