You can’t cast a former Doctor in a tv show outside Who itself and give them dialogue about time/time travel things without knowing full well what rib you’re tickling.
😂😂
I’m literally not sure how I’m supposed to think he’s the bad guy in this.
They know what they’re doing lol. Reminds me of when Peter Capaldi played a doctor at the World Health Organization in World War Z. He was listed in the credits as “W.H.O. Doctor”
@@Mikezilla115 its funny since that movie came out before he was announced as the doctor
The Devil's Hour is produced by Steven Moffat, who was showrunner for Dr. Who during Capaldi's turn as The Doctor. This character is no accident.
This is what happens when the doctor is travelling without a companion.
The Timelord Victorious
The Timelord Victorious
The Timelord Victorious. 😂😂😂😂😂

"Gideon is basically just the 12th Doctor if he were a maniac"
so just the 12th Doctor then
gideon is any doctor without a companion
"Do you trust him?"
"I absolutely trust him"
"So hes not just some kind of madman?"
"...I absolutely trust him".
"Someday your life may depend on this... I am definitely a madman with a box."
With the addition that he lets them cuff him (not that river didnt on the singing towers ep)
The 12th Doctor if he did the Timelord Victorious thing and didn't get time pushing back.
Imagine Capaldi reading that in the script and immediately taken aback to his time on doctor who
Oh it definitely tickled him
Ah yes, The Doctor's midlife crisis.
@@rkah6187it's probably why he did this. I mean, I'm pretty sure the approach was 'play the Doctor like a serial killer'.
You mean like 4 years ago? Why are we talking about it like it’s ancient history? He hasn’t even aged yet, I legitimately couldn’t tell this wasn’t a Doctor Who clip until I actually saw it.
Moffatt is a writer for this show aswell as he was in Dr who.
POV: You finally get fed up of punching a wall and dying for 4.5 billion years

@@stephenproulx175 Galifrey was in a pocket universe though. They eventually got out and hid at the end of the universe, but they were in a pocket universe thanks to the 50th anniversary
That was one of the saddest moment the series ..I got emotional there xD
@@MorganSaph yes but then they got out, as you said. By the time the next dr is in, she should remember it was at the end of the universe. Until it didn't when Chinball came on
That was my absolute favorite episode of the Doctor, was very emotional.
Introducing Peter Capaldi as the Valeyard.
😂😂
Yessss 😂😂😂😂
My first thought exactly 👌🏼
Good to know I'm not the only one who immediately thought that.
That’s ingenious!
by the way this is what it say in the wiki
"Peter Capaldi as Gideon Shepherd, a mysterious criminal who has reincarnation abilities"
they knew what they were doing lol
Absolutely they knew. They basically told him. Be the doctor but if he was a killer and talked slower.
Since the producers also worked on Dr Who, .... naaa surely not.

I strongly recommend you rewatching his run, his seasons are some of the best. I hated them when they first came out but on my own rewatch it's been very very good
Anyone catch how perfectly they summed up his answer about not being a time traveler or fortune teller but also being both. When he knew what the guy would say in response to giving the wrong answer to being asked what he would say next. He knew what he would say because he knew what to say to make him say it.
If that sounds confusing read that last bit again in Capaldi's enthusiastic 12th Doctor voice.

I like to think that in an alternative timeline, the Doctor suffers so much pain and loss that it sends him down an even darker path than we've ever seen before.
A being, known as the Trickster, observes the Doctor's timeline and picks his moment to feast on the chaos and destruction that could be caused by changing one single moment.
After losing Clara to the Raven at the end of Series 9, everything plays out like we saw it......except one minor detail on the timeline gets altered. Instead of the Doctor forgetting Clara's existence, it's Clara that forgets him instead.
As a result, the Doctor is left travelling alone for centuries..grieving over the loss of his best friend. As each second of eternity passes, the Doctor's insanity begins to consume him. The Doctor once looked into the time vortex when he was a child, as an initiation process into The Academy...granting him unknown powers and strength. His insanity and delusion grows so strong, he unlocks the ability to look through time without the use of the Tardis. He can predict the future, just by thinking about it. Like remembering a memory that hasn't happened yet.
With this newfound ability, the Doctor travels all of Time and Space as a rage fuelled maniac.
Sounds like it might be a fanfic on Archive of Our Own (AO3)
Yes!!!
And remember he technically has the mentality of someone who has been dying over and over for 4.5 billion years

I haven't watched this movie yet, so I'm sitting here scratching my head trying to remember a point in time when the Doctor (MY Doctor - Capaldi -) was arrested for something.
It was after punching the guy who was racist to bill
