Having played with this bow now since last Thursday, I have more data to share with you on this bow. Today, I was able to reduce the sound and felt vibration at the shot by at least 50% just by replacing the string's four rubber speed nocks/dampeners, with regular brass nocks and shrink tubing. I replaced the ones closest to the center serving with 6 brass speed nocks (about 1") 4-inches away from the cam where the string exits the tracks, and the two closest to their cams with 3 brass nocks (about 1/2") 2-1/2" away from the cam where the string exits the tracks (I copied the pattern from my Bowtech RPM 360). The difference is night and day, and shoots soooo much better.
cant wait to see a bear alaskan xt review like this video i have one on order
3/12/24 INVENTORY UPDATE: We just have 1 Maxx in Mossy Oak Bottomland and 1 Maxx in Olive in stock.
Being an in store only bow, contact us directly to schedule your in person build appointment on one of these
Well done as always. Great bow. Almost got one. But went with the Alaskan XT.
Great stuff as always.
Can’t wait for the paradigm
I have my eye on that one
We have one 60lb available but more will arrive in January 👍
I had to shift both cams on my right-handed bow to the left, making the the spacers on the left side of the cams exactly 7/32", in order for the bow to actually papertune with the arrow right through the centerline of the riser. I got my bow set to 64#, and a (measured) drawlength of 27" (on the 26.5" module/drawstop setting) and shooting a 385 grain arrow at 271 fps. This is faster than even my Bowtech Solution SS set at 71# on the Comfort setting and a (measured) drawlength of 27" (on the 26.5" module/drawstop setting), shooting a 360 grain arrow at 275 fps. I think the Whitetail Maxx is a real winner at half the cost ($600 bow-only) of the Solution SS ($1200). It shoots faster; is lighter; and tunes up better with the string perfectly plumb with the riser (my Solution SS string is 1/4 bubble off of plumb with the riser).
We have had one that needed the same.
I shot one last night for the local shop owner. So I would literally replace everything it comes with. I definately had to add weight to the back and used my Cutter stab for it. Had residual vibration..but its a Bear. Worst part was that the sight was self. destructing after 35ish shots.
That is definitely what I recommend is start upgrading parts soon as possible to get the best out of it!
@@BetterOutdoorsarchery I will stick with my Veracity. Idk if there are any decent RTH packages that arent just plastic rubbish waiting to fail.
I'm just grateful there are really good bows in this price category regardless of the accessories
I need to quit procrastinating and make the drive from Tennessee and and get over there and get a new bow and get all set up!
Heck yeah! Just get with us to get that appointment scheduled 👍
