3/12/24 INVENTORY UPDATE: We just have 1 Maxx in Mossy Oak Bottomland and 1 Maxx in Olive in stock. Being an in store only bow, contact us directly to schedule your in person build appointment on one of these
I got this bow 2 weeks ago and did quite a bit of work to it: Out of the box, I had to fix the shims due to cam leaning away from the cable and the drawstop peg was clicking past the cable; Sliced off the 4 string grubs and replaced them with actual brass speed nocks and shrink tubing; Replaced the split limb dampeners with more robust ones. I managed to get cam lean out; the string to be plumb with the riser; and centershot exactly at 7/8" parallel to the riser; reduce felt vibration by half; and eliminated the *pop* sound created by the string grubs. Bow shoots bulletholes with 385 grain Easton Axis 400 arrows at 273 fps (increased from 271 fps with the string grubs still on). Drawlength is 27" (measured) and draw weight is 64#. Edit 3/12/2024: I installed cat whisker string silencers on this bow and it is now whisper quiet. Holy crap, it's a real shooter!!!!!
We have the speed test and build video in production for it right now. We will have the full review in February. The initial review on it is....impressive
I tested The whitetail maxx and Alaskan xt side by side in the archery shop and couldn’t get over how smooth the Alaskan was over the whitetail maxx. I like the whitetail but side by side the vibration is on another level compared to the Alaskan.
These are great reviews. It's a shame you can't ship those, I live about eight hours from you in Oklahoma. Unfortunately I don't have any Bear dealers near me. Sometimes it sucks to live in the boonies lol.

Very interesting & helpful. Thank you.
Why didn't you shoot an adult arrow?
550gr is the minimum anyone should shoot
This is a fast bow.. great test , appreciate the time!
Commenting for Al Gores rhythm.
So what will this bow cost me? Your not terribly far from me. I live outside of batesville
Sweet! We hope to see you soon! We have some in stock and they are $699.99 + Tax for the RTH package. That includes our Stage 2 setup & tune as well.
Do you have the bare whitetail maxx in stock now?
We have one RTH Olive in stock and one RTH Stone coming
Great test!
Can you shoot it at 28" with the same different grained arrows?
If you take 10fps off my findings at 29in, you will have the speed for 28in 👍
I should have thought of that lol, your videos got me decided on testing the whitetail maxx vs alaskan xt!
Is the bow too heavy to ship?
It is not, it is a Legend series bow which cannot be shipped. We can ship the Alaskan XT however 👍
What let off was it set at ?
It was set to 85% letoff
Will the 75% give it a little more speed ?
Only 2-3 more in the best case scenario
@@BetterOutdoorsarchery thanks u r the first I search for the real speed on my short draw lol
