Shinedown Stops Show Mid-Song to Help Fan

- Starland Ballroom, Sayreville, NJ 12/09/2015: In the middle of a performance of "Call Me", Brent sees something wrong in the crowd and stops the song to call for help. Brent and Zach played "Call Me" from the beginning a couple songs later.

Liane K that is an awesome thing when bands care about there fans and will help them during a song or anytime at all. LETS GO SHINEDOWN! FFDP has also done this.

@@Relytxz No they don't. In 2018, I was at Earthday Birthday and a band was playing (not Shinedown). A gentlemen collapsed next to me and everyone in the vicinity (right in front of the stage) was jumping up and down, waving their arms and screaming for help for this gentleman. The singer just kept going. Then as soon as the song was over, the singer said, "They're dropping like flies out there", so he was well aware that somebody needed medical attention. Thankfully, we found out later that the gentleman was ok, but that singer thought his performance was more important than this man's life. (It was a big name band, by the way).

And this is what being a band of true Rock-n-Roll legends is all about,...even though they are in mid performance they are still cognitive of what's going on with their audience.Bravo gentleman, bravo !
Travis Scott obviously seeing people screaming for help and dying meanwhile Brent hears someone scream help and he immediately clears a path for them and gets help! This is why they are my fav band, so much love for their audience. Love y'all from memphis!
I've been several Shinedown concerts. So positive and uplifting. So underrated. Hope to meet them one day.

OMG this video always makes me wana cry... you could tell Brent and Zach were just totally in shock and scared for the man....who I hope by the way is OK! Way to go guys...not many pay attention enough to the crowd to witness something like that and stop the show!! (Not saying no artist does...and sometimes it cannot be helped that it goes unnoticed!) ❤
One of the guys in the front row overheated and fainted. He ended up being fine later. It happens to me on occasion.

@@victoriacobb2370 I hate telling people that some friend of theirs has a bad condition like a seizure. Once I told a friend of mine from my social program that her friend has been hospitalized a lot via seizures, and that was really unexpected. I hate it.😢

Been to shows, not Shinedown, where I really got trampled upon by people rushing stage and no one knew due to the show not stopping. Made me happy cry to see this

Brent is one caring human being stopping that concert to get this person medical help. That shows that he's got a lot of heart and compassion for other people. My hat goes off and salute you Brent

If you listen closely, you can hear some people screaming for help and then Brent sees what’s happening. Looked like it was right in his line of vision.
When you spend years doing shows, you may miss one or two things here and there, but you learn to always keep an eye out up top, down below, and on both sides for anything going haywire. Tank has always been a badass for Shinedown's roadie crew in handling the fights, though I'm not sure if he was there to help the fan or if they sent someone else to help.

I don't want to make this about shinedown as a band more Brent for spotting it and stopping to get the person help in this nessage the fact he is famous has fuck all to do with things he seen someone in trouble and got them help I am not sure where that concert was but fair play to not just the band for stopping and getting help or thr people that did actually help but fair play to the Shinedown family that I love being apart of and doing as they had been told and creating a pathway and lit it up with phones you every person that helped no matter how big or small should ve very proud this is the real rock when we are all in this together and when one of us drops we all fuckin help even if it is 90,000 people or whatever they all did what they could even if it was just wishing him well by cheering for him.
Shinedown family is so wonderful 😭❤️ some of the people I'm closest to are people I've met through mutual love for the band. Generous, caring, open minded, understanding and respectful.

When I went to the live show in Indiana on 7-27-16 the lead singer really did that for a fan because I think the fan was diabetic and people were not listening to the person becauae they were trying to get to the right side of the baseball field by home plate and I believe if someone is in of help give them a hand and help get them to medical persons or ambulance or a staff person that is there at the concerts
This makes me love Brent even more.
I've seen them 16 times fam. This is the best band ever. His heart is heard in his music to do this is what bands with these crowds should do. Shinedown 7 is on its way. 💯👍🎶 I had a typo sue me 😂👌🎵
I’m a Rocker from as far back as a little girl, now 60. I’m pretty critical of even Rick bands of today. Shinedown, to me, is the epitome of a great band. Seeing and being aware of your fans is critical. They do it so well. May I add, in my humble opinion, Brent has the BEST VOICE IN ROCK TODAY!!

Wish other bands were as considerate I was bleeding and extremely dehydrated like hospital time apart from i tegused as i had 2 people with me celebrating my 1 year cancer free at a blink-182 concert if it wasn't for a total stranger picking me up and crowd surfing me out to medical I may have died I was in second row standing and nada love you guys thanks for caring about your fans like you do same with PATD.

Brent Smith is a class guy.
He stopped the show between songs in SF last week on the first stop on the new tour 1/26/22. Guess some dude was freaking out or fighting with people and they kicked him out. It was pretty ironic that the next song on the set list was "bully" perfect timing.

btw, I think this isn't a shinedown concert but a Smith&Myers concert, it's a side project of the singer (Smith) and the guitarist (Myers). I might be wrong though.
