You are right, I love Jethro Tull, Rush, Kansas, Deep Purple, Kansas, Foreigner, Saga, and though not progressive rock, Shinedown is right up there with the greatest, and better than some of the greatest. If they were around in the 70's they would be considered today one of the greatest rock bands of all time. I am so grateful they are around and have so much energy

Get up was my theme song and motivation during my cancer treatment. Saw you in Alaska during my treatment. Only song I could stand up for as I was so drained from chemo and radiation. This song made me make every treatment and now I’m clear. Thank you Shinedown.

I truly don't think I have followed a band with such depth as much as these guys ....MTB is the other, but I seem to be almost obsessed with their honesty and the most fierce strength they have as one to make sure the fans feel the exact same feeling as they are feeling the exact same time.... now that is a connection...
If people have not seen these guys play, they are awesome. My "bar" is how close to the album do they sound and these guys nail it! Great show, Great sound, worth it. I am very picky what concerts i go to and along with Rush and Kenny Chesney, these guys will get my ticket everytime.

I remember so many years ago when Shinedown 1st came out. the only stations I heard them on was a station down near Dayton Ohio and I heard that station only when I was visiting my then-boyfriend. It took a couple years later until Shinedown was even played up where I live in Northwestern Ohio. I'm glad to say that I was the first of the people that I know that heard of them and now I am not the last and I'm quite okay with that. I absolutely adore this band and I am beyond grateful that they blew up how they did because they are one band that 100 million percent deserves it. And thank you guys for coming to Toledo Ohio because I wasn't even going to get to go 2 the 104.7 birthday bash but I got to last minute. I was jamming so hard I had bruises on my hand LOL but I didn't give two craps. You guys are the best

I love you guys! Your work ethic and genuine passion comes across in your music and live shows. I also love your conscious choice to not curse onstage. I singled out Shinedown early on for my sons first concert when he was 8 and he was blown away. He’s been to other shows since even to see Iron Maiden but he always wants to know when you guys will be back through because “They are as awesome live as they are on their cd’s.”

Shinedown is by far the best band of recent times. The lyrics are real, the band is real. I saw them at Merriweather Post Pavillion a few years back and they killed it onstage. That is when I became a real fan. I will be seeing them again in 2019 in Estero, FL. Can't wait! Keep up the great songwriting. It is the by far the best songwriting in the industry.

I saw Shinedown for the first time at Aftershock this year and heard them play Get Up and it resonated with me and the things going on in my life right now and I ended up crying. It didn't help I was already emotional from the Vinnie Paul tribute earlier in the day but this song is really powerful. And since watching it performed live I swear I hear it everyday at least 8 times a day just on whatever radio station I'm listening to. Thank you guys for this song and for the absolutely amazing performance. Can't wait to catch another show.
