- Hey guys! This engine build is coming along really well. I'm really happy with the red and black powder coating. I made the prepreg carbon fiber covers myself. The whole process took a long time but I'm really pleased how with the final result. Can't wait to finally fire up the engine once I've fitted the weber carburettors. Make sure to keep an eye out for that video in future. Thanks for watching!
I have to say this is a really detailed vid on some of the more awkward jobs ,just doing 😊heads on my goldwing and was scratching my head on some of the manuals instructions
Thanks so much!
I’m glad you found the video useful
Good luck to your work 🏍️🛠️🤘
great job man! is the best informational video I've seen so far about a goldwing 👍🙏👏
Thanks so much, appreciate the support! 🏍🛠👍🏻
Amazing work! The first (and only) question that occurs to me is whether the hot oil, not only because of its temperature but also because of its solvent characteristics, does not attack the resin of the cured part! Or do you use some special resin such as vinyl ester or bisphenolic? Thank you so much for sharing these artworks with us!
Great question , I was wondering the same thing.
Yea, I saw that too and said NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO F'n Way ...... but some parts ya have to even from factory they do it. But the query lingers.........I figured bisphenolic, but with the no reply I am wondering. Gas does get into the oil and gas eats most RTV Sealants. And we won't even bother asking what the acids do to it.
Beautiful workmanship. Just about to start doing my GL1200 Brat bobber now that my GSF1200 engine restoration is done. Keep up the great work bud, love your work ethic 👌👍
Hey
Thank you so much means a lot!
I’m curious about your build, where can I find out more?
@@zrcarbon9937 it'll be on my Instagram when I start it. I'm literally so close to finishing up a money project then that's out of the workshop and I can start my next build. Have you managed to source some inlet manifold tubes for the carbs you've got up on Instagram? I'm buying the same set but haven't found that bit yet.
Cool man!
You can find the headers on Randakk’s website but they are pretty pricey or you can weld them up. I’ll be making my own header. Getting a milling machine soon. It will be made out of carbon fiber and aluminium. I’m so excited 😆
I can sell you a set when it’s done 😉
@@zrcarbon9937 sweet. I'm sure I'll see a video at some point. I may have to take you up on that offer 👍😎
Nice work
Amazing quality work
Thanks very much! 🏍🛠
I cleaned up and reused the original covers, budget constraints, carbon fibre looks awesome but polished alloy is pretty good.
Good one mate! 🤟
Great job ! Just curious you spinning those tappets. Why? then wipe it off.
Damn good work as always bro.I’m back in UK now,I’m getting in touch with a few of my buddy’s here to get going, will let you know soonish about the front end conversion, just doing the 10 day self isolation then back to doing thing.🛠🛠🛠👌🏻
Thanks man!
That’s so cool, where about will you be based?
It would be great meet up some time when this is over. No rush on the yoke stem. Cheers 👍
@@zrcarbon9937 hi bud yea I’m in bridgwater, somerset,we will definitely meet up after all this has cleared up.👍🏻👍🏻👌🏻🛠🛠
Hi bud,I’m now on Oxford, don’t know how close I am to you, somerset didn’t work out 😔 👍🏻
Vi los tres procesos que entretenido ése fue ése trabajó
Hey
Thanks for the compliment! 🛠️🤘
Nice work...looking at doing the radiator wings/shrouds in carbon fibre :-)
Hey man. Thanks!
No plans for that with this bike. I’m trying to build a muscle bike/race bike “cafe racer” style. Trying to make it look like light as possible but bulky looking.
But in the future maybe I’ll build a 1:1 carbon fiber goldwing. We’ll see 🙂
great job ,it looks beautfull but it looks like was had trouble gapping your valves
Thanks man! Yeah the rocker arm-valve gaps were really off.
Thanks for watching 🛠🤘
Hello, I forgot to put the o-ring (6:30) in my build, can you tell me what problem this will give?
Will I have one oil leak after a while?
Amazing build you are making !!
Hey!
Did you forget both rings?
I’ve never tried to run the bike without the orifice ring, so I can’t say what might happen.
I would redo it before you start it up for the first time.
Don’t worry, mistakes happen for us to learn in the future.
Thanks for the compliment. Good luck!
🏍🛠💪
Absolut spannend😮
You need to hold the adjuster screw in position with screwdriver while you loosen or tighten the lock nut. Be much easier than what you were doing 🙂
Thanks so much for your advice. Yeah I should of done that 🙂
thank you for the video
Thanks so much for watching!
That looks amazing!!!! How much for a set of those covers?
Thanks so much!
