COMPLETELY agree- MB era vocals are my favourite too… BUT do you not think the vocals on this song actually sound more 94-96? We were really getting a glimpse of where her voice was headed on this track, it’s weird because the production SCREAMS 92-93, but if I heard it acapella only I’d have put a lot of money on it being 94-96

It was released in 2020, as part of 'The Rarities' an album of unreleased songs, it was recorded in 1993 and probably a Music Box reject

Im really falling in love on how mariah is simply beautiful during the 1993-1996 era

Dreamlover and Hero are classics, but a lot of her lyrics from Music Box era were uninspired and cliché. This song is an example of that. "Emotions" had more depth, and "Daydream" has more creativity and soul. JMO.
