@@purplelove010 not quite. It's a specific sound meld into another that's why you have different pop eras. A pop induced heavily with hip hop like Destiny's Child pop or Rihanna, a rock induced pop like Kelly Clarkson or Avril Lavigne, an electronic sort of pop like Halsey (although she sometime says she doesn't sing pop but I don't see anything that fits her better or Mike Posner, Calvin Harris and Sia, you also had country induced pop like Taylor Swifys first 2 albums, then you have a more pure pop like 80s pop A-ha, Irene Cara, Olivia Newton John, sort of what Gaga tried to do a while back. Mariah does not consider herself a pop artist, she's said it many times. She doesn't even listen to pop music. Her most pop sounding album was her debut after that she ventured into jazz, gospel and soul for Emotions. Soul, RnB, ballads and a bit of electronic, house for Music Box (maybe her second poppiest album but it has really strong songs that pushes it farther even has a lot of blues infusions) Soul, RnB, Hip hop and gospel for Daydream and Butterfly is pure Hip hop, RnB and soul masterpiece after that she never looked back to even flirt with pop not even for The Chanteuse album which seemed like she was gonna after hip hop Triumphant failed, RnB Art of Letting go failed but got a positive response for Beautiful.

Something about the nasally tone I like. And I honestly think the fact that she was sick when this was recorded is why it was scrapped oof.

How do you know she had a cold? Did she put that in her memoir or something? I haven't read it yet. Otherwise she probably wasn't sick. People throw the fact she is sick around all the time as an excuse for her voice when it's not at its best.

Mariah herself recently said she has a lot of "rarities" and deep cuts still hidden to this day. I can't breath. First, i'm sure she has a lot of music video for a lot of songs from the glitter album. Maybe songs that never ended up on the glitter album as welll cause she said she wrote something like 40 songs for this album. 2021 is gonna be the 20 th birthday of this very 'specific album' so...... LET'S SEE !!!!!!!!!!
