Actually, “Without You" is a song written by Pete Ham and Tom Evans of British rock group Badfinger, and first released on their 1970 album No Dice. But we can’t contest her voice and talent. Mariah Carey version of the song was best and her voice was phenomenal.
You can find the Badfinger version here too. Nilsson version is for me, I can just feel his pain. Both writer committed suicide, which makes the song even more painful.

Growing up 80s and 90s when she first came out my mother had her tape and played it in the house and in the car. All the time! I was a little girl at that time. Now in my mid 30s listening to these songs, I can close my eyes and it brings my back to my childhood when I first heard them. I will always cherish those memories.....life sucks sometimes we can never go back to a wonderful memory, but I now play these songs for my child.
