that's why they call it a speedrun. this game is pretty easy once you get to know all the bosses patterns. my second time through i only died 20 times total. first time was almost ten times as much.

I just saw a video of someone damage boost through the dragonfly, actually there are a lot of time consuming enemies you can actually damage boost or jump through them with a well timed parry.
another great example for that trick would be the tripple canon sentry at Funfair Fever ^_^
Well the levels are made so that it's possible to do every single oue without firing a shot

That's the b part of a standard chord progression called "rythm changes" (because it originated from a George Gershwin song called I Got Rythm). You can hear it in almost everything from the Flinstones to Phineas and Ferb. And of course, a thousand jazz standards. I'm sure there are rythm changes playlists here in youtube.

No one’s gonna talk about the fact that this man already owns the DLC
Shouldn't you include the difficulty you played on..?
it's a 100% speedrun regardless of difficulty setting
well i mean its on the highest difficulty setting you can start on (the other option beeing "simple" which makes the game just far too simple by removing boss phases). The only one that is higher than the "regular" difficulty setting of the levels is "expert", however you only unlock that difficulty afterwards so it would basically require you to play through the entire game twice which would have essentially doubled the length of the speedrun ^_^
Expert speedruns could start with a cleared normal save, similar to how Dustforce any% all levels works.

but run and gun stages like treetop trouble have no difficulty setting though, only boss stages do 0_o

While the player has very decent talent, this video disappointed me immensely. I was expecting to see every filter and every level completed at level S.
Taric Alani with this being a speedrun, I think that heath and parry could be a problem, cause then you would need to be careful, and I dont think a speedrun is about that, is it?
Dank Corrin, that's not necessarily the case, as many other video games have speedruns with no damage, collect everything, etc.

Dank Corrin, yes, it is incredibly difficult, and I saw someone who was very talented and quite an accomplished speedrunner play against that bee boss for an hour until he beat her. That is not to diminish human ingenuity and what people can accomplish, including an all S grade speedrun with every filter.

So... 8-bit Ryan says, "It'll be fun to watch people speedrun this!" And So... The most awesome speedrun was commenced... But before he said it obviously...
I think you would've cut the time way more down if you had bought the roundabout and the Lobber and constantly switched between those two when fighting bosses.
but other than that, this was a pretty entertaining and fun speedrun.
oh yeah, thats the famous weapon swap technique that was discovered a couple of days after the games release which allows you to basically combine the dps of both equiped attacks and absolutely shred a boses health pool. Anyway as we didnt know about this technique back when i did the speedrun i wasnt able to utilize it (though considering its immense increase in dps the sppedrun could have been about 20 or more minutes shorter) ^_^.
