Hi there, you probably think this is Deja Vu but nah you're not crazy. This video has been reuploaded since I had to make some changes. So if you're subbed to me, sorry about the sudden notifications! If you aren't subbed to me, sub now for cool notifications like this!!
Bro you got no idea, Octopath 2 entered in my top 10 favorite games of all time. The graphic, the characters, the atmosphere, THE FREAKING MUSIC. You made god's work with this video, and I hope you will be able to convince someone else to check this one out. Amazing content, keep it up dude :)))))
Criminally underrated channel, found you through limbus video and your passion sold this game to me. And now your enthusiasm made me sit through entire video in one go. Definitely gonna try octopath traveler 2 today. Subscribed, keep it up man.
So legit feedback cause i forgot to say it 1) your humor is great 2) damn someone should hire you to make music videos 3) i think you have a bitnof a tendency to repeat points but otherwise amazing video
I am happy that i pushed myself to finish the 1st one before i started the second. There is no going back to the original after this game. Graphics/Storytelling/Settings/Atmosphere/Combat and everything else is done so well here, that the 1st game might as well be a Concept for this one. But i do understand why it would sell better if they went for a more traditional approach in terms of a JRPG. My biggest problem with this series, is the lack of meaningful end game content. Since the game allows you to start with any of the 8 protagonists, that means that a lot of time and effort has to go in to making 8 starting zones, and it's surrounding areas. It's very easy to start the game with a party of 4, do some exploring or low level extra dungeons, and get so far ahead in levels and gear(esp with the path actions), that the game becomes too easy to play. Then when you add some op items/accessories in to the mix, it becomes even more of a cakewalk. I understand that not everyone is the same, and some ppl will just enjoy the amaizng scenery and fun stories. But for me it's a huge waste of potential to have a fun combat system as this, and nowhere to use it to it's full. So i do hope that if they will ever create a 3rd game(which i really hope they do), it will have more end game content. Both in characters stories and end game.
The art style is certainly something, games don't need to have super photo realistic graphics to be good, the music is also really spot on and the story seems really interesting. I like stories where the native focuses on a small group because u can get more connected with them and this seems just like that. Ty for the review and take care!
Honestly I saw them celebrating 1 million copies sold and thought to myself: "damn the first game sold like 3 million why the heck is this not gaining traction when its better than the first one." And that I barely see any octopath content on my feed these days. So I decided that it would be funny if I made a video so that people will get reminded of this game and start making more memes out of it. So this review was made purely out of greed
Yeah the first one had a lot of issues both story and gameplay wise which the second seems to have dealt with and improved upon. The second game is infinitely better than the first one.
@@cipherrei In first one, the individual stories of the characters were gripping... but the main plotline was, in most lenient words, lacking - forgettable and missing coherency. This one.. i should try out.
@@JannetFenix there were very loose connections to the final boss those were done decently but some of them were very silly and the fight to the final boss had no build up or meaningful anything our playable characters become Silent protagonists which is very odd
This Is one of the best games this year. Still I'm not sure If Octopath 2 Is better than Xenoblade Chronicles 3 DLC.. after this i could Deicide the best JRPG 😂
ı dont agree with your title but i havent tried the second game so when i get my hands on it ill try for me the greatest JRPG mechanically is Epic battle fantasy 5 story wise this might win i doubt it though
@@cipherrei yeah I did finish the first game pirated it I just have to pirate it otherwise I’m never playing this it costs 600 for my country’s currency way too high

My thoughts exactly, its really unfortunate that enemies and game progression doesn't scale with your levels and gear

I basically know the barebones... :(

How can a game possibly fall into obscurity if its only been out for a year.

I faintly remember Octopath Traveller was somewhat a dissapointment t me... but the second one truly does look enticing.

Hey to each their own, just that I myself genuinely believe that its the best JRPG this year.

Hey couldn't hurt to try
