These wavy locks definitely look better with a side part, and please don't forget to use a heat protectant spray or balm before using the heating wand, especially if you plan to experiment with this look often, or you will end up seeing hair damage rather quickly. It's the kind of carefree look that suits summer and when on holiday (It looked great when you were on a boat in your IG). This is what my hair does on a hot, humid day, even within minutes of blowdrying it straight. I've learned to embrace it, especially on holidays when a mom gets the least amount of time to get herself ready. This hair style is reminiscent of the 1980's when that kind of wave-maker tool and 'perms' were very popular. Since you asked for our opinion, bottom line - fun style, side part, makes a nice change, use heat protectant spray. ❤
I was a model for hair stylists in NY in the 80's and got my first perm. It changed everything for my hair, which was very fine with little volume. I found that as my hair got longer and the perm loosened my hair looked amazing.
40 years later, for reasons I will never understand my hair has become naturally curly. Now I have long, silver curly hair, perm😂
@@elenalatici9568what I remember most from the 80’s are the space bangs, at least that’s what I called them. Bangs sticking out and upward with tons of gel and hair spray. If there was any hair spray left after sculpting our big hair. We all looked basically the same. So in ‘89 or ‘90 I had my stylist cut it all off and got my first pixie cut. Fun memories!
I think the Olaplex she uses after washing has built-in heat protection. I vaguely remember it from one of her other hair videos, but also my brain is a sieve.

I’ve literally ruined my hair with GHD hair straightener as I never used to use a heat protector. Noone was mentioning the importance. There was zero elasticity in my hair. Took me 2.5 years to grow it all back. My hairdresser forbid me using anything with heat plates.

I like it both ways, Andreea! I definitely love the side part and half-updo, but I also love your silky straight hair. Even if you don't wear your hair wavy all the time, it's nice for a change of pace or to fit whatever mood vibes on a particular day. Beachwaver also makes some great irons for creating waves. Gorgeous. I think the trick is to dry your hair straight before you do this - I have a similar tool and I usually tried it on air-dried hair and it looks terrible - a frizzy mess. You’ve motivated me to try it again, I love it.

On a side part…you remind me of when my mom gave me a perm in my 20s hahaha - I have similar hair to yours, fine, long, loads of it but it was 24x7 curls & volume out of control - how lovely to be able to have them when you want them and be able to wash them out! Thank You so much for the frenchy where to buy tips - moved here from Tx, USA 6 mos ago and cannot find Kevin Murphy Alpha Keratin shampoo or my fave food/plant based deep conditioners but am love-love-loving the french pharmacy supplements for skin/nails/hair! I lover this style on you. I also have very straight hair and nothing holds on me (curls, braid, any hairdo) and, even that I have a lot of density it doesn’t look voluminous. My face is oblong and I always heard that I really need volume to balance, so I need curls or THIS! I’ve been always afraid of those tools bc my thin hair, I think is even thiner than yours.

Hi Andrea, your hair looks amazing with this style. But let me give you a tip. I just saw this in another video where the girl did this style and she didn't curl the very top, so she started a little lower so there's not so much volume at the roots. Hope this helps.
