My outlook doesn't show the option to choose a browser, only the first option to open Office files in Office. Annoying!

Does anyone know how to stop my Outlook messages opening in a Chrome browser? This just started happening one week ago. I just want to open my Outlook messages in Outlook, not a web browser. Thanks

Hi, that is a weird issue. If you're using the Outlook desktop application and clicking on links to open messages or attachments in a web browser, it's possible that these links are opening in Chrome by default. You can try changing your default browser to a different one or troubleshoot Chrome's behavior with opening links.
Also, if you haven't already, go through all the Outlook settings. There may be somethings in there relating to your issue.

@@ReformedIT Thanks - yeah, I always get weird issues. Okay, I will change my default browser, but as far as I am aware it has always been Chrome, but it never did this before.

@@paulietv2162 If you still have that issue, you could try heading into your desktop settings (assuming you're using Windows) and find "default apps". Then scroll or search for Outlook. This then let's you select how files and potentially messages open.
If this still doesn't work, we would recommend trying Microsoft support

@@ReformedIT Many thanks for your help with this, much appreciated. Yes - using Windows 10. Just found out that my default browser is Duck Duck Go. Weird, but when I search on default apps by file type, protocol or app I can't find Outlook in there

@@paulietv2162 If you're unable to locate Outlook in your apps, maybe it's best to try and check default programs in Control Panel. If not, try reinstalling Outlook. Or again, attempt to contact Microsoft Support
