Low key this shits boppin idk what you’re saying about not using it, it’s probably one of the best fills I’ve heard in a long time. Keep up the good work!!
6:46 "All these f***in notes....BOOM...space...BOOM...1... so satisfying" That remark right there sums up everything of why I f*** with Brandon so much! Haha, you crack me up, dude. Great video as usual!
I was listening to an interview with Vinnie where he says that those things you study will come up in your playing 2-3 months later usually. I think that something pretty interesting could come out with this idea Brandon. Sweet, thanksss
Steve Smith said the same in an article years ago. It takes around 6 months for an idea to fluidly enter your playing without you having to force/think about it.
One thing is true, it's fun being in a drum line and it's even better when every one knows how to fuck around, there's nothing out there then being a drummer when it comes to having fun.
Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful drum fill. I'm Brazilian and your fan! Muito obrigado por compartilhar com seus seguidores essa linda frase. Sou brasileiro, e seu fã! 🇧🇷
THIS is premium content. You said it, we were all thinking it, but can we get some F'ing EQUALITY for the even stroke rolls?!?!?!?!? and Malf Taps?? I lost it bro, belly laughed on that one.
Great fill! If you are interested in checking out way more rudiments, I would suggest checking out Alan Dawson’s rudiment ritual! It’s a practice routine where you go through every rudiment through 70 different rudiments and it’s a killer workout!
Hey brandon what program are you using to create these fills ? I want to learn how to read and write notes so eventually i can write my own fills... thanks alot for these videos 👍
Sooo... 8 stroke roll? Just like a 6 with an extra diddle in the middle... Yep it alternates... And you can do a 12 by doing 5 diddles... And yea, I'm in to checking this out.
Technically there SHOULD be a 14 Stroke Roll - just add two more doubles to a 10 Stroke Roll and makes musical sense. I actually teach it to my students. Not sure if the PAS would be receptive to it though...
Brandon i LoVe your lessons! 🥁🎶 You do your research and make great graphics, so easy to understand, you play perfect and i really like the sound of your drumset and how you expose all your knowledge 😁 you’re a good teacher🤓 how much time do you invest producing a video like this one? Thanks ⏰
GabykzB thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed the video! I would say a video from start of filming to upload takes about 10-20 hours total depending on how long I feel like editing haha it takes a long time to edit... but I enjoy it!!
Almost every note and small combinations of notes would be made up of rudiments correct? I know some cats that all they play is prudiments... dude your video was great!
Laughing my ass off. What..no 8 sr. Impossible!! It doesnt make sense. Or does it?. Maybe the dude or dudette who decided whats valid was drunk as all get up. Maybe a needle under his/her toe and all they could hear was that train.
Low key this shits boppin idk what you’re saying about not using it, it’s probably one of the best fills I’ve heard in a long time. Keep up the good work!!
That's one happy Brandon right there.
Hey Brandon this is so fun for practice and play!! I like this approach instead of practice some boring rudiments on a pad! Saludos desde Chile!!

Welll.... Aaaaactually the 6-Stroke-Roll is an inverted Paradiddle-diddle. Let‘s say 8 1/2.
TheHellpoy haha all these rudiments are doubles, singles, and flams.
