    Love the fragrances in this dish. They give a complex aroma. I undercooked the chicken on high heat in first step (quick high sear to brown) because It would turn very dry with so much cooking time. Careful about cross contamination with raw chicken.Dedicate one hand for chicken so the other stays clean. Salt & pepper together Don’t touch frying pan handle with dirty raw chicken hands. Removed the peel off garlic in first step. Tastes fantastic.

      I agree with both of you! That is something I have never done or ever will, especially with chicken there's too much of a risk. I don't even use wood cutting boards to prepare chicken on, I have 2 plastic microban boards that I use for poultry, pork and beef, meat never touches my wooden board, the plastic can then go into the dishwasher and through a wash and sanitizing cycle.
      Maybe to some that might be stupid, but if you ever have food poisoning you might think differently 🤔

      Totally agree can't be to careful when handling raw chicken or raw meat. I never use a porous board to cut raw meat I use a large ceramic plate.I also wear food grade gloves when handling raw food. Anything in a separate containers like Salt, pepper, oil etc should NEVER be handled with unwashed hands, this is very dangerous causing cross contamination which could cause serious food poisoning.Good Hygiene is imperative when using raw meat. Food looks good.

    Heh -- looks like an Austrian recipe :). Cooking anything in butter, cream, onions, garlic and parsley is going to be great. My German wife introduced me to the use of nutmeg in sauces like this. Marvelous.
    When I make this, I'm going to add the single missing Austrian/German ingredient -- add bacon lardons (fatback also works) to the sauce along with the onions. Another tasty addition might be thinly-sliced mushrooms of some flavorful variety.

      I agree on the knife thing (dude will cut his thumb one day, guaranteed), but disagree completely on the onions. That isn't much onion at all in my opinion. Heck, I'd use more. But even more egregious is his lack of even the most basic of safety precautions in his handling of the raw chicken. Absolutely disgusting. Touching the chicken, then touching the salt spoon and pepper grinder back and forth. Eww eww eww eww eww. Not only super gross, but also a horrible role model to the public.

    I made this over gluten free fettucini and it was delicious. I did add a little more heavy cream and white wine in place of the water and it was so good and not too much liquid👍

      Хорошо было бы, если был текст и по русски, но видимо санкции докатились и до рецептов, приятного все аппетита!

    The butter garlic chicken that I watches before this one , looks good. What would you serve with it ?

    You burned the first batch of garlic....and why not remove the garlic skin...and wow, that was a lot of nutmeg...and why nutmeg? Yes, lots of questions.

    For extra flavor add thyme to that chicken cooking method in beginning and spoon juices over the the chicken as it cooks. (Always use the broth instead of water in that instance shown)
    You’re welcome.

    I always wonder why people don't put lids on pans more often while meat cooks. It cooks faster and keeps the moisture in

    • @kolortv
      @kolortv 2 года назад

      A lid creates a space that will steam the top of the things in the pan. Many times when you cook something in a frying pan you want at least one side of the cooked stuff to be dry. This is one example, and there are many more. Depending on what you want to do with what material. It's never as easy as saying "let's put a lid on and it will make what we cook more moist". Greetings!

    Whilst I loved the recipe, I was a bit horrified at touching the chicken and then touching other utensils without hand washing in between. We all know how much bacteria there is in raw chicken. Maybe I am too fussy, but could never do it this way. We are even advised not to wash our chicken first these days, or at least to clean our sinks thoroughly afterwards.

      That is not too fussy. That is seriously food safety 101 ( hell, that's more like food safety 001... It's so basic). How an adult person, especially one releasing popular videos on RUclips doesn't know such an absolute basic precaution blows my mind... It's really, really, really-really-really gross.
