    Thank you so much I got my guitar 2 days ago and this is my grandpas favorite song he passed but I’m supposed to go to his grave soon so I’ve been looking for something relatively easy to play for him

    So many great B&D songs, but I believe this is my favorite. Ronnie's voice with the lyrics are almost perfection.

    You do a phenomenal job of teaching but I think I’m done .I’ve been playing 2 x a day since mid October and I’m being real I’m getting worse and that’s the truth ! I just don’t get it but it’s frustrating ! Being a camp fire player is all I really want . I have no rhythm! I can’t even clap in beat when the lead singer says put your hands together ! You and all the others that do get this and have an ear please be thankful it’s a blessing and a gift ! Oh the final nail is I’m 54 on top of everything ( oh no ! )! Sorry to whine but I feel better !

      Man Rob that is so odd that you practice quite a bit and are getting worse. Frustrating for sure.. Email me and let's jump on Zoom and I'll see if I can give you any advice if you want. Rob@learnguitarfavorites.com

  • @alwaysdoingsomething1290
    @alwaysdoingsomething1290 2 года назад

    Hey question for you. When you say "replace" the 1st down strum with just picking the base note does that mean don't play the rest of the strings on the 1st down strum? If so my timing really stinks. I'm hoping you meant "accent the base note "and also strum the strings? I don't know if this is a timing or technique I need to learn. Thanks

    • @LearnGuitarFavorites
      @LearnGuitarFavorites  2 года назад +1

      Hi, It means I am just hitting the one string an no other strings there. So I'm really doing the strumming down motion, but only hitting one string but I keep the motion going like a strum. Hope that makes sense. You might practice it a bit more to see if you can get it. It's not necessary and accenting the note like you said works as well just to change up the sound a bit. Hope that answers your question!

    • @alwaysdoingsomething1290
      @alwaysdoingsomething1290 2 года назад

      @@LearnGuitarFavorites Shoot! I was hoping it was just accenting the sting. It's hard to do it like you said but I'm going to work on it for sure. I'm a new player and have so much to learn. thank you!

    • @LearnGuitarFavorites

    Seems like most country songs are played without a capo lol

  • @petewidows
    @petewidows Год назад +1

    Playing the cords is easy enough but getting used to doing the bass notes then the strum makes it harder
