In this video I am playing 30 songs that are great fun to play on an acoustic guitar. Real classics.
In my 12 years of teaching I know what kind of songs are well suited for learning purposes or just overall fun to play.
I'm not claiming these are the 30 best songs ever written. To be honest, some songs aren't my favorite by miles. But as a teacher and (hopefully) an inspiration, I want to have a wide palette of songs for you to enjoy! And for all songs goes; they are awesome to play on an acoustic guitar! - Хобби
How longs does this list have to be so that no one will complain I missed a song? *lifegoal*
Oh, and of course feel free to play these on any guitar you like Thanks all for watching
Paul Davids it will have to be a never ending live stream that spans your entire life. Even then, you'll still miss some.
Paul Davids just rename the video to „MY top 30 songs for acoustic guitar“ and no one will complain that you missed anything. you missed neon by john mayer btw. :) great video though
Paul Davids I demand a separate lesson for every single one of them. 😀 PLEASE!!!!!
Paul Davids Great job!!! Do watch my fingerstyle guitar cover-ruclips.net/video/iB_FGMXFBOM/видео.html
Paul Davids nothing else matters? (Metallica)😢
The fact that you're playing 30 songs in one scene without any mistakes is just underrated 🔥
Have you heard of editing?
Heart of gold was wrong..
@@SabrinaDacosta people are so naive/gullible. They believe everything they see
What a show off /s
There were a couple of mistakes, that fall into a guitarist's realm of "got away with that"'s, and "I meant to do that"'s
If you play a lot, you can point out inconsistencies... or just listen to great playing.
I'm not very good on guitar, but I once did a concert of 79 consecutive songs for family and friends. I played Wonderwall 48 times and Fast Car 31 times. The first 10 minutes went really well.
Why just the first 10 minute haha
@@Lea-wn9uf eventually it got boring I guess..(:
In the first half, I was like, 79 songs and "not very good"?! Lol
@@miratparmar6779 they had us on the first half ngl
😂😂😂😂😂😂
How you've played all these without bursting out a lyric I have no idea, that's a talent in itself
Can we take just a minute to appreciate how not only can Paul play these classics but more importantly capture the mood and emotion of them as well.
Exactly, it's something you either get or you don't, and he perfectly gets it.
Someone:“What can you play”
You: “Yes”
@Jean Neymar That guy is amazing too
I mean, yes was indeed a great band with amazing songs :P
😂😂😂
Yes by Roundabout ;)
I actually thought I might upgrade to this from my £80 Stagg SA20D. But that's way out of my budget...
"Hey dude I'm having a party, come over and bring your guitar" says everyone he knows.
sometimes it sucks, my friends do that to me when all i want to do is relax and have fun
" Play Wonderwall!! "

Love this, reminds me so very much of my husband that passed away, going on 3 yrs now. He was great, he had been playing since our teenage years and would of been 60 this past Nov. I just love hearing you play so very much bc I miss him so much. Thank you so very much sweeti. You played my song as well, Angie....💞👋🎶👋🎶👋🎶👋

This list, and your playing of it, was absolutely perfect.
This guy has everything. The beard, the style, the skills, the humor. One of the best musical content creators on RUclips. Keep it up man.
But especially the beard
..and the beard!
He needs a cutaway guitar for total mastery.
So true
Yeah but he sings like a cat in heat! Lol
My buddy plays guitar and he literally only plays the songs that were in this video. Now I know where he got his list from lol.
No joke, this is my first time watching this video and almost every song I play is in here
They are 100% the most commonly player acoustic songs. Everyone I know, including myself, learned these songs as they learned to play
Does he remember Wonderwall?
I'll take my chances one never knows 😂ruclips.net/video/FzxAqjsGwMk/видео.html

Probably Paul have just took an already made arrangements and played them himself ) But the tabs can be found elsewhere.
Superb playing- the fact you did all those back to back makes it more amazing
A true genuine guitar player player and a very inspiring musician as well as pleasant person.... love to see you Paul.
You make my day.... your guitar playing invokes smile on my face and heart.

This man is my taste of music, but beyond what I know so far. Its like cheating on time and finding out what I will like soon.
Hey Paul, I just started committing myself to learning and playing guitar again after +- 20 years. Your channel is inspiring me daily! Thank you!!!!!!!!! Love every one of the songs on this list... if you could do a tutorial of each on your new Paul Davids 2 Channel that would be fantastic - a great list to start with :)
You play so beautifully!!! What great respect you have for these songs to replicate them so masterfully, and how generous of you to share your gift here. We're in bitter temps here where we live and have resigned ourselves to the wood stove. lol! Now, listening to your music, we are twice warmed.
Jesus dude, the amount of skill you have is incredible to see.
Check out John Williams Asturias, mind blowing skill
I feel like I don’t deserve to own a guitar anymore
HighTopPeach same...
Practice practice practice! =)
But I hear yah! ...lol...
I had to watch this video to realize I was looking for all the wrong songs, I need to put it In my head that not every song I play needs to be complex and difficult.
I feel that way after watching Tommy Emmanuel.....But, don't give up!
I feel like I should have taken up ping pong or something instead of guitar :)
Paul One of the best videos I have ever seen on RUclips. I would love you to do another version with new songs. your set up sounds amazing keep rocking out dude
Dude - so glad I found this page!! You are awesome. Obviously massively talented, AND able to explain things in ways that a total beginner like me can understand. I've been wanting to learn to play for 10 years and kept giving up. Just inherited a Martin D16GT when my father died a few months ago. I think it's time I take this guitar and start learning for real. So overwhelming trying to figure out the best approach to learning. I want to understand the language of music-- notation and theory-- want to learn guitar and piano-- want to play favorite songs and someday write my own songs, as I am a poetry writer. Anyway. Glad I found this page.
Your house seems to be such a nice and relaxing place

I'm playing the guitar for 13 years now. Yet I have to admit I'm not anywhere near you when it comes to "clean playing". Not a single snarry string sound, that's ... a statement.
Also I'm glad you had "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" by LZ in your list. It's a must do for everyone on the acoustic guitar although I was wondering why you missed "Dust in the Wind" in such a list. But there are already enough guys complaining about missing songs here (how dare you not to cover all 2 billion acoustic songs on this planet in your list?!).
Keep it up mate.
Totally agree. I think I could play most of these songs and I already know a few but it's just way sloppier than him. I really praise clean playstyle.
I'm not saying practise does not matter, but guitar makes a huge difference in that case. On some guitars you cant even play single chord without strings buzzing
You guys didn't know? He used a software known as autocleaning.
It is very similar to auto tuning with the difference that when the sound gets to a minimal threshold of sound the software turns that little interference noise into absolute silence.
The software is intelligent too. It may correct bad fingerings and poor sound projection, making even real mediocre jerk guitar players into awesome ones.
If you want a software like this, let me assure you, I was kidding the entire time.
Paul plays awesome and let never be such a stupid thing that replaces human playing.
Good day mates!
@@robertocaesar you almost got me :P
Just be patient, man. I've been playing since I was 12 and I'm about to turn 41. Just this year I've made vast improvements on my clarity and I'm a much less sloppy player than I was last year. We all evolve at different rates.
Always blown away by your playing... It's just incredibly sweet and effortlessly wonderful... Although obviously a lot of effort has been spent to get that amazing skill and tone ❤️
Thank you so much for a comment that actually acknowledges Paul's hard work instead of putting it down to "talent".
Such a wonderful experience to hear these songs from your guitar.🙏
Who here thinks Paul Davids is awesome? Because most of the comments I'm seeing is just complaining or judging how he plays. Let me just say that he's amazing and anyone who says he isn't, just shut up. Speaking from experience what he is doing is done hard to do stuff, so keep up the good work man. 👏👏👏
Man I wished you were my instructor. I am a disabled veteran just starting out trying to teach myself. You're great i enjoy seeing what is possible.
Charles Young He offers an online course now. It seems very legitimate, and seeing the quality of his videos gives me faith his course is top notch. I would definitely check it out.
I started to learn how to play the guitar in May 2023. My guitar was made in 1984, the same year I was born. I prefer nylon strings, they aren´t that sharp, but they give me a warm feeling. You play it beautifully, your video motivated me a lot. My goal is to reach my 45 y.o birthday playing it quite well. Thank you!
I really enjoyed these. Your playing is dynamic and that Martin is unbelievable.
I love how he just embraces his mistakes and that makes his playing sound better it also makes a human aspect to it that’s just so much more fun to listen to
Me, who didn't notice any mistakes:
👁️👄👁️
I wist I could embrace my mistakes....
Yeah , sometime when the guitar sound too perfect it will not be the best to enjoy , the fret buzz , make the music sound 100 times better
@@Dr.Pepperdave it hurts a lot to carry on playing after a mistake but it makes you seem so much more confident
@@STEVENV0 So true. When the playing and the timing is so perfect, it loses the feel.

Gosh ikr, they prob want this guys throat

Hahaha good one
i could listen to you play for hours . and appreciate the work gone in to you videos and playing
This is the way an acoustic should be played. Firmly enough to allow the beautiful sound of the guitar to echo and ring out, but deftly enough to avoid buzzing. Just wonderful!
Just taking a second to appreciate how good that acoustic sounds, oh my god!
Hard to beat the sound of a d-42?
I have a guild d-55 , which I love to death . The 42 is warmer in respects ,!they all sound great .

I've been playing guitar for almost 10 years, I learned Fast Cars (terribly) within my first year, and it's still one of my favorites of all time. Such a beautiful melody
The Campfire it's a song every begginer guitarist should master. For how easy it is to play it's absolute masterpiece
The Campfire I started to learn it like 5 weeks ago and I can play it vgood now
Btw I’ve been playing around 5/6 years ;)
I started out with acoustic and got my first electric about a year ago, I thought I was gonna get hooked but no matter what I keep coming back to acoustic. somethin about it man
Man, I love your videos. I alwaysbseem to find them at thenend ofnthe day, 3/4's of the way through a bottlenofbwine , and I can just relax and jam out with you.
you bring joy, man. Keep on keepin' on
the background is surprisingly satisfying i love the look of the house!
Hurt - Johnny Cash
Blackbird - The Beatles
Trains - Porcupine Tree
Are some of my favourite acoustic guitar tracks..
I am so surprised that "Trains" appeared here and people actually know it. PT is really niche, which is a shame, cause they are easily on par with Radiohead when it comes to truly innovative music in the last 20 years.
I was just looking for some Guitar background music to help me concentrate on my work. And I ended up leaving everything and watching you playing!!!! I am in love.. literally :) well done!!
That “I see fire” was perfect!! Bravo!!
You know how to make me happy

Great mix of songs! Stoked to realize I could play three of them, and good motivation to learn some more. Awesome job Mr. Davids!
Gorgeous. & why I've been studying with Paul with his amazing Learning Courses. In addition to being a phenomenal Guitarist, he is equally a phenomenal Teacher!
The transition, the songs, just perfect Paul 👍🏾🔥
I’ve never had this experience before, but when he played “Sound of Silence” I just couldn’t help but to sing along
I wish you had played full versions of these Top 30 songs, like a concert. I'm amazed by the beauty of those melodies.
Your playing is so clean and accurate.
Good job!
Loved your choice of songs. Well done.
I love how I know all these songs, every time he switched to a different song the next would bring me different memories. Now I can listen to some of these songs that I had forgotten about.
I intend to learn all these songs!! These are great ones! Thanks for the list. Some of these songs I’ve heard so many times that I’ve gotten sick of them, but listening to them on an acoustic without pretentious lyrics make them sound so nice.
For me as a huge guitar fan Paul Davids' videos are really outstanding, on top of that he is incredibly likeable and humorous!
You are just amazing. To just play all those songs without one mistake. Your such an inspiration thank you
Everytime I’m discouraged when learning a song I come back here and immediately am filled with determination again. Thanks friend
0:31 that rhythm though...

That’s good clean simple editing, a good job :)
He had his hands on about $4k in those quick beats. Then grabbed a $6k guitar....am I jealous? Peerrrrhaps.
What's that song at the beginning what was he whistling
Wow! Great job and great list! I truly love every one of those songs.
Thank you for this video Paul David ❤
I was hoping to find one of those comments that list the songs and the times he plays them
