I will show you the easiest Rex Trap designs, and show you how to modify them to make this the best way to tame a Tyrannosaurus on Ark Survival Ascended. In case they patch this, I will show you another ASA Rex trap design to make it even easier to tame a Tyrannosaurus.

Good to see you back at it ASG! Did you do much testing over the previous few days? The pathfinding was avoiding all structures, but as of yesterday I think they reverted pathfinding to the old ASE system.

Hi Cap! It's great to see you! CONGRATULATIONS on 100K Subs!!! I actually started testing this yesterday, so it sounds like I may have caught it at just the right time after they updated the pathfinding. I had been planning some crazy ideas for Rex traps in case their AI pathfinding avoided structures, so I was surprised that this works, at least for now. If they change it again so the AI avoids structures, I will test out some of my more ridiculous ideas and make a new Rex trap guide if any of them work. I can't wait to see what you design too!

pretty solid video, I've been using dino gates and a behemoth gate for my trap so I can walk the dino out after it tames because Im big lazy and dont want to rebuild the trap after each tame

My only trouble with these kinds of traps…I don’t have all that time to set it up. I have to use the stone gateway method as it can be put down way faster. Any tips on that? Great video though and I like the idea of a funnel, never thought about it that way.

the devs realy should't mess with the traps players invent. Humans used traps to kill bigger creatures and it is a fun part of the game. If they patch it out - they remove a big chunk of fun for me.

No way to know for sure yet, but the ps5 store page compatibility page for it includes “vibration function and trigger effect required” for controller so it probably will
