I kind of think you’re talking yourself a bit down in this video… You were able to deadlift 100kg after what ? 6 months of training ? That is really impressive. I lift for 2 or 3 years now and I still can’t get the 100 up 👀😂 be proud of yourself in your early phases as well. You still made a lot of progress in the first months of training… that’s incredible!! Don’t be so hard on yourself when you look back!
I absolutely agree!! And even her muscle definition right when she began to workout is honestly extremely impressive. I think she naturally has more of a “athletic body type”, so her ability to to progress comes faster to majority of us. But she was also being hard on herself😭 I’m so proud of her & this is my first video of hers I’ve seen ❤️❤️❤️
Girl your progression os amazing. You sound like you are putting yourself down but your body changed dramatically from pic to pic and the rime fram was short. Slow and steady wins the race, not hard and fast. And don't forget it's so good for your mental health not just your body. Keep going angel x
This really gives me hope. I am at 4 months in my fitness journey. Sometimes it’s hard to see your progress in the moment . ❤ So proud of you and you’re such an inspiration.
This keeps me motivated. I'm on month 2 and some change. I've gotten over the hump of waking up early as a chore. Excited to stay constant and trust the process.
finally sat down and had time to watch the video. been following you for a while now and you've been inspiring me to start my gym journey (again). it's been 1 1/2 months since i signed up and i don't regret it at all. i've been feeling so much beter, physically and mentally. finally giving my body proper sleep and food, no restrictive behavior - just listening to what my body wants. going to the gym improved my mental health so much! getting up every morning, work out and then continue with my busy daily life - not feeling as stressed as i used to! it's so nice :) and having someone like you "with" me helps a lot! your positivity really affects me and i couldn't thank you more
I hope you know just how much I really deeply appreciate this video. I feel like I am currently at a very similar point where you were at the start of your journey, and I just feel like I'm ready to not be 'stuck' any more. Thank you so much Syd, your work has made such a huge impact on my life and mindset. I'm so grateful to you❤️
Seeing you on tiktok a few months ago really gave me the last push to sing up for a gym membership. I have been there for three months now and im absolutely loving it. Thankyou for being such an inspiration for me
you are a huge inspiration of mine!! just started going to the gym a couple of months ago and with people like you i've managed to build up my confidence a lot and made me feel like i belong !! thank u so much, have a great rest of the year
Syd, this was so inspiring! I am five months steady into my fitness journey, and have created a private insta account to keep track of my progress, but was iffy on making it public for others to see. You’ve inspired me to do it, to share with others my progress, and inspire them as you continue to inspire me. Thank you!!
I would LOVE for you to talk more about you stopping smoking. I recently did the same thing because I would go crazy after and eat every snack in sight and ironically it didn’t help me gain muscle at all and reducing smoking (I used to smoke daily but now it’s more like once every two weeks) has helped me stay on top of my nutrition more and I’m hoping it leads to more progress in the long run. I feel like no one talks about smoking + the gym!!! You also mentioned you followed a PPL program - did you build your own workouts based on what rep range you wanted to do that day and keep your exercises relatively the same? I would love to not have to pay for a program and make my plan on my own but I’m clueless (and I’ve been working out for sooo long don’t ask me how I know nothing 😥)
I know my goal results and "final results" I want is your starting body. But ya know everyone is on a different journey. You wanted to gain muscle and definition, and so do I but I mainly need to loose fat. But I figured its better to have all the muscle I can in the first place.
You seem to be such a sweetheart! I love the way you talk, idk why but it’s just so therapeutic 🥺 I think I followed you like a month ago on instagram and I subbed to your yt channel just today and I can already tell, I ain’t gonna unfollow you anytime soon! I love your journey and the way you talk about it. You’re so encouraging and honest! I wish we went to the same gym so we could become friends 😭😂
Thank you for sharing this. Follow you already on TT but happy to have found you here. I am at the beginning of my fitness journey so this is very inspiring and helpful.
You have made so many progress in such a short time! It's crazy! I started in February and I am exited to see what I can do in a year. I love youre video's!!! Big love from 🇧🇪
Collagen pills helped me in the begging with knee pain, I recommend it, until your body adapts I’m on my 5th month and the motivation is insane!! I’m excited to hit my one year mark
Hi Sydney! This is so inspiring, you've come a really long way in just such a short amount of time. You can be so incredibly proud of yourself :) Taking the necessary steps to better oneself mentally can be so, so hard and you have done it! ♥ I myself have been going to the gym (irregularly :D) for 6 years now and been powerlifting 4 of them. The last two and half years have been really hard for me though, career and strengthwise, with covid and all that jazz. But my partner and I rejoined a local gym again this october, after only lifting out of our home gym for the past two years, and it has been transformative all over again! My strength is finally going back up again and I feel so fit and just capable again. It is amazing. So following you on your journey and being able to see a little bit of your gym life has added to the experience of stepping back into a gym community. Thank you so much for sharing your journey :)
I never ever comment but gal, I'm very envious of your progress and I hope your super proud. Any advice surrounding a veggie diet? And any advice on how you got talking to people in the gym? Been going to the same one for 4 years and I guess I'm a bit shy or look unapproachable I dunno 😅
I started going to the gym in November 2021 too! My 1 year after photos are closer to your before photos tho 😂 I didn't have much to begin with. Thank you for sharing your journey!
I hate the fact that because of my mental health I can't manage to stay consistent and disiplined. I always find reasons not to go also because I'm really anxious and not really social, so I don't make friends there that could help me motivate myself to go regularily (not necesarily 3 times a week my schedule doesn't allow me, but still consistently). Do you have any advise on learning to not lay on my couch like a potato after class and close myself with my problems in front of Netflix ?
Sydney!! I think the descriptive word you're missing for your back is sexy! haha - your progress has been super motivating, and I've loved following you on tiktok. End of November marks month 1 for me, I hope to see results as good as yours in Nov 2023!!
Your muscle growth in the course of just a year is insane! Very inspiring!

3 years you still cannot dealift 2×bodyweight, something is wrong. what is your personal nutritional strategy?

Your gym journey with mental health sort of mirrors mine too. The gym saved my life, I’m myself again.
This really gives me hope. I am at 4 months in my fitness journey. Sometimes it’s hard to see your progress in the moment . ❤ So proud of you and you’re such an inspiration.
Keep going 🤎
I feel the same! Have you noticed much of a change yet?
This keeps me motivated. I'm on month 2 and some change. I've gotten over the hump of waking up early as a chore. Excited to stay constant and trust the process.
hi syd! you are such an inspiration. can you do a full week of workouts and walk us through what you do at the gym?
