Absolutely YES for the podcast idea. I listen to each YT episode of Italiano Automatico on Spotify (with no ads!) every day in the car to practice listening. There are episodes on grammar, culture, history, the course of study itself, and just life. Would love to be able to listen to you. No need to even do anything special or new for a podcast. You could just post these episodes there, just to start???
You have been helping me understand the Italian language for a while now. Im bilingual in Spanish and English. Knowing Spanish definitely helps. How ever I made progress and passed my own personal exam today while watching this video. I was able to close my eyes and totally understand your personal experience while you spoke in Italiano. Thanks for sharing your journey.
Honestly I took Italian at community college, just one semester, and I learned more from your videos than the course itself. If you don’t want to become an academic in Italian studies I think you could make such an impact as a community college professor. You’d certainly be more qualified than the guy who taught me. As I commented on your last video I also looked into becoming an Italian prof, and I really don’t think I could be an academic because I’m not interested in studying literature and dissecting it. I am more interested in the language as a means to connect with people, since my husband is Italian that was a big motivation for me. I think that’s why I would personally work at the community college level.
Spesso, il sentiero verso i tuoi sogni potrebbe essere un po’ storto, Tom, ma quando la musica dentro di sé non smetta di chiamarti, forse è tempo di seguirla. 👍🏼💙
When you started University they didn't have any Italian classes that were at your level of Italian but now they do? Is that because you're now taking graduate level Italian classes and before as an undergraduate you couldn't take those classes?

That's great 😊
The last time I watched your channel you still sounded ‘English’ but, wow, how this has changed! Sounding fully Italian to my ears 😊

After your MA, you should apply to the Italian Studies PhD Program at Yale, Tom!
