Great commentary. In other games it's nice to hear tabletalk and pickup what the players think, see, and feel. There wasn' t that much in this game, so the extra commentary from the hosts was great.

For any of those board game sponsors out there looking to have a player rep thier logo, why sponsor me? I'd love to go and try my skill at TM. I've never been. I financially need help to attend. Your logo can be on a hat, shirt, water bottle, and I work in your game catalog during gameplay in some way like, "engine building in TM is so fun, and I like the other maps too, which reminds me in...".

I hate that WSBG uses base game components a lot of time even when they are well known to be broken, and were already fixed in an expansion. Or just generally agreed upon having a better way to play the game with expansion components.
Like Wingspan should always be played with the Oceania boards, they are much better balanced.

A lot of us think the Oceania boards break the game. NEctar is overpowered and nerfs all regular food. I can't imagine wanting to use the Oceania boards competitively because we'd be fighting over nectar instead of working with decisions with the birdfeeder.

@Chris-tp2sc You can argue about that, but the base board is worse with it's op middle row and underpowered woods and waterside. You can use the Oceania board without using nectar.

I played the Oceania, felt like the nectar overpowered. The board also I felt not fix the base, but just give more reward. I like the original board more because streamlined and tight.

I think there is a basis for using the Oceania boards, but not use nectar. If they already institute a rule banning playing a Raven in round one, they can make the rule to use the Oceania boards, but not use Nectar. Seems pretty reasonable.
