- Play bird is not efficient at round 3-4, instead of laying egg or tucking engine. - Don't end the game with food - When to play birds for additional bonus cards - Prioritize powers different from your current row - Get your engine going quickly
Question: will an Activation power trigger another player's Pink power bird? Such as an activation power that lets you Lay an egg on another bird. Will that trigger a Pink Power which is activated when another player lays eggs?
I've watched a few Wingspan videos and I'm not fluent in nerdspeak and need a translator. Everyone speaks about an engine like you're supposed to know what the fuck that is. I guess if you've grown up in your mom's basement playing dnd your whole life you know what that is. Can I get a non virgin translation?
I can sympathize with where you're coming from but there's no need to be so rude about it. Terms like "engine" are extremely common in games as a whole. There's nothing "virgin" about it, it's just a helpful shorthand. In the context of Wingspan, your engine means a row of birds with strong brown powers that you intend to get numerous activations of over the course of the game. For example, a "tuck engine" is typically a row of birds on the bottom "Draw Bird Cards" row that have powers involving tucking cards from your hand to generate points. It is usually wise to focus on one or maybe two strong engine rows, rather than having a weaker engine in all three rows.

Thanks for helping me improve my game Jeff and Chris. My first year I just winged it and ended up with egg in my face 🐣.
Great puns! :D
To reply to tip number 2, if you have extra bird cards at the end of the game, is that also seen as a waste and not efficient?
Wheres the link to the commentated final????
I'm here to do better!

I believe no. Those pink powers activate when the other player takes the "Lay Eggs" action, indicated by placing the action cube on the Lay Eggs row.
@@espio1653you are correct
