This is made by Tristar. We owned two previous Tristar products, the Montel Williams Healthmaster and Jack La Lanne Juicer in which both ended up in landfill due to defects. Their customer service is the pits. Saw this at walmart and was tempted but ended up getting the Cosori Aeroblaze indoor grill instead and love it! Thank for your video, hope that it works out for you.
I bought this and returned it after the first grill use. The food was cooked to my liking. However the grill plate moves and you chase your food around trying to flip it… Also the wiggle in the lid was a HUGE turn off for me. I feel like it could be removable with no wiggle. Anywho, I returned like I said and purchased my Ninja foodie grill/fryer and ABSOLUTELY love it. Use it all the time and don’t have any complaints so far. Can’t wait for you to use it. 😋
I’ll be interested to see what you say about this device. I had two PowerXL items, the smokeless grill and the airfryer grill oven. Both went into the trash when I got the Ninja Foodie XL Airfryer Grill. The build quality of the Ninja Foodie is exponentially better than the PowerXL products. Plus when cooking with the PowerXL products, they both smoked excessively even though the grill was supposed to be smokeless, though the grill wasn’t nearly as bad as the oven. The other thing about both as they where excessively hard to clean. Finally, I broke the lid on the smokeless grill and couldn’t replace it. No support from PowerXL.
Well CJ not so sure I've had power XL products in the past and wasn't so happy until I was introduced to ninja an so far that's all I've used but want to be fair so will wait to see what you come up with thxs 😊
My son didn't know I already have two of the Ninja's & gave me the Power Smokeless Grill/Griddle(not the XL)for Christmas. I've not been disappointed in it at all! Runs super quiet/less preheating time and so much easier to clean up that the Ninja grills :( Interested to see the comparisons ahead. A lot less expensive too :) I do love my Ninja's too :) Thanks CJ, for showing this.
I just got the power XL. It heated fast. The rice cooked well Didn't know it had the glass lid to find a handy place to store. It cleaned easy, better than my basket.roomy inside. The dial is too sensitive.Having to remove the grill lid and finding a place to set it while simmering ect I liked how it cooked, have not done steak or fry.I like being able to bake. The cord is to short.planned on using it in a trailer,so the lids is the only bad thing.the box didn't show this lid problems User friendly though.
Interesting! I love my original ninja but I like the idea of that heating element on the bottom. It also looks like it weighs less. Looking forward to seeing you cook on this
I’ve had it now for over a year. I like it it has some features that I like yes the top is wobbly but he stays in. I love the fry feature because I like to fry wings not air fry I like to slow cook feature was not impressed with the grill feature for steaks, looking forward to see what you do with it
Costs less than the Smart XL 6 in 1 or the one lid XL Pressure Cooker (OL601) - I make rice in the OL601 under pressure (also air crisp baked potatoes using the OL601). I'm looking forward to your comparison of the PowerXL to the Smart XL 6 in 1 (gee - PowerXL does not have a probe, though I only use it for steaks or boneless pork chops & use the ThermoPro Instant Read on everything else).
Sorry to disappoint buddy, but I have my 6 in 1 to family. It’ll have to be the 5 in 1 or the 7 in 1 for now. At least until ninja comes out with the 8 in 1.
@@CookingWithCJ I checked the price of the PowerXL and it is much less expensive than the Ninja 5 in 1, 6 in 1, or 7 in 1. Looking forward to your comparison using whichever model Ninja you choose (you usually do wings for a first cook, right?)

Put the glass lid inside the air fryer upside down & then close the lid that it comes with for storage. 👍
Thanks!

Right on, thanks for the heads up. We’ll see how this plays out.
I am curious whether the air frying tray will scratch the bottom pan. I'm sure your tests will show us. Have fun with the comparison cooks😊👍
Thanks Bobbi! It’ll be interesting.

We’ll see how it goes. Thanks!
Nice video CJ 👍🏻
I had a Power XL Air Fryer for years and always very good and reliable. Absolutely nothing wrong with trying other brands.

Looking forward to a comparison video. I have this and hardly ever use it.

Thanks for watching. I'm not too thrilled with it, haven't tried to do anymore videos on it.

Definitely gotta do wings...but can't wait to see if it smokes and set off smoke alarm...I know that was some reviews on one of their air fryer grills
This will be a good LOOK AT CJ
Comparison Cook OFF , do something with noodles pls
My power Xl Air Fryer is not at all how I expected it to be, I think I ordered the wrong one, but it works good.
Right on
Did it come to figure out that it's wobbly because it comes off
looks nice, looking forward to some cooks ,
Ninja Foodie is so far superior. CJ Tell us what you think after using it?
Will do!
Is the lid supposed be lose
I wouldn’t think so.
It keep beeping Lid . How’s can I fix ?
I ended up giving it away. Might want to check with their customer service.
@@CookingWithCJ🤣🤣
I think you should do steaks and wings! :)
Still waiting for the showdown between the Ninja Foodies grills and the Power XL Grill Air Fryer Combo, CJ.
Honestly it’s not gonna happen. The power xl is crap, gonna get rid of it.
