Bro its very common to break down in tears when the Holy Spirit in you recognizes your disconnect from God. There is an emptiness in us that only Jesus Christ can fill. Your tear was the first drop of truth your body has spoken to you in a long time. Don't ignore it, God is calling you home. So what do I even mean? Get baptized and confirmed in the Catholic Church, and just like those crazy street preachers say "repent and be saved" go to confession and turn you life away from sin. Its crazy how without sin suffocating the Holy Spirit in you your life will transform dramatically. It's actually like being reborn.
