My pap passed away a few weeks ago from covid. We never got to say goodbye, since our area has a really bad outbreak. His favorite time was Christmas, but our family was never really wealthy enough for big presents. Instead, he'd pretend that everything was from Santa and keep us all in a great mood with jokes and hugs. Thank you for this video. I love the message- it doesnt take away the pain of loss, but helps me remember the amazing gifts he gave me in my 'box.' ❤

I sent this to everyone in my life that I love. Christmas time has always been very straining in my family. Most years we just fight till Christmas Eve, at which point we pretend nothing happened. This year my mom and I got into it, really bad. I said things I didn’t mean, things she’s not going to forget. But I quickly realized as I was watching this video that I’m like the dad. I always claim my childhood was horrible, but truth is, it just wasn’t perfect. My mom tried her hardest to make it the best it could be, and I just threw it back in her face. She did the best she could with a family that’s dysfunctional to it’s core. I need to stop throwing away her imaginary kisses before she’s not around to give them anymore. Thank you, David. This was beautiful.

This is the best video you've made in 2020. Made me genuinly cry and remember how depressed I was when my mother died due to fucking covid. I shouldn't have cried, i should have been happy that I have memories with her that made me cry.
Oh, please no! Don’t ever deprive yourself of the right to cry. Never apologize for feeling grief. It’s perfectly natural. My own Mom used to say that “Crying cleanses the soul.” She was right. I didn’t allow myself to cry when my Mom died of Pancreatic Cancer over two decades ago and it came back to haunt me (a year after she died) at the worst possible time. I’m so sorry you lost your mom, especially to COVID. But I hope that one day the stigma against crying will disappear. We must allow ourselves to grieve so that we can move past it and eventually find joy again.

I needed the time and presence of my parents growing up as they were NEVER there, not their money. They were never there to the point I am now socially anxious if I'm simply texting them (they live faraway and I'm a refugee here in Australia and haven't seen them for over 6 years), like they’re strangers to me. Even worse anxiety than when I’m with people… It's like I don't know how to have parents feels like.

Also, please could you make a video reviewing the public speaking ability of Stephen Fry (especially during his debate regarding the Catholic Church). I think this would be fantastic as everything you have done so far is nothing less that inspirational.
