The KF emerger is a a staple in my guide boxes on the San Juan and a tail water killer across the west. Quick and easy to tie, I know it will be come a favorite pattern for you wherever midges are about.

I usualy fish a red and black KF midge. Sometimes i add gink to the KF and fish it on top.

They’re discontinued as of this year sadly. TMC 2488 is what I’d recommend

Nice pattern . I see someone rubbing the bobbin holder on the nose after removing the thread spool, the oils on your skin lubes the bobbin, no more squeaky noises.
