Great idea turning it into it's own piece of furniture. The color choice is so pretty. When you first pulled out the legs, I was unsure about them, but once you put them on it was evident they were the right choice. Not everything has to have mcm legs or metal legs. ❤️
Who would believe how cheap this piece was? I can't get over how much better it looks with out the brass grid work on the doors and without the swirly embellishments. I really like the color you chose. I like the legs you chose and wow $30 for four 4"legs seems steep. You need to buy your hubby a lathe for his birthday so he can save you some money on furniture feet 😃
I loved how you brought this outdated unloved antique piece into a modern piece of work . That can be appreciated. The color is so pretty.. All though I love antiques when their taking care of this one was not ... You gave it new life and made it beautiful again. Great job 👏🏼 it looks amazing 😻, I especially loved the feet ☺️... You see potential in something that others don’t . I like that 🥰... Paint on !!!!!
Me gusto mucho como te quedo .yo tengo uno para pintar pero no me decidía por cual color y este neutral está precioso. Muchas gracias por tus videos eres muy talentosa👍🏻
🤗 yes! Someone mentioned that people truly don’t have the space for a full China cabinet and that makes total sense, never thought of that! Thanks for watching 🤗
I was hoping that you wouldn’t put those cross-cross things back in behind the glass! It looks fantastic the way you’ve done it. I wouldn’t have believed that it was the same piece!
Thank you! ❤️🤭 lol to be honest I thought about putting them back, and im so glad I didn't lol it looks so much more modern/sleek without em... Thanks for watching !
Wow....how beautiful.and elegant at the results....talk about a transformation 😊.... amazing Glenda....super pretty color too...you're definitely talented sweetie!!🤩🎨🖌️👍❣️
@@GlendaChavez it is exactly that..,I first saw a glimpse on Instagram....and To See how outdated It Started out looking like ...I mean WOW! Just Beautiful...the colors are so humble and just adds to the sleek glamour look
I have a 2 piece secretary that I have plans also to do it as 2 separate pieces. I bought legs for the hutch, and am removing the top molding for a modern look. I am still deciding on what color would be best for resale.
I love about everything you did. Great idea separating them. It looks beautiful. The only thing I am not a fan of is the flat finish. Furniture needs to look and feel more protected. Not saying it needs to be high gloss but look like a solid finish that can endure a good polish.
Very nice curio cabinet...wow you have excellent taste & creativity. I just can't get over how remarkable this piece looks. I don't have your gift, I have been looking for a buffet (for personal use) but only if it doesn't have the top thingy. Now I might get the whole unit and donate the top to a flipper. Well done Miss Glenda. ps I'm in Eugene Oregon so too far to commission you.
So cool, thank you for supporting all the way from Oregon!! ❤️ I find price range is about the same for both top and bottom vs just bottom, and then people who have just tops tend to give them for very cheap or free bc they don't know how to make them work in their space! (at least in my area) So generous of you to donate! Hope you find you a great piece!
I didn’t include it... I didn’t anyone would care to see it lol lesson learned ... the glass just slipped back into the insert and I placed the rubber sealer into the groove to keep in place ... thanks for watching ❤️🤗
Gorgeous!! And love the color! I’m dying to try Melange paints, I’ve heard so many great things about them and like that they are a small biz here in Texas (I’m in Dallas). I have a piece almost identical to this (it’s the top to my grandmother’s china cabinet). I made the bottom into a buffet for our dining room (first piece of furniture I ever painted 5yrs ago) and am doing the same to the top to sell. I’ve been on the fence re the feet (I have very similar ones saved on Amazon) and this helped a LOT to see them on it! So thank you!💜
I see these large scale cabinets for free all the time on marketplace. Making it smaller scale like this is a perfect way of using these lovelies. Do they sell in your area? Beautiful job.
Beautiful... one question. Do you sand? I only saw you sanding after the filler.. do you not sand after primer or after paint, before protective coating? Not even a 320/400?
Yes! According to their website, they claim you can. I saw someone on IG say they didn't even have to dilute it, but I don't know how I feel about that lol the paint is kind of thick in the jar, so if I ever spray it I will definitely be diluting it. 😊
could you have filled the light cord at the top? and move it to the back? It would have been very useful to see the entire top and have you stand by it to see how visible the top is and if there is anyway to work it so that it loses the "hutch" feel. Love the colors!
That piece is amazing as a stand alone display cabinet. Lovely color and it definitely applied smooth & self leveling. So nice!
Great idea turning it into it's own piece of furniture. The color choice is so pretty. When you first pulled out the legs, I was unsure about them, but once you put them on it was evident they were the right choice. Not everything has to have mcm legs or metal legs. ❤️

Impressive amount of work and attention to detail. Lovely color choice.
Thank you so much 😀❤️

Yes! it made all the difference its crazy! lol $30 sure is steep, it hurt a little to have to purchase them. I like your suggestion 🤭😀 hehe
beautiful! i would have never thought of seperating them and putting feet on the top! great idea.
Glad you liked it!❤️😊 yes and for some reason people end up with just tops and get rid of em! I've seen several on fbm for cheap!
Wow! That looks beautiful, great video and wonderful work.
Thank you so much ❤️❤️ I appreciate your kind words 🤗

You really knocked out of the park! Great color & love the clear glass a truly modern look.❤️

Woow. This is so unique!! I love it!!

Great idea it looks fab! Wondering about reinstalling of the glass, what did you use to hold them in and how?
I'm in awe as well. This truly came out amazing. I love it!! Now I will be keeping my eye out for a china cabinet like this.
Thank you!! ❤️It displays so well!
Let me know how it goes! I've seen quite of bit of hutch tops by themselves for sale on fbm for cheap!
Hi, there are a lot of free ones on marketplace. People are throwing them out too, because they are out of date, so they think.
Beautiful- I plan on doing this with my China cabinet.
Stunning. Paint color is beautiful.
Yes it is!!! 😍😍
Absolutely classy. I love it!
Thanks so much!❤️😊
Great job! Thank you for taking the time to share your work with us.

So glad the majority liked the idea of adding legs ❤️😀 Thanks for watching!
Wowzaa! How did you reinstall the glass on the doors? Either I missed it in the video or you didn't show it. I would've loved to see that!

Hi Glenda, I love your vision for this hutch. The paint sure looked like it was fun to used and it turned out very stylish! 🌷
Yes it was!!! I was truly impressed! It'd been a while since id used a brush vs spraying so im glad the paint was as smooth as it was ❤️❤️😊

Bonjour Glenda, what a nice flip! Perfect colours, I was wondering how many hours it took you for this project? T FS. Christine 🇨🇦
Thanks so much❤️,... roughly 6 hours, 😊
Beautiful... one question. Do you sand? I only saw you sanding after the filler.. do you not sand after primer or after paint, before protective coating? Not even a 320/400?
Thank you 🤗Yes! I scuff sanded prior to wood filler, after primer, between coats of paint, and between top coats. I used 320 and 220 ...
How did you take the top off? Wasn’t it connected? Thanks b
Love that color.
Great job transferring this china cabinet.
Thank you Melissa! Its still one of my favorites today, but she found a new home! 😊❤️
