Another rockin lesson, thanks Marty! This is a much easier and fun lesson than the one I was trying to learn from! And as always, to my fellow guitar players " may da Schwartz be witchu"
Your videos are awesome!!!!, I've been playing for three months, and literally everything I've learned on guitar is from you. You are a great teacher, and your channel has been a great help to me.
Marty,Your lessons are great. I love the way you break each measure down and repeat everything slowly while putting it all back together. You're my go-to guy for learning new songs.
been watching your videos for the past 6-7 years now. watching videos from then to now i must say youve aged like a wine my friend and yiur still giving the best lessons on youtube. much love from my end. i would have never taken the initiative to learn any songs if not for you my friend, so keep up the good work!
*+Joseph Dale* Joe, I don't know if Marty ever did or ever will do that video for you, but if you can forgive him for loving the sound of his own voice, this is an excellent and incredibly thorough video of Mr. Sam Deeks doing a Les Paul setup. I hope it helps, brother.
Marty, I am guessing that the positions you showed would be one of the 3 guitars but I have always played it using the barred D at the 7th fret. Also I have 3 other video's playing that way. I'm going to try and learn it your way too.
I f#%ing love this! Awesome Marty! I’m at a low level and this is like absolutely perfect, and perfectly explained, now I’m gonna drive my wife and kids nuts playing it over and over again😆🤜🏽
watching Gimme Three Steps you are getting me enthused again after 15 years of not playing. Any chance you can show the other lick on the 5th fret you couldn't put in this video? really enjoying your skill and patience on many others!
Hi Marty, thanks! I had the massive luck to see Skynyrd in 1974 in Leicester, England.....we went to see Golden Earring and Skynyrd were on the bill and blew them away! Good luck with hitting 250,000 subscribers before April!!!!
Very good guitar teacher and thanks for that I've been learning a lot of songs from you you're a good teacher like I said you take your time and let people know what you're doing
Mike O'Dwyer, many guitarists would point to these for sure, lately I have been listening to the Allman Brothers & especially Dickey Betts. Betts is much under rated.
hey marty greetings from UK. your lessons are awesome learnt so much from you.being a late starter on acoustic, picked my very first guitar up at 44.and been following you ever since.would love for you to do a tutorial on anything by the levellers. .the boatman, one way.really appreciate your teaching style..👍

I play Gimme Three Steps a completely different way. I gigged with Bob Burns founding drummer of Lynyrd Skynyrd for over 20 years in Atlanta. It is played a completely different way.... way up on the 7th fret. Bob told me over and over thats the way its played....he oughta know...he was there from the get go. Dave Fuller Anderson
Love love love your RUclips lessons. Bought the Mode video series from you yrs ago, but can't get into studying that while there's cool songs to learn. And as a result, my lead progress is NOT happening. How do I break this BAD HABIT??
Learned it down on the fifth doubling down and where you do that little lead RIP then up to proper A major thing. Anyway same notes no biggie did shape up some things as you always do brother. Keep on keeping on.

Hey i thought my momma only told me
Most people would play the D by sliding up the A to the 7th fret, but I do appreciate you slowing down the timing which most people don't do.
Another rockin lesson, thanks Marty! This is a much easier and fun lesson than the one I was trying to learn from! And as always, to my fellow guitar players " may da Schwartz be witchu"
