    🌱Ratio: 1cup lentils to 2 cups water
    🌱Heat: Low to Medium Heat
    🌱Spread thin for wraps
    🌱Leave thick for tacos
    🌱Lightly Oil your skillet between each wrap

    I also added spices: salt, onion powder, garlic powder, turmeric, paprika, nutritional yeast. When cooking the batter, I put vegan cheese shreds and spinach on top, immediately after pouring and tilting the frying pan, then fold and finish cooking - - it’s a vegan cheese spinach “omelette”.

    I just thought about this...the lentils are cooked enough in the skillet?
    And you are right. Your body & feelings will tell you what it needs. And only eat when you're truly hungry. It's amazing.

    Yes, brilliant! 😀 I added onion salt & sea salt (total 1tsp) plus 1/2tsp kashmiri chili pepper. Brushed the pan with ghee & had 3 flatbreads topped with with rajma (Suhana style seasoning - which is lamentably unavailable in Canada now 🤕). It was downright scrumptious! Thank you so much! 🙋

    I did it with normal brown lentils and didnt like the taste so i added salt and black pepper, garlic powder to the batter anf tasted better. Next time ill try the red lentils

    Tried same recipe from another RUclipsr … didn’t like at all. Even added seasoning.
    Was hoping for an Indian flatbread or Naan texture/taste/feel.
    I guess I’m out of luck with flourless (wheat) bread.

    Wonderful! But lentils release a toxic substance when soaked so you should discard the soaking water and replace with fresh.

    I have made the these before with other's people recipes. But I really understand it better from your demo. you can freeze the ɓatter as well it makes great pancakes.😅

    I saw so many shorts and whatnot and none gave me what I was looking for! Thank you. I accidentally cooked mine after soaking the first time😅 and we’ll I tried to fry them and they just were like mush. There was no way around it. I even added whole grain flour and nothing.
    So started over and I’m hoping they definitely come out as intended this time. (They’re currently soaking. I may come back to edit my comment).

    OK, I must be doing something wrong! Mine came out to be a mushy mess. I followed the directions specifically. I even switched pans to see if that was the problem. It's like they need a binder or something but it was not too liquidy. It just didn't stay together. The pancake stays together and I think it's because of the egg. This did not stay together, it swirled around the pan beautifully cooked around The edges beautifully but the center even when it was cooked all the way through would not stay together when I flipped it. I was very very careful. Please suggest what I might do differently. Thank you so much for your help.

      Red lentils are just easier and more pliable. Brown lentils will be more coarse but it can work as well.

    These taste amazing. I add salt to the mix because the lentils have an aftertaste that I don’t like. The salt kills that and makes the bread neutral tasting.

      The possibilities are endless though! Probably grilled veggies or falafel…fresh lettuce and tomatoes…avocados…Literally anything sweet or savory goes well with these wraps!

    "Tacos" are a dish - tortillas are an ingredient to make a taco - you made an alternative to the tortilla... Great job though!!!

    Thank you for this video on the red lentil soft taco/wrap. You make it look easier and it seems to be. Hopefully I I can do it and flip them. Instead of coconut oil can I use a small amount olive oil for each to cook? How long will they last in the freezer? How long in refrigerator if we don’t freeze them? Also will parchment paper work well in between them if no wax paper?

    They are great but PLEASE add a little seasoning to the batter! Salt and pepper at least, maybe onion or garlic salt, or celery salt.

      Hi… Refrigerator or Freezer is best. I usually store them in a Ziplock bag. I warm them up in an oven or toaster oven.
