Exactly. Charlie obviously doesn't really know what hes talking about when it comes to addiction. Like everyone else he views masturbation and pornography as a good thing when in reality it's very unhealthy and addictive. Therapy is definitely recommended for this and it's good that this guy went

Gotta give the guy props, he knew what to say in that interview. I mean, probably shouldn't have been in an interview, but he was _ready._ Smooth as the juice he squeezed.
It sounds like Charlie doesn't know what therapy is used for? It's not just to treat depression or trauma, and it definitely is not just for victims. Changing one's behavior absolutely falls under the purview of therapy, especially behavior like this.
Yeah usually I don’t she any qualms with this guy that this time I had to be like you don’t have to be a victim to go to therapy, he might just want to see how he can change his behavior
Modern psychiatric care instills a victimhood and learned helplessness complex that does more harm than good. I was in therapy for 6 years. All I ever learned was what shitty, ineffective meds were needed to fuel the industry’s pockets.
@@charlieorr3048 I think there is a benefit to being able to gain an outer perspective on situation if you don't have anyone in your life to talk about the things with, but I agree with you. Psilocybin mushrooms are the greatest source of therapy and growth in my life.

I honestly don't know why Charlie is confused on why he took therapy Imagine showing your friends and coworkers your shmeat and having it be on the news mortifying shit
It’s because toobin thought the camera was off and it was during a break in the meeting. Charlie doesn’t doesn’t think he needed it because he’s not the victim. But yeah maybe there’s a sex addiction thing to talk through and he might also need therapy to deal with the repercussions of his actions too. He seems to have handled it okay though.
even if you aren't the "victim", therapy is still needed in many cases. someone who hurts other people needs therapy too to try and get the help they need.
you mean it's every morons worst nightmare. also, I have zero sympathy for creeps that j/o in the middle of their workday. these are the same dudes that j/o in their office at work and get creepy with females at their job. obvious life lesson: do private things in private during private times. don't do private things in front of a camera in the middle of your workday.

If he's telling the truth then I do feel bad for him, I thought there'd be more sympathy here for him. I feel like if he didn't work for a pretty universally hated company then people wouldn't be as hard on him, although I know nothing about the guy
@@michaelwilkins1664 sharing the same thoughts. The woman definitely gave off "I want you to be fired, but since I dont have that power, I'll tell everyone about it live" -vibes aswell
He would get therapy not because he’s the victim, but to correct whatever would make him feel it was appropriate to jerk it in the zoom call. You don’t need to have trauma to get therapy, you could be the perpetrator and get therapy to understand why you did what you did and prevent you from doing it again.
Yeah just because you’re not a victim of something doesn’t mean you don’t need therapy. People still go through shit and have problems that they want to fix. I’m not necessarily a victim of anything yet I still go to therapy because I have self control issues and anxiety. It hurts to hear from people that I don’t need it because I wasn’t raped, injured, experienced trauma, or a victim. I still have problems and I still need therapy even though on the outside I seem fine. Just because someone seems okay doesn’t mean that they actually are okay and making assumptions that someone doesn’t need therapy because “ he wasn’t the victim” is not okay.
@@haydengray8844 It was honestly such a stupid comment by him. Please don't take it seriously. Going to therapy means trying to get rid of unwanted behaviour and replacing it with good behaviour. He does not get to dictate who deserves therapy and who doesn't. If you want to work on yourself, you deserve therapy.
Charlie seems to think therapy is only for people who are victims, and I just want to point out that's not how it works. There's all sorts of levels to therapy. People who have an attraction to children they don't want to act on go to therapy. People go to therapy for anger issues. This guy went to therapy so they could work on whatever is in him made him do this stupid shit.
@@lwo7736 It's not like I'm bashing the man I just wanted to point out the misconception. God forbid I make a reasonable respectful criticism of someone I enjoy.

Gold. Between the crazy situation, the even crazier composure of this guy while being interviewed about it, and Charlie's commentary, this is actually one of the funniest videos I've seen in a long time
So , I'm not gonna argue firing someone for masturbating in a company meeting. Regardless if it was Accidental or not HOWEVER I feel like then having the man be ridiculed for it on live television is definitely crossing a line somewhere. This should have remained a private matter between him and his employer.
There’s something really disturbingly ritualistic about that whole interview. Like it’s the sort of public shaming that the sorts of communities that did stuff like burning “witches” would do for a mild crime or sexual “deviancy”.
I'd like to shine some light on 3:30 yes there was an element of danger that he knew about, yes it likely turned him on, and yes the action itself is deplorable and disgusting. It is very likely he is going to therapy to retrain himself to control the sexual urges. You don't have to be a victim to get therapy, you just need to be someone who is trying to better them self from a mental standpoint. I am not going to defend him, but choking the chicken during a business "meating" is very obviously NOT behavior of someone who is mentally stable, and therapy is the only real way of attempting to fix it.
"OK, OK, Jeff. I'll give you your job back on TWO conditions. 1) you go to therapy, that was messed up 2) *giggle* you gotta go on CNN and get interviewed about it"
My dad and I both know who this guy is, so when it happened we laughed so hard about it. Then one day, he just appears on CNN like nothing happened and he's been working there ever since. I have no idea why they would bring him to the table, except that maybe he's willing to be a stereotypical talking head for them for like, a seriously low amount of money. Or perhaps, they respect him more for asserting dominance over his lesser co-workers.
Charles saying why is he getting therapy grinds my gears. Of course he would get therapy so he can figure out why he did that and how he can not do that again
If he’s telling the truth he didn’t do it on purpose lmao.he wasn’t an intentional sex offender he was just stupid and doesn’t know how to turn off his camera
4:10 kind of a weird way to thunk of therapy. If he has issues he should consult a therapist to fix those issues. Charlie is a cool guy, but he's beyond ignorant when he speaks about almost everything.
I agree. Sorry.. thunk is a word, but not the past tense of thought. But I agree with you on the first part. It is deviant behavior, and he definitely needs therapy.
Therapy isn't just for victims. Therapy also helps offenders/criminals to stop whatever they do. Pedos need lots of therapy (and they never get it until they've been required by law because they'd be too scared too) as well as theifs, murders, and exhibitionists. What you said about the thrill is probably true, which means he needs help to stop that kind of behavior. And in this case, being outed and humiliated like this will take a heavy toll on someone's mental health. Also yes, stuff like this is often leaked. Not on XVidoes (because that site sucks and no one uses it). But on XHamster mostly. Their was a similar situation with the Ex-Minster of Congo (Enock Ruberangabo Sebineza) who jerked off on cam (not durring a meeting but on the gov property). Not going to openly say how to find it, but the full video is on there.
It should be more normalized for predators/ criminals to get therapy. Pedos get turned away, and reported by therapists even when they are genuinely trying to seek help.
Yeah that was a weird point from Charlie IMO, there's no prerequisite for therapy. I'd imagine losing your livelihood and getting humuliated over this stupid and awful behavior must be hard on mental health. You'd get therapy to find how to move on in life and stop such behavior.
@TheHolyDiver People get some sort of thrill from just saying pedos need to die the slowest death possible, even if they've never touched a kid. Whenever I see pedos being caught with cp I always feel like they need help, not just punishment. Real punishment should be left for pedos who act on their mental illness. A mental illness isn't an excuse to hurt other people.
I’ve never once worried about forgetting to put my genitals away after using the bathroom. I can’t even imagine the state of mind I’d need to be in to make such a mistake
The reason why he needed therapy is because therapy helps you understand your own thinking. If he can understand why he did something as dumb as what he did, it'll reduce the likelihood of doing it again. Also, bringing him back to work and publicly shaming on TV was a great punishment. 🤣
Therapy is also for dealing with Trauma and, I can imagine, being caught masturbating by your co workers would be extremely traumatic. Yes he’s not the “victim” but that doesn’t make him immune to the trauma of being caught with his rod out in front of people he’s known and built a professional relationship with.
@@jamesmason7979 everyone will know him as the guy who masturbated at a meeting, no one will be able to take him seriously anymore, he probably even has some arguments in the family now, he might not even be able to change jobs jn that country due to them making this public for no reason
That must have been hard on him... what a heavy load to bear. Hope he's relieved of this pressure soon, he must be ready to blow. Really though, what a sticky situation.
Hey Charlie, not trying to be mean or anything but I would just like to point out that therapy isn’t exclusive for victims of unfortunate or abusive circumstances. I don’t think you were saying that exactly, but it just seemed like it could come across like that to me. No hate intended
4:00 that’s exactly it Charlie. He’s a bad person. So he needs therapy to help him not be. I think you misunderstand therapy, pretty much anyone can benefit from it, and someone with a clear problem like this guy needs it.

4:05 You’re acting like only victims need therapy. People do shit like this because they had some problems before and didn’t get therapy early enough.
Exactly!
