Clear and concise video on GPCR! Your mnemonics are very helpful for long term use past the Boreds - ie useful on Rounds too! Thanks so much. I hope you are at a Teaching Hospital and Medical students are able to benefit from your knowledge and expertise at explaining that knowledge to others. God Bless you! I’m a retired physician and we didn’t know much of what we now know in terms of molecular biology and it’s applications to clinical medicine. But Med school taught me how to learn and so I continue to learn! Thanks for being a part of another physician’s education. You are fulfilling the Oath! Thank you. God Bless!
YOU ARE MY HERO! I am finishing my 3rd week of med school and we got taught 5 of these types of pathways in less than 2 hours. That did NOT stick in my brain. This video was great, now I am going to see if you have one on MAPK, PI3K/Akt, and Wnt/B-catenin!
This is the clearest, easiest and most detail-oriented explanation for this topic. I literally stood up from my sit to give a standing ovation 'cause that's the least I could do! 🙌
I barely comment on videos , But this video is hands down one of the best ! short , concise, and straight to the damn point ! THANK YOU FOR MAKING LIFE EASY !
I am honestly grateful for this video. I've watched so many others on this same topic, but this one was by far the BEST. I finally understand this topic!!
GPCRs are found in yeast, choanoflagellates, and animals. Ligands that bind and activate GPCRs include light-sensitive compounds, odors, pheromones, hormones, and neurotransmitters, and range from small molecules, peptides to large proteins.
Sorry to be off topic but does someone know of a trick to log back into an instagram account? I was dumb forgot my account password. I would love any assistance you can offer me.
@Davian Jaden Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm in the hacking process atm. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Thanks for a great video. These videos are huge yield. However, I'd like to ask; I keep hearing in videos on G-protein coupled receptors that upon ligand binding, the GDP gets 'replaced' by GTP. Is this the correct way to phrase this step or would it be more correct to say that the GDP gets phosphorylated to GTP? Thanks.
+Bjarni J - What's up dude! Great question! GDP is exchanged or replaced by GTP. It is not phosphorylated. There is a lot more GTP inside a cell than GDP, thus the exchange is favored.
Amazing explanation , but i have checked the channel , there are very less videos , hope to get more about all other receptor . GABA ,D , H , ...etc , as well as the Mechanism . Once we understand all the receptors , the later will be easy to remember all the medication uses and side effects
Quick question--at 14:53, for the HAVe1M&M mnemonic, should the alpha receptor be listed as alpha1, rather than alpha 3? Thanks again for making these!
Good work with the explanation, it cleared my concept but it would have been better if you had helped us in memorising the physiologic functions of each one as well, I find that pretty tough !
The best lecture on GPR, period.
Amen bruv
Please do more videos sir.. ur video s amazing...............🙏😇🙏😇😇🙏
Hands down bro.

THANK YOU FOR MAKING LIFE EASY !
That was AWESOME! In less than 20 mins you managed to deliver the information that our doctors fail to deliver in a 2 hrs lecture! THANK YOU!
I think it's helpful to note that the separation of the beta/gamma complex increases the alpha's affinity for GTP... perhaps helpful to me at least :[
Thanks sir it help me alot in building my understanding on signal transduction
The way u explain n mnemonics was outstanding.
Detailed, clear, and definitely easy to understand!! Thank you!!! Can you please make a video on action potential?
Wow, just finished. This was insanely high yield and informative.
This video just made my life way easier. The best I came across.!! Thank you so much.
I am honestly grateful for this video. I've watched so many others on this same topic, but this one was by far the BEST. I finally understand this topic!!
Thank you! I now understand G-receptors like never before :)
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This video is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G !!! The mnemonics wowwwwwwwwwwww
+Ana Carolina Macarenco - Haha! Thanks!
Wooow, I missed lectures on receptors and you just nailed it for me. Keep it up.......
Love the mnemonics most........
OMG BEST VIDEO ON YOU TUBE!!!! HANDS DOWN!!! WOOW I TOTALLY GET THIS CONCEPT! GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR TALENT!
Best ever lecture. ......thank you for teaching us in easy way and may god bless you a lot and lots....
Outstanding video! Those mnemonics are great :-) Thank you so much!!!!!
Thank you for this lesson, keep making much more like this!!!

@Davian Jaden it worked and I actually got access to my account again. Im so happy!
Thank you so much you saved my account :D
@Jase Zayden no problem :)
its awesome for the very first time im very much clear about signaling mechanism...thank u thank u so much.
Please make more videos! You're an AMAZING teacher!
Awesome. I hope you are enjoying your residency and whatever comes next. thank you for the tips
Best GPCR vid I've come across.
God!!! This video makes so much sense. I think I'm gonna love pharmacology now thanks to you Dr.Joel
Excellent as usual! Thanks so much! Your videos are fantastic.
I am reviewing for my Medical Board examination this September and your videos helped me a lot. This and other vids are amazingggg! ❤️
Thank you so much I'm here literally 30-minutes before the exam and this was very helpful 🙏🏻
Thank you for your awesome video. I am a total Gs receptor for your stimulating videos. 😊😊🍀🍀
Thank you Dr, these process becomes very clear to me.
your videos are so helpful!
thank you so much!!
THANK YOU!! That helped a lot! I understand the thing now. Thank you very much and good luck with your residency...
The best lecture ever.... please make more videos Thank you
woooow thank you sir i`ve just mastered signal transduction because of this video wooow !!

its really amazing.........................highly useful ...............the way you designed the video make me more interesting
your video is the best so far. you are genius
Quick question--at 14:53, for the HAVe1M&M mnemonic, should the alpha receptor be listed as alpha1, rather than alpha 3?
Thanks again for making these!
I think instead of alpha 3 is alpha 1, I haven't heard about alpha 3 receptor yet :(.
+Jenifer Zabala - Yeah, if I said alpha 3, it's a mistake. As soon as I get some time, I'll fix it. Thanks! You guys are amazing!
Thanks alot sir its very helpful than 3-4hrs lectures
no words to say..I finally understand something in chemistry thx
Really Thank you
👌 liked the video
U made the lesson mr easier 👌
Thankyou... thanks a lot Mr.Joe Love from India🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳

Wow , it’s sooooo amazing video, I really enjoyed with it 😍😻🇸🇦
Thanks a lot it really helped:) good luck
You're a Genius, no doubt on that.. Great job Doc👍👍👍👍👍
What would be an example of cellular responses in G- protein linked receptors? Thank you for an amazing video!
I fucking loved your explanation, especially at: 11:13 "whooooot thats a big name !" lol
You really are great! Thanks!
Omg its really helpful lecture for me thank you so much sir 🙏☺ from India 🇮🇳 assam.
You're a life saver!
Hey Dr J, any videos from you regarding RTK+secondary messenger pathways?
links were mentioned, i dont see them?
this very vedio ,clarifies all my doubt on G- proteins....
Thank you very good video.
What a Lec, well done Doc.
Good work with the explanation, it cleared my concept but it would have been better if you had helped us in memorising the physiologic functions of each one as well, I find that pretty tough !
THANKS A LOT.
Hi, in 14:54 shouldn't it be an alpha 1 receptor rather than 3?
thanks for being awesome like usual
+drumaboy200 - You're welcome dude!
Great explanation....thank you.
Really helpful
Best lecture ever THANX 😊
Great vid overall pointing out the high yield info just a minor note though @14:47 for the Gq mneumonic it says alpha 3 instead of alpha 1 :)
Sir you are the best.
The best lecture
thank you sir ..great
thank you very much now fully understand may God bless you
YOU'RE AMAZING THANK YOU
thank youuu!!! u saved me doctor
😍awesome
VERY NICE COOL VEDIO
THANKS
AND THANKS
AND THANKS
impressive!!!
thank you, great video
inrcedible, thank you so much.
Tnk you for making this video, this helps me a lot , especially the mnemonics, Tnk God I found this T-T..
Awesome 😊. Thank you.
Thanks a lot
Thank you.
14:47, under "Gq", there is a typo, it should be alpha 1, not 3.
Great video by the way, thank you so much!
+Vasthie509 - Thanks so much for pointing that out! You're awesome!
Thank you good mnemonics
Fantastic Video
Wowww this video is fantastic
enzyme linked receptors, and ion exchange receptor?did you share that?
