I really appreciate y'all being so candid. I used to be a Dave listener but eventually came around to realizing the toxicity of it all. The comment about the OSHA thing and how "it could have just been the kitchen staff" did make me take a deep breath though. I know that's not how your guest meant it, but goes to show how deeply that upper middle class mentality is ingrained in us. I was a nurse on my hospital's COVID unit during the height of the pandemic. One of the things that hit us really hard was when the majority of our housekeeping staff refused to set foot in even the hallways of our unit and we nurses had to do their jobs in addition to ours. I don't blame them one bit. I wouldn't have risked my life like that either for minimum wage. It gave me a whole new appreciation for our lower paid workers. One that management never developed because they had the luxury of hiding in their offices or working from home.

I appreciate your comment, Cara. I think the "kitchen staff" comment might have been stated that way because it's a different company that staffs that. It's not Ramsey. It's contracted out.

@suburban_utopia Agreed. I believe those in hospital administration/management should be required to work one shift as a patient care tech every month to properly serve and lead a hospital.

Thanks for watching. P.S. My husband is a fan of Diet Baja Blast. I think it looks like coolant. Hahaha!

I found this to be vague and way too long winded for no more information than this provided .

😂 that's cause they have nothing to offer. They probably sucked at their job and got fired.

One honest question I have is why people even apply at Ramsey, verses corporate America.
    In corporate America, you generally:
-Get better pay, both in terms of salary and benefits.
-Are allowed to live your personal life without facing repercussion for your personal lifestyles choices.
-Don’t have to go through Ramseys spousal interview
I genuinely don’t get it. Even if I agreed with 100% of what Dave says, I would refuse to have my employer involved in my personal life/choices.

I think I’d you are really dedicated and believe in their mission that those things will be fine for you. To me it’s too far but to each their own. But while their process is wild to me I do give them a tiny piece of credit that they don’t hide the ball on it. At least if you decide to work there the quirky aspects of working there are communicated up front rather than hiding it and sprinting it.

I believe it’s the mission, people want purpose and mission and they will take that over money.

I can't speak for any Ramsey employee or applicants, but I gather a lot of it has to do with wanting to work at a place that adheres to your religious and worldview. Also, corporate America isn't the beacon of open mindedness and diversity that you make it out to be. Conservatives and traditionalists are frequently ostracized, penalized, or outright dismissed. The majority of corporate America is liberal so one can easily see why a Christian conservative would want to work for a company that claims to support those values.
