My dad was an engineer for Southern Pacific / Union Pacific for 40 years. So when i saw the 1st auto rack that still had the SP logo on it, it reminded me of him
This video can only be improved by putting on the 1973 ZZ Top hit song while fhe trains pass. I don't know why that is. Probable science has an answer. Buen día, Senior Jaws. Good day, amigo. RT sends/envia, Puebla, México.
The ZZ Top song La Grange is about a house of ill repute in La Grange, Texas, so it wouldn’t really be fitting for a Jaw Tooth street running train video in La Grange, Kentucky.
That was a long CSX mixed manifest with a BNSF locomotive helping. It was a nice-looking locomotive at that! The flat car on the rear sounded like it was ready to fall apart! Perhaps that's why it was on the rear, in case it did. 😊😊😊❤❤❤
Thanks for watching! Thanks for your support Mark! I really appreciate it. That helps the gas tab a lot. Over the weekend I was in Troy and Tipp City, Ohio. I will post those soon. I might be going to Iowa to film with Jason Asselin
Seeing trains running through downtown La grange, just fascinates me. And I’m sure the owners of those hotels get plenty of business from railfans. Pretty neat seeing those old CR boxes. Thanks JT.
You gave us a fabulous videotoday, JT! Just like always. Thank you very much for the trains, and for the tour of downtown Lagrange. I really enjoyed it! 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
I always enjoy watching the main street of LAGrange Kentucky on Railfan seeing the trains going through and everyone has to wait until it goes through to continue onward and I like it when you film here because it is a really nice city with the tracks running through the middle of town and as always I like seeing the awesome live action pets in action have a great week watching the trains Thanks Jaw Tooth.🇺🇲🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🇺🇲
When I used to work with the railroad as freight car inspector my job was to detect defects on trains and sent them to the repair track in 20 years. I saw many defects on trains even broken wheels. Keep up the good work Jaw tooth doing a great job.
Amazing place for trainspotting. Interesting fact about the speed of train in the streets of La Grange. I can't imagine that we have something similar in Europe. Greetings from Czech republic.
An awesome video JT and I would love to stay in one of those air B and B hotels, facing the track specially, on the second floor that would be awesome because at night no matter which one you was in, you would get a good shot of the trains coming through at night But anyway, my friend thanks for the tour of town and you stay safe out there and watch your back and we’ll catch you on the next one
Thanks J.T. for your videos. I actually experienced my first DPU "in-person" yesterday while sitting at a crossing and like you have said in other videos, I heard it before I saw it. What a massive, guttural sound! It was on the CSX line running out of Indianapolis SW to the NE paralleling IN-67 in McCordsville, IN. Keep up the good work sir!!
Wow, a Conrail box car! Makes me miss the blue locomotives running around the Horse Shoe Curve. I have albums of train photos like that....somewhere lol.
Thank you for the cool videos. Those auto racks might be carrying trucks from the Ford truck plant, if you think about the average cost of a big truck nowadays, $75,000 x 10 trucks to one auto rack= $750,000.00 x 100 auto racks Well you get the idea lol.. Tou're looking at a hundred million dollar train moving thru the city including the other cars and train engines.. Multiple times a day all over the nation, that's a LOT of consumer goods going back and forth across the rails Love the trains.
I used to eat that cheese like that when I was a kid, but I never thought about giving it to my dog like that. I'm sure he'd like it. 👍 I love seeing your pets. 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
That was cool. Only shifting I see near here in the streets is the M&H R.R. shifting in Middletown Pa. With an old Alco Western Maryland yard shifter.Engine 151 still has the Western Maryland logo.
Hey jaw tooth always exiting watching trains street running. You probably showed up on virtual railfans camera while filming 2nd train. It's on building across street from where you filmed 2nd train. Have a great railroad day. 🚂🙋♀️
The two trains were long. The first train took a long time to pass through LaGrange, Kentucky. Thank you staying late in Kentucky to catch these trains. Did you notice that the two auto parts boxcars with the Conrail logos had NYC (New York Central) reporting marks?
They left the windows in because the frames added structural stability. Most likely removed abd sent to be restored and upgraded. There is a place in Bradley IL. that does that kind of work.
LaGrange is an awesome spot. like to open a store right in town with outdoor seating to watch the trains. I wonder how many cars clipped that open pit at the stop sign where the tracks open up? I suppose the whole area is under construction. get place to film and thanks for including the historic buildings.
60 years ago no doubt LaGrange was pretty much just another rural town in Kentucky and the average fan probably hadn't even heard of it but now in 2024 it's a tourist destination. Filled with shops and restaurants and the BNBs that even cater to rail fans. Seeing how close the fit was in the yard you can just imagine every day on the a.m. conference call at CSX no doubt the question is raised did anything happen at LaGrange yesterday? Fortunately this one went down in the books a's just another day
OH MY GOD I love looking at street running trains. What a darn good sight to see
I have a playlist called Street Running Trains with more cities like this. Thanks for watching!
I occasionally watch the live feed from LaGrange late at night because the scene is beautiful.

Plus copyright claims would also be his problem on that guys.
Yes, indeed I never thought about that but that would be awesome

The cars with NYC reporting marks are the ones CSX assumed ownership of after the Conrail split. Norfolk Southern's share got PRR reporting marks.
