An Unconventional Cleric/Ranger Multiclass Build for Shadowheart | Baldur's Gate 3

- This is an unconventional take on a Shadowheart build multiclassing Cleric and Ranger, to create a setup that could heal effectively, support the party, but also deal respectable damage without the need to use up spell slots; and it worked surprisingly well.

This is a great idea for a multiclass. Don't know why it's not more popular and it also fits her character perfectly. Thanks for the brilliant video. It's also very tempting to make her a beast master ranger with a wolf companion for obvious reasons.
Thanks so much for this video. I joined a group later on and am playing cleric for the first time. I was looking for a build for this exact situation!
I'm actually running this now on my honour mode run and am really enjoying it. Thanks for sharing!
Christ bless you, this is super cool ngl gonna try it now. Thanks!
I play life cleric and had same thoughts! Thank you for the video!
Ran a version of this for my Tav. Used one level Sorc for con saves and shield spell. Then 6 war cleric/5 gloomstalker. I pull up spirit guardians and go crazy as I move around the battlefield
I was actually having the same issue with Shadowheart: wanted to keep her as my main healer, but didn't want to use spellslots for damage. Ended up redoing her as a straight tempest domain cleric but increase her strength score for more melee damage. Might try this out for the bow damage though.
I'm currently runnning shadowheart as tempest but with high dex and twin hand crossbows because I kind of found her lacking in previous playthroughs as strength melee based.
Think I'll try re setting into multiclass with ranger to get extra attack. I'll loose out on divine strike but extra attack should make up for that
(IE 2 X 1d6 + DEX > 1d6 + DEX + 1d8, same for STR but bad range alternative for STR).
Might try a different domain to tempest as well. Maybe light or life?
Might also try longbow instead of twin hand crossbow as offhand doesn't get DEX damage anymore and longbow would give me more range.
Out of curiosity why are you having Shadowheart dual wielding hand crossbows? Would you recommend taking a level of fighter for two weapon fighting?
Wouldn't the plate armor hamper her Dex on the bows?
It would, which is why you don't use heavy armor with this build.
@@RozalinGamingthere is several pieces of medium armor that add your dexterity modifier to your armor class without affecting your stealth modifier. I can’t help but think those would be useful for this build
@@__dane__ I used the medium armor that let you add your full dex modifier to AC for this build; I found 2 of them, both I believe were purchased from vendors. Armor that doesn't hinder stealth is fine but I never used stealth with this build personally.
Is this a private video?
Not sure how you found it, but it's a video I haven't released yet.
HACKER
