A little late to the party but who cares, right? This is RUclips! Anyway, I got the 9530 (i9 + 40W RTX 4070 + FHD). Don't hate. It was a corporate decision. I had limited options. I know it'll be a significant bump with the 4070 even if it's capped at 40W. It's not a gaming device but it'll do me just fine given the games I do play. The only buyer's remorse I have is the FHD. I can't say for sure at this point since the device only arrives next week. In any case, I did a lot of research and made a choice given my limited options. (Nothing marketed as gaming makes it through the corporate gate.)
@@ahmedaliiiii this was pre macbook experience. I'd get a m3 macbook in a heartbeat over this. Way way better battery life. Or maybe the Surface Laptop 7 with the snapdragon X cpu. There's been too many advances in mobile computing for you to look at this. Unless it's sub $700 it's overpriced for what you'd get
I'm glad I saw this as I was on the fence if I made the right decision. I just got the 9510 ordered for $1299 to use for editing when I travel and the amount that I saved not only allowed me to buy a new Wacom Tablet, (2) 2 tb Evo SSD's and 64gb RAM.
I got the 9510 OLED i7 16GB 1TB for $999 open box. Stunning screen. But the problem is that the trackpad is loose and very annoying. But nothing a bit of white duct tape can't fix.
@@91manueltijerina Congrats! It's an unbeatable laptop for the price. I love mine. I just wish they didn't preinstall windows 11 on it. Windows 11 is so slow and buggy on all my laptops regardless of spec.
I think I'm waiting for the 4000 series mobile to upgrade. Just want a bit more flexibility in use case even if the priority for a laptop like this is thin and mobile. Hopefully throttling will be less of an issue if the updated graphics aren't pushed as hard.
@@anandmasurkar4840 Yes and no. Under stress, yes. Browsing the Web, no. If you need a quiet machine, this isn't the best but it's not the worst. It's fast. I have an additional SSD for 2tb. Windows 11 has some issues so make sure you update all the drivers. If you love Windows like I do, this is a great machine. I tweaked it to eliminate edge in search.
@@giocant2944 i haven't tested the battery because i use it as a desktop replacement. It's plugged in all the time. I have the OLED screen so the battery is probably less than the regular non OLED. I would guess 6 to 7 hours

I got a 9510 at best buy certified refurbished (i7 + 3050ti model) for $925. Insane deal!
I got it for $800, it was a blessing
@Hershey 2k Keep on the lookout at BestBuy there are deals like that there.
Hello Nolan,

@Hershey 2k Dell had it on sale for $1400 then I used my company discount saving a little more.
You bought the 2tb and 64gb right? It did not come with the dell deal?

@@DrCureAging just few small scratches on body not on screen so in not complaining. Good laptop
I agree , go with the 4K display, its absolutely worth it even on XPS 13. i have no problem to sacrifice some battery life for a good screen
XPS 9510 FHD going for 1100 open box at BB ...good buy imo

I bought the i9 9520 with the OLED. Expensive but for my work it's worth getting the top specs. And so far, no throttling.
Hello Dane any issues with fan noise and battery life?? Ordered same model.

Office work FHD is planty enough
9520 for sure, 9510 has too many issues
I'd say go with 9520. 9510 had a ton of trackpad problems and they redesigned the trackpad on the new one.
battery life all the way
