    Wouldn’t live in London if you paid me, which you’d have to do because it’s extortionately expensive! I really love it here in Lincolnshire, surrounded by nature and farming!

    Hi Andrew, those gone back to London I'm pleased about they obviously don't understand the country side, I'm surprised they didn't complain about the lack of noise. 😅😂.
    Keep the videos coming.

    Morning Andrew. Cracking update again, isn’t it lovely to see the goslings on the pond. I came across a video from P X Farms and he is just north of Cambridgeshire and he was also complaining about the lack off maintenance on the rivers buy the EA. I’ve also heard off people move from city’s to the country and then moved back because it’s to quiet, trouble is down here we’ve got to many off them moved from the city get on the local council and change everything that the country does which is frustrating.

    Another good update Andrew, we all have to eat humble pie sometimes. I am very impressed with your sprayer, a lot of thought and planning went into it and the end result is outstanding. I don't see how people can say the countryside is boring, I have lived in it for 59 years and wouldn't want to live anywhere else. See you on Sunday Morning for another update.

    Another great update Andrew. Really good content, not just interesting but educational. As far as the comment goes about the countryside being boring, we are all different, but there is nothing better than an early morning walk in the spring time through a wood or along some of the footpaths all over the countryside. Anyway Andrew, thanks and looking forward to Sundays update.

    Got a neighbour with a flood release valve which drains our fields abit during severe flood events, the pipe is slowly caving in and a sink hole has appeared. The drainage board/ EA want to just block it off with clay so we will have no means of drainage. We also have/had a non return valve from the river which should allow flood water to drain back into the river when the river level drops, this valve and the precast concrete fell in the river and the idb and ea washed their hands of renewing it, so now we have an open inlet from the river which floods us even before the rivers full. Flood water is being forced on many of us

      @@WardysWaffleAndrewWardYour idbs seem to be still run and work done by locals. The tender for our idb work was won by a chap from 100 miles away with no kit, he just employs who he can find at the time, the ditch flailing last year was done by a firm who live 200 mile away . Its a joke, the idb is an old fogie club and the local case officer has no experience or idea but it didnt put them off taking the job...or being given it!

    Hi Andy, Best let those Londoner/Southerners go back they don`t understand. The drainage ditches are looking good are you planning to maintain them to this standard annually.?
    The sprayer is very interesting, how or who decides on the nitrogen % and how is the level determined.? I`m also looking forward to seeing how the beans develop over the next weeks, I hope there successful.
    Is you farm open day open to everyone or is it restricted.?

    • @WardysWaffleAndrewWard
      @WardysWaffleAndrewWard  3 месяца назад +1

      The ditches will be done every 3 or 4 years, nitrogen applications goes on past experience, our trials results and recommendations from a few discussion groups I belong. Farm open day will be open to all, I’ll give the booking details when they go live.

      No they don’t. They do fix some nitrogen but not as much as ordinary beans.

    Hello Andrew, I had been thinking for a while now how calmly you were seeming to be taking the situation regarding some things relating to the business, like the difference in price received for some crops to what was expected and the huge areas not being cropped this year. I think you were fortunate regarding the fertiliser a couple of years back but since then with what was the backbone BPS getting less it is a rather different situation. Loss making crops are pointless but the overheads still have to be found. Will you be using this opportunity for black grass control and or fertility building cover crops? How much better than continual wheat is a first wheat and of course will many others be doing the same? I will be interested to hear what you are doing and how you think it will all shake out with cashflow etc as you said it could be a good while before the effects shake out, without any further events of any sort. Either way I can wait for the explanation in your video no problem, hopefully all goes well from now and it is a reasonable harvest.
